It was fairly slow(compared to Tuesdays) and the bartenders were rude, slow, and continuously leaving the bar for 10s of minutes. I saw a lot of martinis and cocktails coming out of the bar. There are waitresses, but it looked like just 1 bartender. She was BUSY! Waitresses were just standing there while the 1 'tender was working her ass off. We sat at the bar and barely got service because she was so busy. I of course don't know how the place works, but it seems like someone could have helped her. We only stayed for 1 beer and left because we couldn't get any of the bartender's time. It would be a cool place to hang if maybe we sat at a table. (I felt out of place being in my Packer's gear.) I see they do live jazz music. That might be worth going back for someday.

The flavors were underwhelming, with the mezcal-based Oaxacanite being the only standout. Hoping to see improvements on our next visit.

I also want to say the drink menu was really diverse and reasonable priced as was the entire menu given this is a boutique fine dining experience. A dining experience not easily found in the area. This enabled us to scout out the food that looked good, too, and it turned out they had a lot of awesome-looking food! We had impeccable service from Noah. The dining room was PACKED but we were never left wanting for anything, and every interaction was friendly and helpful. I wish more restaurants had service of this caliber! We started off with a Wisconsin old fashioned and a Brussels sprouts appetizer. The drink was great, and we were both really impressed with the amount and flavor of the Brussels sprouts. I then ordered a Caramel Confessions drink, which was sweet and amazing (I saved some for the end, as my dessert) while my husband had a local beer. For our main dish, we split the YOLO pizza, what they called the meat lovers'. It was delicious. I'm a bread snob, and I make my own pizza dough, and their crust as fantastic with good chewiness. Toppings were plentiful, and the cheese even had a great pull. We were full after that. Really, just a fantastic place in every way. I'd be happy to come here again on another visit to the area.

Le Cave was quite busy so it took a while for us to get our two drinks. We finally got our food after a little over an hour. My husband got the lamb wellington but they didn't have lamb and offered beef instead. The sauce was overly salted. So i couldn't try more than the tiny bite i took. I got The lobster risotto. It had mixed reviews but i thought i would try it and have my own judgement. It was also the waitresses favorite. I will say, the herbs in the risotto was over powering and the lobster which was supposed to be poached tasted grilled and was over cooked. Like many other reviews, i couldn't cut it with my butter knife. Perhaps a steak knife would've helped. But it still doesn't help the fact that it was over cooked. The side of butter was unnecessary as everything was too flavorful. And the edamames were just a tad bit too much. Escargot was over cooked. The herb butter was flavorless. We were very disappointed as this was what we were looking forward to the most. Fois gre was ok. $200 dinner and we were not impressed. But it was worth a try.
