Nice large dining room and bar. It was much bigger inside than I thought it would be. The wine menu was about what I expected it to be. I saw some people dressed up & some in shorts & hoodies. The service was good for the most part. We weren't offered refills and I was a little upset that we were offered oil to dip the bread in but were not told it was an up-charge. I knew as soon as I saw it but I was expecting the little plate with a drizzle in it that most Italian places offer. She called it hot oil, and it was spicy. I just think they need to specify that it's an add on. The portions were a good size. The tomato basil soup had cream in it which I wasn't expecting. Again, something small but could be better. The Italian wedding soup was oily and didn't have any meatballs. My main issue is that most of the food only tasted like salt. The pasta was over cooked and soggy. I got chicken piccata and I drizzled some of that hot oil on it and squeezed on the lemon from my tea to give it some flavor. My husband had a lasagna. He said it was "basic".

These are very thin pizzas. The edges were much too burned for me most of the time. This is very typical of wood-fired pizzas in my opinion. Even the culinary hub of the Greater Los Angeles area where I lived for 10 years. Also, their dough itself was not very flavorful or enjoyable to eat, so I dug into my brother and sister-in-law's kitchen to create my own dipping sauce. Maybe they've created some since I tried them last summer, but I haven't heard about it. Because the owners were so generous and kept the pizzas coming for our hungry crowd - plus I wasn't the one paying the tab and didn't have a say in "more 505s please" - I can't go lower than 4 stars even if they aren't my favorite pizzas. The customer service was very welcoming and efficient when I went to pick it up. The worst part is their location in correlation with the intersections and busy Grimes Street. Plus their parking lot wraps around with silly slanted parking lines... This Domino's unlike the second location on Joe Harvet Blvd has a dining area which seemed nice and clean with only a few patrons.
