I regret not writing this review sooner, but...as it is regarding flowers that were designed for my Father's funeral, I hope it will be understood that I've had other things on my mind. When my Father passed in October of 2018, I had no idea who to call in Huntersville, NC to design a wreath. We have a beautiful photograph of my father when he was a young (very young) man in the US Navy and we really wanted that photo to be a part of the flower arrangement. I call two florists in Huntersville before I found Big Bud's and was told that "No way could I get something like that in such a short period of time; especially for the amount of money you are willing to spend." The pictures of the wreaths surrounding a picture frame that were provided on the websites were just not what I was looking for and not what I thought would pay tribute to my Father in the proper way. I came across Big Bud's Florist' on the internet and ordered the wreath that was pictured, gave my credit card information and in the "extra information" area, gave a description of what we really wanted (because it was not during business hours and there was no one available to talk to by phone.) The next day, I received a call from Big Bud's and was assured that they would put together something nice for me. I was a little nervous, but it was short notice and I didn't have an outrageous amount of money to spend, but for the amount I was spending I still wanted something at least a little nice. When they showed up at my Father's visitation before the funeral with the arrangement, it brought tears to my eyes. Big Bud's Florist went SO above and beyond what I even expected and they designed the most beautiful arrangement! EVERYONE at the funeral paid compliments to how beautiful that wreath was and how beautifully it held and highlighted the framed picture of my Father. There are not enough words (even though I've used so many) to thank Big Bud's for the beautiful job they did, and the kindness with which they did their work. They were so thoughtful and even called to give their sympathy afterwards. I hope that they are a huge success because people who run a business this way deserve all the good things that a successful business has to offer. Big Bud's came through in a very difficult time. I needed flowers for my best friend's mother's funeral the day after Mother's Day, and with that and the shortage of flowers due to COVID, I was hitting a wall. The one thing she wanted for her funeral was lots of flowers, so I was working hard to find someone to fill an order. After calling most of the florists in the Charlotte area, and finding that no one would be able to get flowers, I came across Big Bud's Florist, and they were a dream. Luke assured me that they had enough flowers to fill my order, and even though mine was going to be the last order they would take, they took my parents' order, as well. Both Luke and Elaine were very patient with all of our questions, and they could tell that this was very important to us. They assured us (when no other place could) that they would get the flowers to the funeral home for the service, even though they were already pulling all-nighters because of Mother's Day. I cannot thank them enough for how hard they worked to ensure that these arrangements were at the funeral. They even sent a picture of the finished arrangement and the placement of the flowers at the funeral home, which put me at ease, since COVID restrictions prevented me from being there. This was the best possible situation in an otherwise trying and frustrating time, and I am incredibly thankful that I found them. read more

My best friend of 18 years finally moved to Charlotte with her family. Because of social distancing due to COVID19 I wasn't able to welcome her, let alone see her, so I thought a welcome home flower arrangement would be a nice way to say hi. After no luck with inventory on multiple online sites, I looked up local Huntersville florists. Big Buds appeared (I liked the name) so I found a pretty spring arrangement. They are honoring social distancing with no contact deliveries. They were also able to do next day deliveries. I received a call from them the morning of delivery to discuss substitution options, as they were having hard times getting certain flowers at this time. Alaine was so friendly and professional, giving me many options to choose from. I got a picture from my friend that evening with a bouquet of flowers that were even more beautiful than the ones I picked originally!! I will be a forever customer now. I called them on 12/22/21 at about 5:30 pm for a delivery on 12/23/21. The sweet young woman who answered (one of the owners as this is a small family business) politely answered my call and asked if I wouldn't mind placing the order online, which I did. I noted some changes for the floral arrangement and she called & sent pic 8:30am on 12/23 of the completed arrangement already in the fridge and ready for delivery. WOW!!! Such amazing service from start to finish! Luke, the floral designer (another family member), did an exquisite job. I've used them in the past and they keep outdoing themselves. I'm so glad I found a small mom&pop business for flowers. You will not be disappointed - give them a try. They survived the pandemic closures and will continue to thrive by being professional and smart in these ever changing times! Stay away from 1-800- FLOWERS, they are horrible. Amazing customer services from Big Bud's Florist! From the first phone call to the picture sent via text to the delivery... customer service was superb!! I called a few days before Christmas. I spoke with Alaine and shared that I did not want a Christmas themed arrangement. Unfortunately, my sister and BIL had lost their fur baby a year ago on Christmas Day and we wanted them to know we were thinking of them. Alaine listened to my request and shared her idea. I knew immediately it was going to be perfect. She shared that she would send a text with a picture of the arrangement prior to delivery! Wow..very personal service! You certainly do not get that with the big box florist! Shortly after our conversation I received a text with a picture of the beautiful bouquet that Luke had arranged. It was absolutely perfect!!! My best friend had a baby, and I was having difficulty finding a florist who would deliver to hospitals given the current Covid climate. I also live out of state, so I had nothing to go on but reviews. I stumbled upon Big Bud's Florist, working directly with Alaine. She is amazing! Extremely accommodating and very communicative. I told her what I was looking for, and she offered a few ideas based on my needs and price point. Most importantly, the customer service is on point. Usually you go online to order flowers, and never really know what's happening on the back-end, or even with delivery. Or, you call a florist, place the order, and hope for the best. With Big Bud's, it was refreshing to be able to text delivery details, or more importantly, a sudden change to these details (my friend was admitted under her maiden name instead). I was texted a picture of the floral arrangement, and a confirmation of delivery. With everything being digital nowadays, this was honestly so awesome. Would totally order from here again. read more

I contacted Big Bud's Florist late in the day before my father's 90th birthday party in Huntersville. Alaine thoughtfully chose flowers that would match the occasion and theme. The original delivery time was early in the morning, but Alaine wanted to use the very freshest flowers that she would get later that morning, so she changed the delivery time to later in the day, but still in time for the party. Luke designed a stunningly beautiful and unique arrangement. Alaine was always reachable and kept in touch with both me and the host of the party about the status of the order. She even waited until it was a reasonable hour in the morning Pacific time to call me to say the flowers were delivered. And she sent a photo of the arrangement, which I keep looking at and admiring, as well as the photos of it my family sent from the party. Big Bud's service and quality of product are exemplary. I had a great experience with Big Bud's Florist. I chose them on-line because they were local to my aunt, who is ill. And I liked that their on-line orders had a 'customization' choice -- I could specify some colors and flowers and let them create just what I wanted. I envisioned a beautiful, brightly colored bouquet to brighten my aunt's day. Their service was excellent -- flowers delivered the same day. Elaine called me to let me know my aunt had received them. Elaine said they had hand-written my message in the card, they want that personal touch, and took care to create just the bouquet I had asked for. Indeed, it exceeded my expectations! Words can say enough! Big Bud's # 1.....Not only a beautiful flower arrangement but a business that takes it to the next level. A photo was texted to show the quality and a personal that you call after the delivery was make....My sister in law's father passed away and I wanted to not only send flowers to service but found a market that would create a platter for the house. The market would not deliver or take payment over the phone. The owner of the flower shop went up and beyond to offer to go to the market pick it up and deliver it. It ended up my brother was able to get it, but who does that anymore! Amazing! And Thank you so much ! My mom sent me the most stunning flowers for Valentine's day. They brightened the room, smelled amazing and stayed fresh for so long. I immediately had to ask her for their contact. They did such a unique arrangement with a variety of flowers and greenery, not your typical boring roses. They also delivered straight to my door! I was able to make my own order with them recently for a last minute floral arrangement and the customer service was beyond expected, I wanted a specific design and she did that and more. What a wonderful experience from start to finish! I needed the perfect last minute floral arrangement and I had lots of questions. When I called, not only did someone answer the phone immediately, but they were cheerful and incredibly helpful with input, as well as reassuring about a timely delivery. The arrangement was breathtaking! It was as if the designer could see the picture I had in my mind. And here's something extra special....they even texted me ta picture of the gorgeous arrangement before delivery!! Mother's Day crept up on us and we were late in ordering long distance for our daughter-in-law. Alaine took my order but couldn't promise that it would get there in time, but she was so nice I said, OK go ahead and do what you can. She called on Monday to apologize that her wholesaler didn't come through but Tuesday would be definite. She called late afternoon Tuesday to report that she had just delivered the order and our daughter-in-law was delighted. I've never experienced this level of attention on a long-distance basis. She said that since the arrangement was custom I had the right to name it and she was going to put it on her website, or at least offer it as an optional arrangement. These people rock. I enjoyed my first experience with Big Bud's Florist. One of my church friends had emergency surgery, and I wanted to get her some nice flowers so that she knew how much our praise team appreciates her. I looked up flowers places near me, and found Big Bud's. I pass the location all the time when delivering Instacart. The owner was so nice, attentive, and went to work right away. Boy did she deliver. I wasn't sure what color to get, but found out fall colors is her favorite so it worked out. We even talked about possible opportunities for me with the business. Picking a local florist when you're from out of town is a very difficult thing especially for a not so happy reason. Lane at Big Bud's Florist was slammed asked if she could call me back and she did just that within 5 minutes. I sent a picture of a unique arrangement to her and she was extremely accommodating. They put their creative touch to the piece and it was absolutely BEAUTIFUL!!! My expectations were more than exceeded and recommend them to everyone!! They go ABOVE and BEYOND to exceed expectations! I placed an order online and expected the typical emailed, canned response. What I received was so much more! I received a phone call letting me know the delivery had been made and letting me know the size plant I paid for was not available, so they UPGRADED me without charge! I would have expected a call or email asking me if I wanted to downgrade or pay more. Instead they delivered the most gorgeous plant to a friend that lost her father without charging me more. Wanted to order some holiday cheer for our family in Huntersville. We were on the hunt for a local florist to support, especially during COVID times. I stumbled upon Big Bud and saw the glowing reviews. The online selection was reasonable and the arrangements were so pretty! But the real treat is the customer service. Alaine not only sent a photos of the flowers after they were delivered, but she called to apologize for not being able to take a picture of the recipient with the flowers. What what?! I called from Iowa to have flowers delivered to my mom in Huntersville. Came across Big Buds florist and the reviews and decided to give them a try. All I can say is my brother, who saw the flowers along with my mom was very impressed with the arrangement. Then I was impressed the next day when the owner called to apologize saying she forgot to send me a picture of the flowers they delivered and going to send me a picture now.
