I explained what I wanted to send to my daughter and Alaine asked questions also, trying to determine what my daughter likes, i.e., colors, etc. I appreciate that Alaine actually listened and was interested in putting a bouquet together that my daughter would love. She asked how much I wanted to spend. Next I picked out a bouquet from the website and she let me know that she is a licensed massage therapist and if I wanted to add anything on that gift certificates were also available along with candles. I felt no pressure to add anything but my daughter loves candles so I asked Alaine to add a candle. The whole ordering process took only a few minutes. I received an invoice link via text and paid for the order and done Within an hour or less Alaine sent me a picture of the bouquet and candle and it was even better than the picture the website! And the candle was so pretty Next, my daughter called me to say how surprised she was and to thank me. She loved the bouquet and she really LOVED the fragrance of the candle! I ordered roses to be delivered to my daughter at her school for valentines. Big Buds decided that I gave them the wrong address and school name and without calling me, they decided my daughter went to a different school and supposedly delivered them there. when I call big buds to ask why my daughter didn't receive the flowers they told me I gave them the wrong address. I gave them the correct address and they changed it, again without even calling me. the owner then took several minutes to explain to me why it was my fault. when I told him their actions just broke an 8 year tradition the owner said "well, things happen, mover on!". he then cursed at me and hung up. my daughter didn't not get the flowers and all I got was a 10% refund. heartless and horrible man. read more

Although I am in California, I wanted to arrange to surprise a very special friend in Huntersville with a beautiful assortment of flowers. I so badly wanted to like and appreciate this florist shop. Unfortunately it was one bad thing after the other. I placed the order earlier this week, for a pick up at their Huntersville location as stated in the website on Saturday. I noticed the shops opened at 9am and so I made a note before checking out with my premium bouquet that I'd like to pick it up Saturday AM. Saturday morning rolls around, and I call the shop asking when I can come pick up, I was told it won't be ready until 12pm in the NoDa location. The lady was nice, and apologized. Informed me of complimentary delivery if I'd like and that she'll have my order at the first of the list to ensure that it's ready soon. I notified her I'll take her up on the complimentary delivery, and that I'll be home most of the day. 6PM rolls around and no delivery, no status update. I was en route to dinner and had to call to check where my flower were. I was told the florist delivery had gotten re routed a few times but en route. I would've appreciated an update, especially if I had mentioned I'd like it early in the day. I finally received the premium flowers I purchased, and I'm so incredibly disappointed. This is not the premium that I thought I would have gotten based on the price. Extremely disappointed, and unfortunately will not be recommending. To top it off, the note was hand written and I would've thought it was at least printed... so disappointing given these to my momma for her 50th birthday, I would've done 1-800 flowers next time. read more

My Grandmother was celebrating her 95th birthday. I ordered flowers from a larger online company (Ava's Flowers) over 24 hours in advance and long story short they completely dropped the ball. The delivery got delayed, TWICE, and I finally gave up. I called Big Bud's and first of all - a human being answered the phone! Luke and Alaine were so kind and so understanding of my situation and jumped at the chance to help. They were able to take my order and deliver the flowers within just a few hours and were kind, professional and very responsive every step of the way. I will recommend this company to all my family and friends in North Carolina and cannot thank them enough for helping me make my Grandmother's day just a little more special. ** Editing to add - she called after she received the bouquet and said it's the most beautiful arrangement she's ever seen. Ordered flowers for Valentine's Day. Was assured they would be delivered by that date and used Big Bud's to support local businesses and because they had done good work in the past. Was also told that direct orders (vs. FTD/Flowers.com) would be given priority. After no delivery by 4:45 PM I texted the contact, Elaine, and they said they'd be there by 9 PM. No worries, I replied, we wouldn't be home until later and to simply leave on the porch, which they agreed to and confirmed. No flowers were delivered on the 14th and no follow up by the company. A text that they had issues would have been appreciated. I then texted around midnight with an admittedly immature comment calling them "Little Bud's" and stating this is no way to run a business expecting to hear back the next morning. No call or response. I had to call them the next morning. They said they'd send them sometime on the 15th. This was completely unacceptable customer service and communications. I will not recommend them any longer. Update: Called them at 11:30 on the 15th and they said they'd get the delivery out at 2:00 PM, as I heard no other follow up after my first call. The owner Luke said he'd "hook me up next time". I laughed as I told him there would be no next time and hung up. Elaine calls me saying she felt "disrespected", I assume because I asked for them to simply do what I paid for. They said they're reimbursing me and I'll not get flowers. I pretty much never leave reviews, but I have to for this, as you deserve to know the kind of horrible business owner you'd be supporting if you bought from this company. Their driver STOLE the flower arrangement I sent my mom for Mother's Day. Their customer service rep was very friendly the entire time on the phone, so I was trying to give them the benefit of the doubt, but they eventually admitted to my mom that they fired the driver because he just stole our bouquet and lied about having delivered it. That kind of stuff happens sometimes in business, and we were prepared to be understanding about it. However, my Mom then asked if she could GO PICK UP THE FLOWERS HERSELF and they said if she did that they would not process my refund. Flowers, for those who don't know, have the highest margins of any product in the world. They could have made the situation right for a few dollars, but the owner got on the phone with her and said he couldn't do that because "it would eat into his profits." My mom responded that he can't be serious, they missed mother's day entirely, and they want to charge us full price for her driving over and picking up replacement flowers? He said yes, and my mom said that we will of course leave a terrible review if this is how he does business, and he HUNG UP ON HER WITHOUT RESPONDING. The owner's name is Luke and he absolutely does not care about doing ethical business. Please take your business somewhere else and do not support this terrible company. There are plenty of great local florists in Huntersville and I would hate for any of them to struggle while this awful business makes money. I order flowers in Huntersville multiple times a year and I'm amazed how short-sighted these people could be to not only lose my potential future business but also cause a terrible review. They had to know this was coming, and if they delete my review I will just keep reposting it because nobody should support them without knowing how bad their customer service is if they screw up. And lastly, the ordering process is very annoying, as you can't place your full order online. They have to call you and get your CVV code over the phone, and when they do that, they offer you 10% off if you'll leave a review before they process your order. This is illegal solicitation of reviews, and it all but guarantees that every positive review you see here is fake. They should be reported to Google for doing this read more
