Even if I had expectations, Steve's service would have demolished them. I go into the shop, expecting to hear back in a week or so, and within ten minutes of leaving his shop, he calls us saying that the bed frame piece was fixed. I had been struggling with this project for almost two weeks, and Steve managed to fix it faster than the drive-tru at ChicFilA. I am still shocked and amazed at the affordable price and quick turnaround I received. If you have some stupidly proprietary piece of metal from some project that you have bungled, don't waste your time searching for an affordable replacement which will never exist. Save time and just take it to Steve so he can give you the result you initially wanted from the beginning.

Gives good, accurate estimate prices before performing work. Calls back after each step is complete and with updates. Has a proper schedule and does the work the day they say they will. They store all the cars inside at the end of the night. Came back to have my custom manifold fabricated and tuned. They worked hard to get it done by my deadline and went ABOVE and beyond. They don't do machine work so they sent my head to another shop. They quoted me $1,000 which I know is a crazy price but I was willing to pay because I heard they were the shop to go too. Boy was I wrong.. 2 months later Jennifer (lady at the front desk) called me and said "hey we don't have ur cam caps, you never gave them to us". I told her I 100% had everything in a box all nicely for them and she replied "I'll go look for them again" and didn't call back for another month saying they don't have the parts. Without those cam caps that they lost the engine is useless, they wouldn't admit to loosing the parts or anything. I have a big temper, so I tried my best to not go in there and act crazy to get my parts back and I also was really busy with work and just ended up giving up on the car because of this shop. She them called me a year later and told me if I was ever going to pickup my head and still pay them $1000... I don't understand how I still had to pay $1,000 for them loosing my parts and doing nothing but the resurface. I told her I will. I got a text from the owner Jerry about picking up my head and paying the bill to then find out they just sold my head and my bc racing springs. So basically I'm out of a $1500-2k head and $600+ worth springs. Long story short, don't waste ur time at this shop. Before all this happened I recommended my friend to this shop, he spent $9k and told to do basically anything it needs and he left with a car still not tuned right.

Not happy with Merlin's. I walked in a week ago looking for an oil change. They told me I'd have to…read morebook an appointment (pro tip: book an appointment before you go in). I told the guy before booking the appointment that I wanted their basic oil change for a truck I don't drive. He told me it would be $29. Boom, I booked the appointment. I show up. They do the oil change. At payment, I'm told it's $37. I scoff and tell them what I was quoted. The guy just looks at me and says, well... it's $35 + tax. So that's $37. I had a few options there, but the truth is my time was more valuable than the few extra dollars. So I paid it without uttering a single complaint. But I won't be back again, and I will be sure to tell others about my experience.
