They seemed to think that since I rented and didn't live there that they could take as much time as they wanted. Then when I finally arrived from out of state to see their work, I was astounded. They replaced my glass shower doors with the cheapest acrylic doors that don't even slide right in the runners. They also put the faucets on backward and damaged the mirror. Bob Maroney was told about these problems and said he would take a look. I haven't heard from him in 5 weeks. Apparently I'm screwed over by these guys. Don't use them.

As an average guy, I don't need or purchase many welding services, which makes their treatment of me all the more important. Even if you have a smaller job, (I needed to repair my mower deck for the riding mower after hitting a stump), this is the place to go. A new deck would cost me over $1,000, but they welded the two supports for $150. I believe they can even come to your location, but I took the mower deck to them. One note - you MUST enter off Spaulding Road, even though Waze and other apps might take you in a different way. Highly Recommend Jerry's Welding!

I brought my Honda HRX mower to them for a new carburetor in May of this year. They called me to…read moreask if I'd like a tuneup as well. Normally, I do that myself, but since it was there, I said go ahead and do it. Two weeks later they called and said the mower was ready. The problem was that, I wasn't ready. Not ready to be charged 250.00 for a carb and a tuneup. According to the notice on their counter, a tuneup consists of such things as a sparkplug, oil, and air filter change. Along with that, there is a blade sharpening, as well as scraping the dead grass from the deck's underside. Upon my inspection, I noticed the deck was untouched and the blade was not sharpened. The filter was changed, but nothing else was performed that would justify the high cost for the service. When I asked to speak to the manager for a price adjustment, I was told by the young woman attendant that the manager wasn't there. I asked her when the manager would be there, she replied that he didn't work at that facility. They apparently have another location. I said in reply that I won't pay the bill until the manager calls me in order to see if something can be taken off of what should be a 150.00 dollar job. Two weeks later, I haven't been contacted, and don't expect to. I've since written off the mower and obtained a replacement. Anyone considering this business for small engine repair should consider going elsewhere.

After reading all the reviews about Oakwood, I decided to give them a try and I'm glad I did. They first came out and provided us an estimate of the costs - which was good b/c then I knew which ones I would book immediately vs wait on. I then was able to schedule them to come out a week or two later for the work. I had quite the laundry list of items and they were here about 8 hours (1 to 2 people). At the end of the day, it was a costly day, but to be honest - not as bad as I expected - given how much I had them do. They provided me a source of comfort knowing that my electrical needs were being taken care of in a professional and safe manner. I thought the workers were really nice and did a great job. I would recommend Oakwood to anyone and I would use them again.

How I wish I wasn't placed in a position to share my unfortunate poor experience with Oakwood…read moreElectric, but here I am. I had asked them to add a light fixture to my outside porch going from one light to two. One person cut the hole in the brick on one day and another person came out the next day to install the light since it was towards the end of the day. Everything was fine until I was informed at that time that the hole was cut too big and the gentleman that was here couldn't complete the job. On the following day, a third person visited to install the light and although it did work out in the end, it didn't seem like much thought was given to this part of the project before cutting the hole. Plus that part took 3 different people in 3 different days to complete. Now, let's talk about the under the counter lights. To make a long story short, I had to have someone out three times to finally get them to 'work', but for the last 6 months there's an area that's been temperamental. I really got tired of calling and trying to coordinate my work day with them so I decided to just lived with it. I was told that the guys there have so much experience, which I'm sure they do, but if that's the case then it's probably a good idea to walk the walk. Now here we are today with one strip that is now not working at all, which is the same strip that's flickered for the last 6 months. The other two strips in the picture do still flicker. I expected and paid for a quality job and a set of lights that worked, but that's definitely not what I received. Now I'm likely going to have to have someone else come out, someone who can actually make them work, unless after reading this review Oakwood Electric will have enough pride and integrity to take the time to really make these lights work. Can't hurt to be hopeful....

Lastly, went in during September for a lawn aerator. Owner told me that if the ground was very dry it would be a waste of money because the tines probably would not penetrate.
