I needed an old but pristine piece of athletic equipment (a chrome plated multi-station Universal Machine weighing in at over a ton) in my garage moved in order to create room for my two automobiles to fit in limited space. Lou, the customer service agent, absolutely bent over backwards to make this possible for me, and made it happen with a pleasant can-do attitude to accommodate my needs and schedule. At his direction, two very strong, skilled, smart, and experienced men, Ro and Billy, showed up exactly as scheduled and proceeded to make what I thought was going to be a near-impossible task (akin to a proverbial root-canal...) look simple and easy. Moreover, they did so with courtesy , respect, a smile, and an approach that seemed to repeatedly shout out "What more can we do to help you and make your life easier and better?" They made some suggestions (and carried them out) that I had never before (in fifty years of using the equipment) imagined available and possible so that when all was said and done, I not only had my machine ideally positioned but also way more functional for my needs. Finally, after all of this was accomplished to my satisfaction, Lou, Ro and Billy all suggested that I only be charged a very reasonable amount for this service! Best money I ever spent! In sum, the customer service I received from Fitness Direct was the epitome of what it should be in a world when and where it is difficult to buy a smile, let alone true value. Just beware, they are quick to return your call when you are ready to buy, but as soon as u have issues, they are hard to get a hold of or give you the run around. They literally sell the same stuff a few other places do but like 30-40% more. I figured if I paid the extra premium I would get better service. I was wrong. In this instance, you DONT get what you pay for. I will never come back here again. Highly recommend you shop around as these guys never have the lowest price. And I'm all about supporting local business as you can order this stuff on line for literally 1/2 the price since you don't pay taxes. These are adjustable dumbbells from 5# to 90# that can be adjusted in 2.5# increments. I own a set at my Chicago home and believe these are the best adjustable dumbbells on the market. The owner, Gary, answered all my questions and provided an estimate of several pieces I was interested in. I told him I'm working on organizing my garage and would make the purchase when ready. Then the pandemic closes the gyms. This motivates me to finish my garage, but when I contact Gary to complete the order, he tells me that he's sold out AND there's a back order for months! It was a number of months later and quite frankly I forgot about them, but Justin from Fitness Warehouse USA contacts me to say my main items are available. Justin is very personable and was just as excited as me to provide the items ordered. He helped me load my items in my car and helped me decide on some additional equipment. What struck me most about Gary is his integrity. Dumbbells and many other types of exercise equipment are scarce and in high demand. There is a lot of price gouging and delivery favoritism occurring in this industry. Gary has a queue of when product arrives and who takes delivery. He also stayed true to his estimate, though he's fully aware of the price gouging (Especially Powerblock dumbbells) with fitness equipment and treated me exactly the same as where we left off when we initially met over 6-months ago. A few months back, it started making noise after riding it for a few minutes. It was a loud noise, and you could feel it in the pedals. I was really worried that a major bearing was going out. After getting to the point where I was worried that I was doing damage to the unit I started looking for someone to serve it and tell me what was wrong. I contacted the manufacturer and they would have sent someone local out, but the price for the service charge was outrageous. I decided to turn to Yelp to help me find someone to service the bike, and that's where I found coast fitness. I called coast fitness and was put in contact with their service manager. He gave me some ideas of what could be wrong, and they were not nearly as bad as I was thinking. He gave me the price for just the service call, and it was reasonable.So I set an appointment for the next morning. The next morning , a super nice tech named Trisha came out and I showed her the problems I was experiencing. After listening to the noise, she said she was pretty sure that the bearings and my pedals were going out. She swapped out the pedals and then continued to listen for any possible thing that could be wrong with it , but there wasn't anything. I mentioned to her that I had contacted the manufacturer about getting a tech but how expensive it was. She said the funny thing is that they probably would've contacted Coast Fitness to come out and look at the bike. With the great experience I had , I would definitely recommend Coast Fitness for any exercise equipment that you have , that may need servicing.

When I reached out to him to get another piece of equipment for me for a clients he asked me to make a deposit for him into his account to hold a piece of equipment. Having had previously good experiences, I was willing to do that for him to secure the order for me. Shortly there after, He stopped responding to my messages and texts and it took me almost a month to get a hold of him. He was very angry when I finally did claiming that I was inundating him with messages and calls while he was in Mexico and basically read me the riot act on the phone even though I explained to him that I was concerned that he had a deposit from a client from me for a piece of equipment and I had not heard back from him. He asked me if I wanted to cancel the order and get a refund of my deposit and I said yes I would like to do that. He then asked if he could deposit the money directly into my bank account but unfortunately there are no branches of my bank in the area that he does business in. I asked him to simply pay an invoice to me that I sent him via Square. It has been over a year and a half and I have never received any payment. Like the other gentleman stated, he never responds to text messages or answers the phone. I would strongly discourage anyone from doing Business with this gentleman under any circumstances. If you do, only pay him upon arrival or delivery of the equipment. My better judgment told me not to pay anything in advance but as I stated given to prior transactions with no problem I thought it was a safe thing to do. My mistake.
