I have been coming here for 10 years. Good clean store and a friendly staff willing to help. Always pretty well stocked with what I need.

Don't shop here. The staff doesn't want to sell hunting items and makes up reasons to not sell them to customers. Go to Turners!!

Abe and his partner gave me a flat rate fee (which I was content on paying) instead of a standard hourly service since it was a fix for two machines. Not only did I save $ on the service but they also had the parts ready to replace both the belt and particular model motherboard on hand. It took them a few hours to fix both machines and they even gave me a 30 day service warranty after. They also provided information on proper maintenance care before leaving. Top notch service! I would go with them again without a doubt.

Truly and excellent selection of sporting equipment for all types of sports! My wife and I stopped…read morein to pick her up some Hiking shoes over the weekend and the staff was very helpful. The store was also very organized and clean with lots of deals! It terms on hiking shoe selection they do have a decent amount of selection but most of the shoes are from the brand Denali which is exclusively sold at Big 5. Denali's are great if your looking for a budget option ~$30. They also had some Eddie Bauer & Hi Tec which are a good mid price ($40-$50). They were limited on the higher end options with only two pairs of Columbia ($70-$90). We ended up going with the the Colombia and my wife is thrilled because it's the most comfortable shoe. We both picked up some ecosox hiking socks and they are by far the most comfortable socks we've gotten! Which were recommended by the excellent staff. I'll admit that personally I've not been a big fan of Big 5 in the past because other stores have been cluttered, disorganized and picked over. But this store has changed my opinion! It seems to be excellently managed and I definitely will be looking here first the next time I need any sport equipment!

This new location in the Orangefair Mall is much nicer, spacious, and feels a lot bigger and organized than the old store. I was greeted immediately upon entry and was asked if I needed help finding anything. I actually did ask for help finding my items and she pointed out that the energy gels and chemical hand warmer packs were right up by the front register. I was in and out in only a few minutes. Big 5 also always has coupons, just look on their website or you can sign up for their email newsletter and receive a 10% off coupon instantly. She asked if I could stop by Target on the way to the park but I said, "No! We're boycotting Target!" and I went with the next best thing, BIg 5. I called to check and see if they sold kites and the guy that answered said, "Tights? Yeah we sell tights. Like workout..." and I interjected and yelled, "KITES not TIGHTS! KITES!! The thing that you fly at the park!" and he said, yes they sold kites. I arrived 5 minutes later and was greeted by one of the male employees who asked, "Hi, can we help you find anything?" and I said, "Yes, kites please," and he said, "Oh yeah, tights are right over ..." and I yelled, "KITES!! NOT TIGHTS!" He laughed and directed me to the kites. I ended up buying some Velcro mitt with a tennis ball and a cool pink frisbee as well. I think I paid around $20. No line, not crowded, fully stocked, tons of parking and the best employees!
