I called to have them look at my fur for possible alterations and cleaning. They were about to close but the owner kept the store open for me so I could come by that day. I was so impressed with the service I was given; she took the time to educate me on how to take care of my fur as well as letting me know other options for it (having it made into a vest, shortened, etc). I was made to feel so very important which is a rarity in any store nowadays. I can't wait to go back and purchase my new fur from them. read more

Yep, my mom finally bequeathed her full length mink coat to me. I had no idea how to maintain my new 'rat' so I took it to Bifano Furs and received my fur coat education. They store my 'rat' in the spring, summer, and part of fall. I took it out in November (they would have delivered it if I'd requested) and it had been nicely cleaned. This year when I return it to storage, they will condition it. One should alternate cleaning and condition every other year with a fine mink. They also mended an open seam in the lining and embroidered my name inside the coat. I know fur is not in vogue, but when it is really cold it is nice to have a warm coat to wear. I don't care what anyone else says, I feel luxurious wearing it. I would have never bought one for myself, but it is nice to have it since it was passed down to me. read more

When it comes to furrier's, the Bifano family are in a league of their own. They have been in business in Dallas for a long time. This year, 2019, marks their 100th year in business!! My step-dad bought a full length mink from them for my mom back in the late '80's. It was given to my wife recently and we contacted Bifano to give it a once over, cleaning, conditioning. The same gentleman that made that fur 30+ years ago is still there today doing his thing! The coat was reworked into 2 stunning vests, something that can actually be worn in Dallas winter. Their attention to detail and quality are amazing! Would never go anywhere else. But be advised, this is NOT a Burlington Coat Factory. Their security protocols are, understandably, a little different. You don't just walk in and wander around. Visits are by appointment only. read more

Beware! This place is a rip off. I took my coat in for minor repairs and cleaning. The lady told me it would be $1000 which had to be paid in cash only and used scare tactics me to confine me to leave my coat there . She said it was about to fall apart and that the European hooks needed to be replaced. I had one small rip under the arm and she said she "hoped" they could save it in order to make the repair. I had a bad feeling when I left and asked one of my friends about this horrific price and experience. She said it was out of line and go get my coat. I went back two days after dropping it off and asked for my coat. The lady told me it was taken apart and I couldn't have it. I told her I couldn't afford the price she quoted but she trapped me. I was a sitting goose and she took total advantage of me. Anyway, two weeks later she called that the coat was ready. I was out of town so I couldn't go get it. Then when I got home she called again and said if I didn't come get it, she would start adding storage charges. I did go get it and paid the cash she insisted upon. I will report that she did not even give me a receipt. I'm sure Uncle Sam would love that. To further substantiate this review.... I had another coat that needed the hooks moved and cleaning so I took it to another furrier and they only charged $150 to move the hooks and clean my coat which further documents that Bifano Furs is a scam. read more

We will be going to Dallas in a couple of weeks to dispose of my Mother-in-laws estate. She has a mink we'll be selling (we live in Florida). I have no clue how to properly price this for sale, so I called Bifano and spoke with a nice guy called Andy. Andy said if I'm just trying to find out how much to sell it for, as opposed to getting an appraisal for insurance purposes, Murray will probably do it for free if I bring it in before 2:30PM. I found a Bifano's Furs mink stole that my grandmother left me. No one in my family wears furs, and I wanted to go about selling it. I spoke to a woman named Marcine at Bifano's who told me that what I had did not have enough fur on it for them to consider, and it was a hard color to sell. She suggested eBay. I called back to see if they would appraise it. Marcine said they had to charge for that since they got hundreds of these calls a week. I am not in the fur buying tax bracket, but in my experience, Marcine was curt and dismissive. I don't care how busy you are. The phone is usually the first, and sometimes only point of contact. On top of that, it's a Bifano's fur. But Marcine doesn't know that, she wouldn't stay on the phone long enough. If I did buy furs, I would not use Bifano's simply for this reason. read more

I took my mother and mother-in-law's old furs to Bifano's to see what could be done to update them. They cleaned, conditioned and re-styled a 75 year old cape that was falling apart into a beautiful vest and a mink stole into a vest. Both pieces are stunning and perfect for Dallas winters. These pieces were just languishing in a closet for years and now are staples of my wardrobe. I can't say enough about the quality of work at Bifano's. The care and attention to detail is unique in this day of mass production. They styled to my measurements, not some arbitrary size. I highly recommend this business. read more

I should have trusted my gut. There is a negative vibe and a pushy sales person at the furrier. They only take cash and when I picked up my furs after they were cleaned, one is now coming apart at the bottom. She was trying to talk me into reworking one of the furs and it was not inexpensive. They don't give you a receipt after you pay them cash and they make you sign the receipt that they keep. What type of reputable business does not take checks or credit cards these days or give the customer a receipt. I would not recommend them. read more
