Great place to refresh after visiting Castillo San Cristobal! The smoothies were delicious and the service was wonderful.
Charming little shop right across from the historic Castillo San Felipe in Old San Juan. I ordered the passion fruit smoothie--it was on the smaller side but still refreshing. The decor is delightfully quirky, adding to the cozy, laid-back atmosphere. Given the shop's size, the bathroom was understandably compact, and seating was quite limited--we sat near the door, which gave us a nice street view. This spot is a great stop if you're heading into Old San Juan for a walking tour and need a quick, cool refreshment. The staff was incredibly friendly, and the açaí bowls looked appetizing. While the prices were a bit steep for two drinks, the overall vibe made it a pleasant experience. Would recommend if you're looking for a brief, relaxing break from the heat!
The smoothie was delicious and they were super kind and helpful with my order. They were able to make several modifications for my allergies which was wonderful! The style was fun and eclectic and I would totally want to come and sit here with a drink on the regular if I lived her. Highly recommend!
This spot is right across from Castillo San Cristobal and a welcome spot to refresh after a hot trek in the fort. There is limited seating - maybe 3 tables and a little sofa. It wouldn't be a great place to go with a large group of people. My daughter and I shared a table with a couple of people that looked like they needed to rest their feet. We ordered an açaí bowl, which was very refreshing and delicious. It did take a long time for it to be ready. There were many options for toppings and drizzles. It was a little on the pricey side, but most things are in this area.
Such a lively little cafe! I loved the artwork and the music playing made me want to dance! Had the La Resistencia smoothie and the Nutella waffle. Super nice women running the cafe. Great place to be if you want to immerse yourself in the Puerto Rican culture.
Loved this place! Stopped in after our visit to Castillo San Cristobal. Got a Don Fela and a strawberry mango. Staff was helpful when I didn't understand what to substitute when they were out of banana. A little pricey but worth the convenient refresher on our way to Castillo San Felipe de Morro. 10/10 would visit again.
Literally the definition of "your favorite street corner smoothie shop" here. Bien Papayas was two short blocks from the AirBnB I was staying at with my sister and her family. They offer a spacious, colorful interior with some tables, music, merch (!!) and vibes! Throughout the week as we were there, someone was painting a wall with (you guessed it) papayas! A beautiful artistic display. I wonder if it's complete now? Anywho, they have quite a few delightful flavors of smoothie, and while the specific names slip my mind, I had some cool ones such as one with nutella and banana, and another with strawberry and oats! Food itself is also an option -- you can get a waffle or bagel with an array of additions such as guava and peanut butter (DELICIOUS combination), which was awesome! Word of advice -- if you go for the bagel, you will still be hungry. The waffle cost the exact same thing, and I admit it was quite filling. If you're not hungry, they have jewelry and art for sale! There were some beautiful prints to choose from, and so many lovely gifts you can get for friends, family and significant others! Another thing I loved is that the staff were more than willing to have conversation with any customers. Oh, I think I saw some beer on some shelves too... All in all, great smoothie shop. Stop by if you're near!

Such a cute little jucie shop! We ordered the mango papaya smoothie and it was so good! Great spot to stop for a refreshing drink while exploring Old San Juan.

Very cute, little breakfast spot that serves tasty coffee, acai bowls, and waffles. Staff was soo nice and helpful. All the fruit we got was clearly fresh and juicy! I especially loved all the fresh guava we got. There was a good variety of fruits and we didn't feel like there was anything to improve upon. We left here extremely happy and satisfied. And we will definitely make a stop here when we are in town again. read more
Like other reviews, was dying from the heat, needed a nutrient, and also told myself i wanted açaí on this trip at some point. We saw this place and popped in and i couldn't be happier. We were quick to be served with only 3 others in the place. after us people started flowing in. it felt like a community the way people were greeted. The colorful interior was engaging and felt like a pinterest board. I got the açaí with papaya and chia and that was what i needed. I could've ate 5 of those it was refreshing and sweet. Bien papayas was one of our first stops in San Juan. I had a migraine from the heat so we stopped in to cool off. The owner is one of the SWEETEST human beings to walk the planet. The smoothie that I got was phenomenal! It was fresh, sweet and cooled me off on a crazy hot day. The smoothies and açaí bowls utilize fruits per the seasons so everything is fresh!The ambience is cute with art depicting the area around the shop and the music inside was great! This place knocked our socks off to the point that we had to come back on our last day to say goodbye to the owner and her nephew. 10/10 recommend for a quick pick me up and a genuine human connection read more

Great neighborhood spot for fresh fruit juices/smoothies, breakfast and lunch items. Also have coffee. Made fresh in the kitchen you can see from your table. Alcoholic drinks are also available. Eating area is open, airy and spread out so comfortable and safe. Fun and healthy!!!! read more

Fantastic food! Everything was made fresh in the kitchen. The juice was incredible! I really enjoyed the ginger lemonade, and I could smell them press the juice in the back. Really fantastic service too, the cashier and the cook were really kind to us. read more

Bien Papayas on Bulevar del Valle in San Juan is a great place to stop for quality juice and coffee in a convenient and relaxed atmosphere. I really like what they have available here on their menu and how everything is prepared. I really like the food options here too. Good experience coming here. read more

Mozzarella & guava grilled cheese on sweet bread. Need I say more? This was absolutely delicious, and I am trying to figure out if I have time to stop in one more time before I head home from my work trip this weekend. My Buye Beach smoothie was nice and refreshing (and named after one of my favorite beaches on the island!) definitely check this place out. read more

came to this restaurant on our last day for one last meal in Puerto Rico & it was one of our favorite stops on our 5 day trip. Julie our waitress was absolutely amazing, she makes a KILLER iced coffee, above all the service was quick, food was bomb & music was popping the vibes were absolutely immaculate. next time we're in Puerto Rico we will definitely be back! one of the friendliest establishments I've ever been in. stop here if you're visiting Old San Juan! read more
