I had one of their sandwiches, which was good, but the chips that came with it were disappointing--stale and flavorless. On the bright side, the melon refresher was absolutely delicious and very refreshing, and the pancakes with fruit were also pretty good. Overall, it was a solid spot for a quick breakfast, but I'm not sure it stood out enough for me to go back.

You can tell people come here for the coffee, not just to pass through. It leans more intentional and coffee-focused rather than just aesthetic--which I appreciated. FOOD / DRINKS Coquito Frap (Recommend) When in Puerto Rico, Coquito. Creamy, coconut-forward, and lightly spiced--like a frozen coquito with a coffee twist. Sweet, smooth, and definitely more of a dessert drink than a regular latte. CUSTOMER SERVICE Friendly and efficient. Even with a crowd, things moved quickly. TL;DR OVERALL 4.5 Stars. Solid spot. Great drink options at a reasonable price. They know what they're doing. Whether you're a coffee person or just need a reset, this place delivers. The coffee is absolutely excellent - velvety smooth, rich, and delicious. I could easily drink more than one cup. I had a latte, and my husband had a macchiato, and both were great. They have a cute little outdoor atrium seating area, but we preferred indoors where all the comfy pillow seating was. Just a note - they don't offer decaf - but for regular coffee drinkers, it's a must-visit. Such a gem in Old San Juan!

This spot is right on the main ave in Isla Verde near the hotels right on the beach. TJ was a super nice guy, and walked us through what was on the menu. He was super friendly & helpful. We got 2 iced coffees, they come in bags, almost like IV looking bags. We got 2 iced coffees, the Dulce de Leche & Tres leche. Both were awesome & had strong & great flavor. We ordered three of their frozen chocolate drinks, and every single one was absolutely delicious. Thankfully, it wasn't busy when we stopped by, so it was the perfect place to cool off and take a break from the heat. The café had a modern, inviting atmosphere, and the staff was friendly and welcoming. I asked if one of the frozen drinks could be split for the kids, and although they didn't split it for us, they happily gave us two extra cups so we could divide it ourselves. It was a simple gesture that we really appreciated. The frozen chocolate drink was rich, creamy, refreshing, and perfectly chocolatey without being overly sweet. Even the whipped cream was delicious, especially with the chocolate pieces on top. Everyone in our group loved it, and it quickly became our favorite sweet treat of the trip. I've bought them at the grocery store for my mother over the years when I couldn't find Menier. I was hoping to see some unique desserts at Chocobar Cortés. Let's just say that the chocobar at this location was not what I was expecting. It's like an express version of their original one in Old San Juan. This is located in the lobby of the Condado Palm Hotel. There are 2 entrances. Don't make the same mistake we did by trying to access at street level. That door is locked. You'll need to enter through the hotel lobby. The service is very slow here. There was only one other person there. We ordered a box of 6 chocolates and payed for it. I'm guessing he was making a drink for the other guest because he asked us to wait a few minutes. It ended up being longer so he told his colleague (who just came back from a break) to make up the chocolate box for us. Unfortunately, it took even longer as this other guy was more interested in the 2 young girls who just walked in. The chocolate bonbons were good, but nothing unique. It's the same artisan chocolates that you see everywhere for the same high price. Perhaps this location is better for their specialty cocktails in the evening time. I was looking forward to trying the choco-latte at some point. I doubt there will be a next time.
