I heard that this store opened up on Black Friday, and I never got to stop in and check it out. I…read morewas amazed with the large amount of dog food they had, with bigger bags as well. They had a lot more dog items than any other item it seemed. There was rows and rows of dog toys, food, beds, accessories, etc. We went to the cat section after and there wasn't as many food options yet, but we saw a lot of the big named popular cat food anyway. We even found our brand that we use. The best part was walking over to the wet food. We found Tiki Cat wet food - hardest cat wet food to find anywhere. No one has it. We have checked the major pet stores and other stores we shop at as well. You can only buy it online and it is rated as one of the healthiest by multiple vets. We decided to buy the two different options to try it out and see if our cats love it. They had quite a few cat toys, and some really cheap options. Across from the food, near the register, we saw rice and mice for sale, super cheap. They were adorable. Right above them, they had cute birds. These are the only live animals they have in store - no dog/cat adoption. I really enjoyed two other sections of the store. The fish area surprised me with LED tanks or Glow tanks - something my little sister would love. Quite a few of them came with a set that included rocks and a few decorations, along with a filter. It makes it easier to have everything you need, and with different designs. I loved the rocks they had as well. Another section was the bird feeder area. They had really pretty bird feeders and large bags of different bird food. They also had tiny little hanging food items or discs that were super cheap. We saw gourmet food items for critters, including birds. I am excited to buy a few in the spring. I was amazed to see wildlife food, like corn, for deers. I did not expect to see it. The employees at the register are very friendly, and were happy to hear I was excited about the wet food options. I am hoping they will bring in different kinds in the future! Looking forward to stopping by in the future.

Creekside used to be a wonderful vet for us. Unfortunately, after the change in ownership and…read morelocation, my experiences have been very different. I've had several situations that made me uncomfortable and ultimately led me to seek care elsewhere. For example, during one visit a vet strongly promoted a product while mentioning their student loan burden. After a surgery, a stitch was left in place; when I brought it up, the way the situation was addressed left me feeling blamed rather than supported. I've also felt pressured toward additional procedures that didn't seem medically necessary for my pet at the time. Lastly, I noticed a big change in my dog's behavior during our visits. She would begin shaking the moment we pulled into the Creekside parking lot. She has never reacted this way at any other vet or location. She's normally a very confident, relaxed dog, so seeing her shake like that was heartbreaking. It was another sign to me that this wasn't the right environment for her. I understand that every clinic has its own approach, but based on my experiences, Creekside is not for me.

I've had animals my whole life and been to many different vets, and I have never seen more compassionate staff than the ones here. All staff have been so kind - front desk, vets, even the custodian? I'm not sure his title but one of the staff even cleaned our kennel out after our cat peed in it. He pees every time he goes in it out of stress and never has an office offered to clean it for us. It helped greatly because I didn't have to do it when I got home! We have had (unfortunately) 4 trips here already in just a few short months and seen 3 different vets and they have all been amazing. I am glad we tried them out and happy to have found them so close to home!

When does one take their loved fur family member to the vet? If it's me, it's most likely when…read moresomething is wrong. Parkway saw my 2yo kitty, Bootsie, in 2025 when she was licking her fur off. After an exam & meds, I found out it was an allergic reaction to what I used to sprinkle on carpet. Parkway was visited in 2018 when we had to make the most difficult decision to put our 11/12yo kitty, Nala, to sleep. She'd been on arthritis meds for about a year, due to hip dysplaysia, & thyroid meds for a few months. We believe she'd had a stroke & gone blind. Her coat was different. She was bumping into walls & furniture & various other symptoms. Recently, in 2026, another visit occured when I had to put my late husband's cat, the most loving cat, our Miggy-boy down. He'd lost weight very quickly, quit eating, was vomiting when he would eat his lickable treat, was listless & hiding a lot. This was most difficult for me because losing him was like losing another piece of my hubby. When my hubby was in the hopital he would video call just to tell Miggy that, "Daddy loves you." For his 11.5yrs with us, Miggy would crawl up on my chest and bump my chin to give him kisses on his head. Oh, how Miggy loved kisses! Parkway was nothing but compassionate in both instances of putting our beloved cats down! The med tech's & Doctor's were empathetic, full of tenderness, & sympathy. They allowed as much time as we needed to say good-bye through tears & sobs. We chose to take our fur babies home afterward and they supplied us with a large box so, we didn't have the discomfort of holding them after they'd passed. There's a special room at Parkway to proceed with the inevitable. They have a jar of chocolate kisses with a sign that says something like, "No dog should not ever taste the joy of chocolate." They offer group cremation, single cremation, urns & clay paw prints. At the last minute, I decided I wanted Miggy's paw print and they explained they'd have to take him to Troy and I'd have to come back the next day to get him. I couldn't mentally handle that so, they gave me inked paw prints I could frame. I highly recommend this veterinary clinic for your pets!! And, if you need to have that fateful appointment, I'd recommend them even more.

I left feeling frustrated because it seemed that the conversation centered around money instead of helping my pet. Rather than focusing on providing treatment and not gossiping on the other side of the door while waiting 45 minutes into my appointment or offering compassionate care, the emphasis was on the racking up financial cost. It felt as though my pet came second to the office's bottom line. GREEDINESS As a loving pet owner, there is nothing worse than feeling helpless while your animal needs care and you're made to feel like a wallet instead of someone seeking help. Compassion, empathy, and a genuine desire to treat animals should always come before financial gain. Unfortunately, I did not feel those values were reflected during my visit. I left disappointed, financially drained, and with the impression that this practice cares more about collecting payment than caring for the patients entrusted to them.
