Upon entering Dr. Vogels office, one can see immediately what kind of a doctor he and his wife are…read more Literally every square inch of the walls and plexiglass partitions are covered with "DON'T DO THIS" and "DON'T DO THAT". Threats everywhere. I walked in for neuralgia issues on my face, massive scabs covering most of my face, and severe pain. The first question? "Have you tried a TENS unit on your face and head?" um..."where would I attach the pads? The pads won't stick to the scabs nor the hair..." These insipid, irrelevant questions were asked AFTER we'd sat in the waiting room for two hours. Vogel is always overbooked, and his waiting room can't hold everyone. It smells very bad, like it's never been cleaned. Butt sweat and foot odor occupy the room like a pall of pollution. Vogel's arrogance supercedes his knowledge by a fair amount. He put me on questionable meds, and when I questioned them, he lost his temper and practically threw me out of the room. I explained the meds were causing prostate issues and he claimed that was "impossible." He unnecessarily referred me to a urologist who barely did anything except hit us with a large bill. His response to my issue? "When you stop that med, the issue will go away. I cannot speak poorly of another doctor, but I'll tell you you're correct and he's wrong." Vogel on the other hand, trashed the urologist. He insisted the medication wasn't causing the secondary problem, and told me to get used to the med, because "You'll likely be on this for the rest of your life." (I've been off it for three months now, no issues). His office claimed one day, that they'd called me to move my appointment. We showed up on time and were told they'd called. I had received no call, and the call log on my cell proved it. His office essentially called me a liar, and indicated MY PHONE call logs were wrong. Vogel made some smart-ass comment about "if you'd answer your phone, you'd know what time to show up." He also was dishonest from the jump about the meds. I'd had enough of his Swiss-German BS arrogance and narcissism, so looked for another doctor. Meanwhile, his office called and said they again had to move my upcoming appointment. They actually reached my phone, but the date they left had occurred three days previously. We called several times, but were unable to secure an appointment after they canceled one. Turns out, Vogel had "fired us" as patients, because of my complaint about the two hour wait times, and the obnoxiousness of the staff. Vogal may have received the title of "DOCTOR," but he's closer to Dr. Suess in ability, and closer to Dr. NO in terms of human decency. BTW, my urology issues cleared as soon as i stopped the questionable medication Vogel put me on. I did not need to continue the medication, and I'm now entirely medication-free, something Vogel insisted several times, that I could not do. This guy is not trustworthy in my opinion. In my opinion, he belongs in Eastern Europe, where bedside manner, talent, and human decency matter less than here in America. My first interaction with Health4Life was with the Office Administrator, Kathryn . She instantly made us feel at ease and comfortable with our decision to switch everything over to this doctor. She was able to answer all of our questions with confidence and explained how their services are offered. She really sold us and was able to get me to sign up for the concierge service and it was the best decision I've made regarding my health. After speaking with Kathryn , I scheduled my appointment with Dr. Alfreda at the Henderson office. Stepping into their office isn't like a normal doctors facility--both locations are beautifully designed with a level of class that you aren't expecting but you quickly feel comfortable and at home. Dr. Alfreda is the first doctor in my adult life that I can have an appointment with and feel completely normal. He speaks to you as a human being, as a close friend or family member and you can tell that he cares about you. He's not a typical Doctor--he explains everything clearly and in everyday terms. He takes time to answer your questions and is able to offer a variety of solutions for the medical issue you're dealing with. From my first appointment until now, two years later, he hasn't changed one bit and he's continued to be the most amazing Doctor I've ever had. He truly cares and you'll be able to see this from the first time meeting with him. His staff--Ashley, Tiffany, Michelle and the others have been just as amazing as Dr. Alfreda and Kathryn. I've had some issues with traveling for work and needing their help and they've always come through to assist me. The last few weeks I've been very sick and Ashley and Michelle have made sure that I've had the things I need and have made sure that I'm okay. Katherine has clearly taken her time to make the hiring decisions for this office and it's evident. There has been two or three times that we've had a breakdown in communication but it's always been quickly resolved. I can't say enough about Health4Life, Dr. Alfreda, Kathryn and their entire team. I have no plans to leave his office because of the excellent care and service I get on each and every visit. Even when I haven't been the best patient or I've had to rush things because of schedule changes or things happen outside of my control with my work travel, they've not treated me any different. Trust me, if you're looking for a new healthcare provider, please give Katherine the opportunity to talk to you about the ways they can assist you. When I arrived at the office things seemed promising Dr. Nagy although intense seemed to know what he's talking about. He prescribed me medication, Scheduled my next appointment and sent me on my way. Dr. Nagy's office however canceled two my appointments for one reason or another and then when I got back from vacation I tried to get another appointment and he happened to be out of town again. Don't get me wrong his office did refill my medication twice, but refilling medication over the telephone is not treating someone who is in pain. I fired dr. Nagy as my neurologist last month and got referred to a new office in Las Vegas, Nevada Headache Specialists. Nevada Headache Specialist is an outstanding Practice, the physician there is wonderful and he actually cares about what you're saying. I was surprised that he cared so much about my condition, not only was his office dimly lit because people with migraines tend to get aggravated by Light, but the office is designed in such a way that you're comfortable the entire time. They also have a separate treatment room for acute care, so people like myself who feel like they're being shunned and not wanted at an urgent care or hospital emergency department can go to Nevada Headache Specialists and get the acute treatment they need, be it a lot a narcotic painkiller or some other acute pain relieving option. Stay away from Nevada Headache Institute unless you want to be abandoned by your physician and feel just as bad at their office as the local emergency department makes you feel and the hospital.

She was extremely condescending and rude to us, taking every opportunity to tell us how dumb and ignorant we were (even when we were very informed, having researched the topic in question). She also seemed to take every opportunity to tell us how smart she was, how much experience she had, whom she knew in local hospitals, etc. She wanted to treat and order tests for my husband solely based on her interpretation of his labs, without any questions about his symptoms or history. We had to really fight and talk over her to get her to even register some very significant, relevant info from his patient history. Even then, she wanted him to do some very expensive tests we would have had to pay for out-of-pocket and which would have involved lots of time and hardship and unnecessary procedures, when he had no symptoms to indicate these tests were needed (just the lab results, which could have meant many different things). She also missed the condition that my husband actually had. When a lab test came back abnormal that went along with and supported what his symptoms and patient history had caused some concern about, she didn't contact him about it or make any mention of it. He had to take the result to a different doctor who ordered him the medication (Lactulose) and testing that the lab result suggested were necessary, and it did help him. It was a really negative experience. I have debated whether to share becuase I don't want to put negativity into the world, but I thought it might help others to share our honest experience. It was such a negative jarring experience and she was so rude to me -- ruder than anyone has been for maybe 10 years -- that I thought sharing might help others to avoid the negative experience we had, which ended up being expensive and emotionally difficult while we were already going through a lot trying to cope with and confirm his diagnosis. She might be a good doctor for some, and she is certainly very knowledgeable, but we had a very bad experience.
