And then when he tried to get an itemized receipt, the agent over the phone refused to provide it for him stating he has to stop by the clinic because they don't do it over the phone. Which is very inconvenient having to take time off from work to drive extremely far for his receipt. All I'm hoping is that when we do go to the front desk, they will be able to provide his itemized bill properly right then and there, because otherwise, this would be extremely unprofessional.

It often took several days to receive a call back, and I had to track down my own results -- something no patient should have to do. A "concierge" experience should mean better access and communication, not less. There are plenty of doctors in this city offering concierge care, but before asking patients to pay more, the basics of follow-up, communication, and respect for patients' time should already be in place.
