I was seen at 2:42 which was frustrating, but I could hear her talking to a male patient in the other room (the patient had a booming voice so I could hear him through the walls) so I can let it slide. Dr. Pingol was really friendly. She went over my blood work and said everything was perfect. She asked me about my skin (which the dermatologist I saw was too busy to check out) and said she could tell I was stressed and not sleeping enough which was why my skin was out of whack. Both of those guesses were true! She told me to stay away from anything with estrogen & to eat more greens. As somebody who is leery about taking so much as an aspirin, I appreciated that she wasn't suggesting pharmaceuticals but real food, sleep & relaxation. I had a pap while I was there and I liked she wasn't like other ob/gyn doctors who want to talk about boyfriends and sex lives in a gossipy way like they're your friend while they work on you. I liked that she didn't ask me if I wanted bc and I didn't need to explain that I was single because she was strictly about the procedure. My appointment was nearly an hour and I liked that she took the time to listen to my concerns and explain my (completely perfect) test results. I'd definitely see her again.

And then when he tried to get an itemized receipt, the agent over the phone refused to provide it for him stating he has to stop by the clinic because they don't do it over the phone. Which is very inconvenient having to take time off from work to drive extremely far for his receipt. There are plenty of doctors in this city offering concierge care, but before asking patients to pay more, the basics of follow-up, communication, and respect for patients' time should already be in place. As a patient for 18 months, I have found this office to be run efficiently and mindful of not wasting patients time. Dr. Chuang has her team manage its appointments calendar so that patients are seen at the time scheduled, or no more than + or minus 15 minutes. As someone who previously saw doctors at Southwest Medical Group and waited up to 90 minutes after my scheduled appointment, Dr Chuang gives her clients ample opportunity to identify issues. The team starts its patient visit with an intake interview by a nurse or aide who record the patient's vital statistics, confirms current/new medications and asks about reasons for visit, etc. Following the intake interview, the patients moves to one of the examination rooms, where Dr. Chuang or her Physicians Assistant , Abigail, queries the patient about their health and performs customary checks of health through examinations where necessary. If the Physician Assistant (PA) conducts the initial exam and the patient's needs are met, the PA records the steps taken and then briefly reviews the case with Dr. Chuang. In my visits, I have always seen Dr. Chuang following the PA, though in some cases, I was actually surprised because the PA had addressed my needs through the exam and provision of a prescription or renewal as the case may be. I have received inoculations, had my blood tests taken at the office or referrals promptly made as needed. In my experience where many medical offices seem like being processed through a factory, Dr Chuang and her team are professional, courteous and very responsive. So I wait a week and callback after being sent from Center Wealth, to Canoe then back to Center Wealth I get an appt.
