This is my second time at this salon and it's my favorite beauty salon. Liz dyed my hair and cut it and she did a phenomenal job she's so talented, kind, and ambitious. Kaylee washed and dried my hair and she's awesome too. I also got my eyebrows waxed and they turned out amazing. I felt very welcomed and they all gave me great service. Had been going to this salon for years, but will absolutely not be going back. Booked an appt with a specific hair dresser, but felt like I was in an assembly line with how many people she was working on at the same time. Went in for a blonde balayage, but came out with uneven color and what looked like grown out roots. After reaching out to hair dresser about my concerns, she acted like she didn't see anything wrong with how my hair came out when she should know since she's a "professional". She was just super snotty and rude about the whole situation. I went here for a pedicure last week because my boyfriend gave me a gift certificate. The woman said she had been doing nails for over 20 years, but honestly I think I could done a better job. She didn't scrub the heels or bottom of the feet. Their normal "express" pedicures cost $25 which basically is just to cover painting the nails. OR you can upgrade for another $40 for a "Spa" pedicure to get your foot/heels scrubbed. My French tips are already peeling off and they were crooked from the beginning. Fortunately, I didn't pay for the service, but now I know not to come back. I'm sticking to Serenity Nails. read more

We have been coming to Beautiful From Head 2 Toe for 4 years now. Debbie and her team have always been amazing and my husband and I always laugh our heads off when we are there! Such a positive environment. Oh yeah, and best hair cuts anywhere. We drive 45 miles to come here because no one else cuts hair like Debbie does Just wrapped up another appointment and lovin' my cut! Thank you for the super friendly service, Amanda. Amanda did my spray tan last week, and she was so nice to me. I have had babies and am not a huge fan of my current body and was really insecure and nervous about getting undressed in front of a stranger, but she made me feel at ease. She was professional and friendly. I really appreciate it. You might want to check your website (if anyone from the salon reads this), the website says there is a special on spray tan for $35, but I was told over the phone it is $45. I didn't want to say anything because I was a super last minute appointment. I felt bad for not being able to leave Amanda a tip from paying with my debit card too. I have had nothing less than excellent service and work every time i have come to this salon! I started coming to this salon after a very expensive salon had turned my blonde hair "orange" and made it very dry. The stylist Amanda has been great from the start and she made my hair the perfect "white" blonde i was looking for without making it one solid color, her highlights are amazing. She has been great with recommending products to bring life and moisture back to my hair as well. The salon as a whole is like a family and i always feel very welcomed and accepted as part of their family. I have not tried the other spa services yet but i have heard lots of great reviews from friends and have seen the manicures and pedicures which look amazing! As far as pricing goes they have been awesome, being a blonde is expensive and i was used to paying upwards of $300 for a cut and full highlight. At beautiful from head to toe i get much better work at a much lower price and i still get the great feel of a high end salon. I will definitely be a customer of this salon and spa for a long time and i look forward to exploring everything they have to offer! read more

I just got a haircut from Debbie who specializes in cutting curly hair. If you have straight hair it might not seem like there's any difference in how you'd cut curly hair and straight hair, but if you have had your curly hair butchered by many a haircut, you know. This cut is done to dry hair, which is really the only way you can or should cut curly hair, and the vast majority of my cuts have been typical wet hair cuts. I liked the overall look style, and I didn't give Debbie a lot of direction or inspiration ("like short, but not like too short, like at least 3 inches shorter, but maybe less") and she was able to figure out a good cut, not just by going for it, but by asking clarifying questions throughout as I got to see the way my cut was taking shape. Also, while I was getting my haircut I was simultaneously getting a much-needed lesson in curly hair maintenance from Debbie and her assistant. (I've only recently embraced not straightening my curly hair.) She also shared a book with me that she had about curly hair which was really informative. Why has it never occurred to me to read a book about curly hair, I do not know. Debbie was definitely pushing the products that they used on my hair, and I ended up buying one. They were really pricey (for me at least) and I definitely couldn't afford all the recommended ones. I'll have to see if they are all vital to recreating the look that I left the salon with. However she also gave me the info for the book, and that had lots of diy hair product recipes, which would be a cheaper alternative. You should know: this cut combined with the love and attention given to your curly hair takes a lot of time. (Mine was a little over two hours.) The girl who booked the appointment for me didn't mention that, which would have been good to know. She didn't tell me to come with hair dry/no product, but fortunately I asked about that and she said that was important. And when I arrived I was in their reservation book as being just a regular haircut (which I assume would be a shorter block of time), but Debbie didn't mind, didn't rush to get onto another client. So I'm pretty stoked with my cut, but I'll have to wait and see if I can recreate at home what she has done so expertly in the salon. read more

Came here for my nails, so I can't speak to how they are with hair. Everyone was really friendly, and the space is cute. I was the first appointment but still had to wait a bit, I guess because they had to get ready for the day. Sadly, not 48 hours later the polish on one of my toenails came completely off and the gel polish on one of my hands began to chip. I've never had my gel chip before, so... I dunno. I also felt really restricted by the color choices. An okay place but I'm not 100% wowed. read more

I have spiral curls that are fine and thick. Nobody, in my many years of getting my hair cut, has ever given my curly locks a proper cut. I just happened to call Beautiful From Head 2 Toe and asked if they had a stylist that KNOWS how to cut curly hair. Yes we do, they said, yeah right heard that before, but they really do!! Debbie (who cuts my hair) has been through schooling for curly hair and attends conferences in regards to curly hair. It's called the Curly Girl Method, and Debbie has it perfected! Speaking of Debbie she is wonderful. Very easy to talk to and a fun person all around. Anyone with curly hair must go and if they can do great cuts with curly hair, I have no doubt they can do a master piece with other hair types. read more

I had a great experience here today! Christy removed my acrylic nails that were done very poorly at another salon. She took great care to minimize damage when removing them and soaked them off. My nails look beautiful now with a natural manicure. She is meticulous, everything was clean and she did not use any re-used files...all brand new. I will go back to see Christy again because I am very happy and I was impressed with her professionalism! This salon has great ambiance with a lovely ceiling fan moving the air about and pretty crepe myrtle trees outside the window. Everyone is very friendly and they made sure I had something to drink. She does a great job shaping my hair, and always explains how to get similar results at home. The salon is small, but welcoming, and well maintained. The pedis are to die for. The massage I got was definitely the best I've ever had. I've been to numerous places in Livermore for massages, even Napa, and San Francisco but BFH2T is number 1!!! I first met "Red" Tori (there's two Tori's in the shop) on a suggestion from a friend. I was in dire need of a haircut, and had not used salon's before, haircuts were done at home by family or friends. We've moved, life happens and I hadn't had a haircut in too long. I am nervous about salons because I have been burned before (expensive cut & no likey). The place is a little hidden (looks like the rest of the homes near it in the downtown area), but navigation took me right there. As soon as I stepped in, Red Tori greeted me, and we struck up an immediate rapport. She listened to all my thoughts and ideas, she showed me hers, I felt so safe in her hands (within like 10 minutes!) I loved her vision and I told her to go for it. I walked out supremely happy with my cut & style (so was the BF BTW! score!), the service, the price and absolutely with Red Tori. My next appointment is already booked! P.S. I'm writing this review for a friend because she is too, nice to "out" this owner. Appointment scheduled for 3:15, arrived on time. DB in a flurry, greets at the front door, says she's running about 15 minutes late and to go grab a coffee. Immediately, I felt brushed off. We wait. 20 minutes later, DB comes out to tell my friend, that she is not on her calendar, (despite confirmation that morning). And wait, 20 minutes MORE, later, she insists that she's almost done with other client. But she's put color on other client, which means she has to interrupt my friend's appointment, to rinse the color out. I was pissed FOR my friend. It was clear that DB double booked. This would not have been a problem if DB had admitted the mistake the minute we set foot in the salon. Perhaps offer a FREE drink, or reduced price for re-booking at another time. But each time she spoke to my friend, she LIED. We left with no hair cut and super sour feeling about that salon. It is my understanding that they charge $110 for a cut. A high price for low service. read more

I really enjoyed my appointment with her. Disappointed that I won't be able to come back in for awhile but I highly recommend it to anyone in the area! There is a special salon in Livermore and I am grateful to find it! My service yesterday (11/6/09) was with Lisa Marie, one word to describe my experience... awesome. And I save that word for exceptional experiences. Here is my review: I was looking for help and guidance concerning my face/skin. I did an internet search and found this salon. After viewing their website, I noted they offered a service (skin consultation with Lisa Marie) that I was interested in. I then searched yelp for reviews. The feedback was so positive, I decided to give them a try. The initial phone call was impressive and very accommodating. I was pleasantly surprised to receive a call from Lisa Marie the evening before my appointment to confirm, she was genuinely nice and answered all my questions about getting ready for my consultation. When I arrived, I was greeted warmly and within minutes, Lisa Marie met me and my appointment began. I was looking for someone with the expertise to determine what my skin needed and the steps to take to preserve and protect as I age. I just recently turned 46 and was struggling with how to handle/treat the lines/wrinkles on my face. I have purchased a lot of products to exfoliate, moisturize, cover up, peel off, etc., but have never found the results I wanted. After about 3 minutes with Lisa Marie, you will be in the presence of someone who really knows skin. Equally impressive, she loves it, and she loved helping me learn how to properly take the steps to achieve the results I was looking for. When you meet her, you'll know what I mean. Lisa Marie is talented, no doubt about it, she is also very positive and genuine, an excellent combination. After my consultation, Lisa Marie recommended microderm abrasion and re-hydrating (not moisturizing, I learned there is a difference!) due to my specific skin type. During my treatment she explained each step and I felt very confidant in her recommendations. Lisa Marie also recommended I complete a series of treatment (smooth fine lines and wrinkles, acne issues, skin hydration) for a short time to get my skin in optimal condition including purchasing appropriate products. Her main goal is to teach me how to take care of my skin. The results; After the treatment yesterday my skin looked beautiful, smooth, and ready to go out and about. This morning I used my new products, and my skin feels and looks great. I have had facials over the years, purchased skin care products, and did as much as I could to help my skin but what a difference to have someone who really knows skin, can detail the appropriate products, and then has a goal to teach you the way the do it. I learned more about my skin in 1 hour with Lisa Marie than I have in countless hours getting facials. Awesome, it's a big word. When I look at my skin, that's what I think. I found Debbie on the Deva website. I could not be more pleased. My baby had a great first experience and Debbie made her hair beautiful. She made it fun and was very attentive. I LOVE this salon. I have been highlighting my hair for years and years and years, (it is very blonde). I moved from out of state about a year and a half ago. Of course, I had "my lady" back home who I ALWAYS went to for my hair. Once I moved I had to find someone new. I went to about 3 or 4 different salons before finding Beautiful From Head 2 Toe. Needless to say, the first 3 or 4 were AWFUL! Whether it was prices, the lady doing my hair being late, or the ORANGE I found in my hair once I got home. I was searching online for yet another place to go when I came across this salon. I called to make an appointment, I can't remember who answered the phone, but she discussed my current hair, in detail, to determine who she would schedule my appointment with. We came to the conclusion my appointment would be with Bri. She also got me in within a decent amount of time, (which was great because I had some orange and yellow streaks going on). Upon arriving, I immediately fell in love with the atmosphere. The place was well kept, and stylish. The girls were upbeat and happy. You could tell they love what they do, which gives you a good feeling. I sat down with Bri and she was quite disturbed at the previous highlight job I received. She promised to make it better, AND SHE DID! I instantly fell in love. I've always had long hair, and eventually grew so confident in her I let her chop it off! (I wanted to do it of course) She did an "A-Line" (I think that's what it is called) hair cut. The cut was fantastic, exactly what I wanted. Unfortunately I quickly learned I do NOT like short hair and we are currently in the process of growing it out : ) Point being though, she's done everything I've wanted and has done it well. I joke with her that we've recently shared our year anniversary together, and have many more to come! I've also recommended a coworker to Bri, who had her first appointment yesterday. Guess what... The first thing I noticed when i walked in was how friendly everyone was. Even sitting there reading some magazine about womens hair (so I didnt look awkward as a guy) I was asked numerous times if I needed anything. I think I learned more about women in the 15 min waiting my turn than the last 43 yrs lol. When it was my turn, Debbie took the time to listen to how I wanted my hair cut. I am in my mid 40's and I have very curly hair and have never found anyone who could cut it correct, that was until I met Debbie and the Ladies at this Salon. From the very first visit I was hooked. I was amazed at how my hair looked after using the Deva Curl products and the cut was awesome. I travel about an hour in traffic just to come here and its completely worth it. I think what really puts this place over the top is the skills these wonderful ladies have and how they make you feel so comfortable being their. I got a text message (10 mins before my appointment) from the ower that they cannot keep my appointment due to a conflict in her schedule. I got my hair done today at the Brentwood location by Samantha and she did an AMAZING job. I showed her a picture of something along the lines that I wanted and she showed me color samples of hair to figure out the exact shade I wanted and it turned out awesome.
