Earline Randolph has been my mother's instructor for many years. I took a gyrokinesis class with her and loved it!!! She is a gentle, kind, and a caring person. She is very attentive and meets all your needs, especially if you have had surgery. Her studio is serene and so clean. The space quiet and you can concentrate, since it is free of distraction. I have been a client of Earline Randolph for over a decade. I practice pilates and gyrotonic with Ms. Randolph who is classically trained in pilates and is fully certified in gyrotonic and gyrokinesis. I can say with no reservation that Ms. Randolph is the best instructor in Bergen County and her attention to detail and her understanding of the body has kept me safe and incredibly strong. She is dedicated to her craft and with over two decades of experience in working with clients, has kept me safe from injury. I play tennis and the combination of both practices have allowed me to continue to play for many years with no injuries. Entering her private studio overlooking nature is a sanctuary! it is the perfect place to leave all the daily stresses outside and engulf oneself in the peacefulness and positive energy the studio releases. Her spa inspired background music and the quietness of the surrounding area allow for an experience of complete focus on my practice with no distractions. I am completely grateful to Ms. Randolph's commitment and expertise in keeping me strong, challenging me to the next level, and in her flexibility to adapt the practice to how my body is feeling at the moment. I highly recommend that anyone that is serious about his/her pilates or gyrotonic practice, consult with Ms. Randolph and see for yourself the possibilities. WORSE THAN THE MOLD IS THE COLD in Beyond Movement / Earline Randolph: I did not realize how harmful it is to do pilates in a room temperature below 70 degrees, until I suffered injury. Earline Randolph is a classical pilates teacher. I learned a lot from her. I am no longer working with her though because her studio is reeking with mold. It is toxic and even though I recommended a mold specialist and explained the harmful effects of mold toxicity, which she verified from many sources Earline claims she will some day clear the mold out. Meanwhile, it has toxic effects that we may not be aware of. I have observed the wood porch at the walkway and the entrance of her studio turning greener each week from the spread and growth of the toxic mold. So I knew my days had to be numbered there. The other issue I have is that her studio has no heating system other than a space heater, which she did not turn on until just before my session. I found that working out in such a cold environment stressed my body causing me physical injury and pain that I am still recovering from The healthiest way to do pilates is to be warmed up when beginning a work out. But that is impossible when the room temperature is in the low 60's as it is in her studio. The last session I had scheduled with her in February 2015, the room thermometer read 64 degrees after the heat had been on for a little while. In the months I worked with her, I had asked her many times to let me know BEFORE a session when it is not going to be heated. So this was not the first time that I had to leave without my workout. In February, I had arrived on time and changed into my workout gear and Earline did not inform me that she had not turned on the space heater until moments before I had arrived. When I realized how cold it was, she blamed her family for not putting up the heater. But I emailed her the next day that it is her responsibility to make the studio one that promotes health rather than harming the person being trained, as would working out in such a cold room. She admits I am correct but does nothing about it. She has a room next to that with gyro and even though she says it is warmer, it is also freezing, for that is not heated, either. There is no wall between the back room and the freezing studio. If cold and/or mold do not bother you, then you may love working with Earline. She is a good trainer. But beware because while she professes so often that she cares a lot about the environment in which her clients work with her, and about their well being during a session, she does not act on that. She is all talk and she needs to be more up front about the environment of her studio so that one who works out there can decide if they want to take the health risk. It does look attractive but is a huge health risk. Earline sent me a letter explaining that she "cannot maintain a room temperature that allows me the safety to exercise and that had hoped the other room would be acceptable but it is not." She calls it my "unique health concerns" but how unique is it to need a room that is above 65 degrees room temperature when any knowlegible person can tell you it is dangerous to work out in a room below 70 degrees and ideal is 72 degrees. Clearly she knows about the mold also ( I have sent her professionals who remediate mold that but it is her choice to leave it grow.) and she is very aware of the lack of any heating system other than a space heater. So working in her studio is a huge health risk. She does nothing to fix it. And yet, continues to see clients there, putting them at risk as she did me. I wanted to continue work with her because I find the Classical Pilates of great benefit. Once she sent me the letter saying that she cannot meet what she claims is my "unique" need for a reasonable room temperature, I have found other teachers close by who were trained in the Classical Pilates. The difference for me working out in a reasonably heated, mold free environment helps me to work out better without the stress of fighting the malevolent environment of the Beyond Movement studio. This is a clear case of Buyer Beware for Earline Randolph is not up front about the danger of working out in her studio. read more

I m a senior citizen and I ave been working with Earline Randolph at Beyond Movement Studio for 10 years. Earline's professionalism and her knowledge of Pilates, Gyrotonics and Gyrokenis and most important her attention to each of her clients needs and abilities have helped me to be a strong and vibrant older woman. Everybody has their own opinion, but I get a massage at this studio once a month and from the moment I walk in the door - the space fills me with calm and tranquility and I truly relax. In fact, I feel like the space is a gift - so nicely decorated for a peaceful experience. I have been in lots of places for both pilates and massages and this is by far the best private space for a relaxing experience. The anti-room is beautiful and all seasons can be enjoyed by the glass windows. When the sun shines in - it is a wonderful feeling. The room where I receive the massage is done with care and concern for privacy and beauty. I couldn't express how nice this place is and how wonderful I feel when I go to it. Of course, it is no small fact, that my massage therapist, affectionately known as "Magic Hands" by myself and my friends is fabulous - but both of us really enjoy the wonderful space we are in.
