I have been coming here for the past two years and could not be more thankful to my beautiful instructor Carol Berlin. Her patients, love, help, passion and devotion to her students is incredible. I have found so much in this peaceful studio. Not only have I developed in yoga but I have become a stronger and better person. This place is truly a golden treasure and whoever is looking to learn yoga and help themselves, this is the place. I went on a monday afternoon when there were no classes in session and was greeted by a warm receptionist I believe was named Alexandria. She was very nice and friendly and explained all the procedures for the session. The facility was beautiful and well kept. I was glad that I went and will consider going again even though the facility is a way from my home. I hope to participate in some yoga classes before my next session. I first saw an ad…read morefor a free introductory class at this location which is how I learned of them and then I saw that they also have a location at Penn station. For my introductory class, I signed up for their Core Pilates. It was really difficult to sign up. I had a hard time getting in contact with anyone (it took about 4 attempts). But when I finally did, the sign up process was easy. They had a lot of classes to pick from, including Pilates, Barre and cardio classes. I didn't realize when I signed up that this was a reformer class. I usually do mat Pilates, but there were a few other beginners in the class and the teacher was very patient and nice. The great thing about the reformer machine is that you can turn up or turn down the intensity of the workout according to where you're at. It does take more coordination than I'm used to being on the machine, but it was fun! The teacher helped make adjustments so I could get the maximum benefit, which I appreciated. The Hackensack facility was really nice and big. They had complimentary lockers and towels and the changing room and restroom were both clean. The membership is kind of steep at $279 per month, but they do have discounts for 26 years old and under an 65 years old and over at their other locations.

I was confronted by a male member who appeared to be upset about what was written on my shirt\. Whatever his personal disagreement may have been with the message, I believe I have the right to peacefully wear clothing expressing my views, provided that the message does not violate a legitimate, neutral facility rules. I did not threaten this individual, make threats against anyone, or engage in conduct intended to cause harm\. I also dispute any characterization of my shirt or my expression as "slander\." Slander generally concerns a false spoken statement about another person that causes legally cognizable harm; merely wearing a shirt containing an opinion, political statement, or other expression is not automatically slander. More importantly, I am concerned about the broader pattern of what I perceive as interference with my rights. On a prior occasion, I believe a woman interfered with my ability to pray. I now feel that I am being confronted over what I choose to wear and express on my clothing. These incidents have caused me to question whether I am being treated differently because of my religious beliefs, identity, or viewpoint.

I said NO PROBLEM...I was leaving, asked him for my ID back, and he started taking pictures of my ID with his phone... Within 5 months of working with Gil, I reached my goal weight and dropped 45 lbs! On top of that, strength grew tremendously. Went from getting exhausted at the thought of a pull up to doing 10 pull ups in a row with ease. Muscle definition and size has grown quite a bit and clothes fit much better now. Dropped 5 waist sizes on my pants and when from a size L/XL to a S/M. It feels good trying on slim fit clothes and they fit well. I initially bought 10 sessions and has been a regular since then. First, layout is beautiful and fancy (chandelier lights). Second, it's clean (cleaning sprays and sanitizers everywhere). 3rd, all great instructors (BettyAnn, Matthew, Steve, Nancy and Natalia. There was 1 that was a challenge but she's gone now). It's semi-private, maximum of 9 but you still get that personal training feel. 4th, awesome owner and her assistant. I can go on and on but the most important is, I feel happy and special after every class! Grateful that I found this studio!

I did have some issues where the paperwork and the specifics of my contract. We're not always honored. For example, when I moved away, they were trying to charge me however, I had to point out to them a couple times that do the distance I was moving away as per my contract I shouldn't owe anything else. Now it would have been ideal if these were things that they were aware of and not things that I had to remind them of. But overall, I had a very positive experience here. I think if they had increased their hours or offered a more varied selection of gym classes, they could really open up anew Market here.
