We had such an amazing experience at the beautiful and welcoming Frisco Birth Center for both births and formed a truly special relationship with Margie that will never be forgotten. Margie is an incredibly kind, gentle, supportive, knowledgeable, and professional midwife who genuinely cares about her clients in a way that is rare in any medical setting. Throughout pregnancy, she promptly answered any questions or concerns that arose, even making herself available between visits as needed, despite her busy schedule. Our older children came with me to prenatal appointments and they adore her as much as we do! She took the time to teach them and let them get involved in finding baby's heartbeat and position, which helped them get so excited to meet their new sibling. Leading up to the birth, we had some unusual findings in one of the blood samples that were run, and she put in extra time and effort to help us find the answers we needed to feel confident in our birth plan. There was also a risk of hemorrhage, but she wisely helped us weigh all of our options before, during, and after the birth so that we could have the safe and beautiful delivery we hoped for. Margie and her assistant midwife, Neta (who is also wonderful), accurately assessed the health of both mom and baby and responded quickly and professionally to any concerns that arose, including a very fast transition and delivery and maternal bleeding. We felt completely safe and empowered throughout the entire process because of Margie's clinical skill and compassionate demeanor. Birth can be unpredictable, and we felt well-informed and supported through every decision. After the birth, her standard of excellence continued, as she made multiple home visits to check on mom and baby and helped empower us make the decisions about his health we were uncertain. My first birth was at a hospital and after doing thorough research, I realized that I deserved better than the care that I had received and knew that I needed a different experience. For my second birth I gave birth at Allen Birthing Center which was fantastic! This third time around, I decided to do several interviews of midwives in the area. I felt an instant connection to Margie and I knew that I wanted to go with her. I was having some financial issues at the time but she allowed me to make a payment plan and get a substantial discount. She really does care about people and want to help in any way possible. If you have formerly received obstetric care, I think you'll find that out-of-hospital midwifery care is a night and day opposite experience. Obstetrics focuses mostly on the baby and is very fear-based. Margie is very holistic in her methods and believes in the woman's body's capability to birth. She knows that the mother's emotional state is just as important as what is going on with her physically. Through our appointments I let her know my goals for my birth, including my desire to birth in an upright position. She made sure that all of my wishes were respected and I obtained the ultimate birth experience that I desired! I am forever grateful for her and consider her a friend. Ladies, please don't be fearful! Our bodies were created for this. Should a hospital transfer be desired or necessary, there is always a plan B and C for those scenarios. If you are having trouble getting your husband on board, I highly recommend having him watch "The Business of Being Born." Midwifery care is actually MUCH cheaper than standard prenatal care and hospital birth. If you choose Margie to help fulfill your prenatal, postnatal and childbirth needs, you cannot go wrong! I'm extremely disappointed with the care I received at Dr. Mitchell's office. My delivery was a…read morenightmare. After delivering the baby, I lost feeling in my leg and despite constantly asking for help afterward, my concerns were ignored or not treated seriously. I was scared to hold my baby or even walk, but no one seemed to care. I later found out I damaged nerves in my leg while delivering. This experience was incredibly frustrating, especially since I've had other deliveries at different hospitals and expected a certain level of care. Additionally, part of the placenta was left inside my body for months. I kept complaining about unusual bleeding and pain but was dismissed similar to when I brought up the numbness in my leg. It wasn't until I demanded an ultrasound--after talking to other doctors online--that they finally took action and realized what was going on. Even then, I had to practically beg them to remove it before the Thanksgiving holiday. It felt like they were more concerned about their holiday plans than my health. I realize diagnosing health issues isnt easy and mistakes can be made. But I dont have tolerance for rude or disrespectful behavior. The straw that broke the camel's back happened the other day. After arriving for a recent appointment, I was asked to sit in the waiting area and would be checked in shortly. Another patient arrived after me and was immediately being checked in. I was confused so went to ask if I could also be checked but was quite rudely asked to wait. I've finally decided to find another doctor. I hope this review helps bring attention to the issues at this office so they can start treating all patients with the care and respect they deserve.

I am so grateful we found Cole Health. This is a genuine review, and these 5 stars were absolutely earned. My child first started speech therapy with DeAnn, and you can truly tell she has a passion for what she does. My child absolutely adores her and is always asking about her at home. Watching the bond they built over time meant so much to me as a parent. The progress my child has made at Cole Health has been incredible. He went from mainly making utterances and barely talking to now talking nonstop at home. The growth and progress we have seen during his time here has been amazing to witness. He also worked with Mills, who was equally amazing. She was patient, kind, and made such a positive impact on my child's journey. Finding a therapy office with such caring and dedicated staff is rare. Kaitlyn, his OT therapist, was also wonderful to work with and always made us feel supported throughout the process. I visited first in September to have my iud removed after waiting 50 minutes to be called back. Not even to see the doctor but simply called back for vitals. When he finally made it I said "I hope you were delivering a baby" and he said "I wish that was it". Ok! I was so flustered that I hardly asked any of my questions. I asked for him to call in some prenatals for me... he never did. Then I get a bill in the mail for $50 after I already paid a $70 copay. Turns out this was all an error and I was credited on my next visit. Still annoying. Fast forward to 3 months later where we are pregnant and I schedule my first appointment. Well a week later on New Year's Day I started bleeding with visible clots. It was the longest 24 hours ever to wait for the practice to open on 1/2 to see when I can come in. I called no less than 9 times starting at 9 am and no one was answering. I left a message and heard nothing until 1045 am. I had to call their Plano office (nicest lady ever who was so sweet and caring, btw) to get any sort of progress made. So I go in at 11, wait forever again but not quite 50 min, to see dr. Estafondiari who, was very lovely as I said. She was the only dr present so I understood that I had to wait. They do a sono and labs and send me on my way and tell me they'll call me the next day (a Thursday) with results and I'll come back Friday to check my levels again. Thursday rolls around and I'm patient until the afternoon when I call and leave a message asking for my beta results. I finally get a call back and it's pretty clear I've miscarried and the dr tells me not to bother coming in the following day for labs again. So it doesn't stop there. After my devastation the practice has the nerve to call me and see if I'm still coming for my labs. What?! I miscarried and we all know it. As if that wasn't enough I get an appointment reminder a week later about my upcoming sonogram appointment. WHY WERENT THESE APPOINTMENTS ALL CANCELLED!! I had a miscarriage. End of story. Please fix these problems because it's devastating to treat a woman who's suffered loss like this. I will not be back. What a shame for such nice doctors to have such a crappy staff.

I simply called to confirm that before making an appointment and the front desk straight up refuses to ask the doctor if this is a service he offers saying I need to come in and pay for an appointment to find out if he can even service me. Why would anyone need to spend money to ask you a question about what YOU offer??? Absolutely unacceptable and makes it seem like all this doctor cares about is $$$$$ !! Telling a patient if you cover a service should not cost the patient a dime!!
