After some time, I learned a lot of the not so great things that happened to me with both first and second births were extremely avoidable. A lot of resentment followed those births for quite some time. All that to say, with my third birth, as time has passed, I have grown more and more infatuated with the whole experience. Teri and Teree are truly a match made in heaven. They balance each other out so well. Teri is extremely detailed and informative. My postpartum was night and day compared to previous births and I truly owe that to this team. I had a complete second degree tear and partial third and Teri went to work!! You are in great, if not the best, hands if you do tear under her care. I'm still so amazes at her craftmanship. Teree, gosh I just want to be best friends with her. We laughed, prayed, and connected. She brought an immense amount of peace and joy to my birth. She is a true servant, and equipped with so much knowledge. We had such an amazing experience at the beautiful and welcoming Frisco Birth Center for both births and formed a truly special relationship with Margie that will never be forgotten. Margie is an incredibly kind, gentle, supportive, knowledgeable, and professional midwife who genuinely cares about her clients in a way that is rare in any medical setting. Throughout pregnancy, she promptly answered any questions or concerns that arose, even making herself available between visits as needed, despite her busy schedule. Our older children came with me to prenatal appointments and they adore her as much as we do! She took the time to teach them and let them get involved in finding baby's heartbeat and position, which helped them get so excited to meet their new sibling. Leading up to the birth, we had some unusual findings in one of the blood samples that were run, and she put in extra time and effort to help us find the answers we needed to feel confident in our birth plan. There was also a risk of hemorrhage, but she wisely helped us weigh all of our options before, during, and after the birth so that we could have the safe and beautiful delivery we hoped for. Margie and her assistant midwife, Neta (who is also wonderful), accurately assessed the health of both mom and baby and responded quickly and professionally to any concerns that arose, including a very fast transition and delivery and maternal bleeding. We felt completely safe and empowered throughout the entire process because of Margie's clinical skill and compassionate demeanor. Birth can be unpredictable, and we felt well-informed and supported through every decision. After the birth, her standard of excellence continued, as she made multiple home visits to check on mom and baby and helped empower us make the decisions about his health we were uncertain. For my second birth I gave birth at Allen Birthing Center which was fantastic! This third time around, I decided to do several interviews of midwives in the area. I felt an instant connection to Margie and I knew that I wanted to go with her. I was having some financial issues at the time but she allowed me to make a payment plan and get a substantial discount. She really does care about people and want to help in any way possible. If you have formerly received obstetric care, I think you'll find that out-of-hospital midwifery care is a night and day opposite experience. Obstetrics focuses mostly on the baby and is very fear-based. Margie is very holistic in her methods and believes in the woman's body's capability to birth. She knows that the mother's emotional state is just as important as what is going on with her physically. Through our appointments I let her know my goals for my birth, including my desire to birth in an upright position. She made sure that all of my wishes were respected and I obtained the ultimate birth experience that I desired! I am forever grateful for her and consider her a friend. Ladies, please don't be fearful! Our bodies were created for this. Should a hospital transfer be desired or necessary, there is always a plan B and C for those scenarios. I'm extremely disappointed with the care I received at Dr. Mitchell's office. My delivery was a…read morenightmare. After delivering the baby, I lost feeling in my leg and despite constantly asking for help afterward, my concerns were ignored or not treated seriously. I was scared to hold my baby or even walk, but no one seemed to care. I later found out I damaged nerves in my leg while delivering. This experience was incredibly frustrating, especially since I've had other deliveries at different hospitals and expected a certain level of care. Additionally, part of the placenta was left inside my body for months. I kept complaining about unusual bleeding and pain but was dismissed similar to when I brought up the numbness in my leg. It wasn't until I demanded an ultrasound--after talking to other doctors online--that they finally took action and realized what was going on. Even then, I had to practically beg them to remove it before the Thanksgiving holiday. It felt like they were more concerned about their holiday plans than my health. I realize diagnosing health issues isnt easy and mistakes can be made. But I dont have tolerance for rude or disrespectful behavior. The straw that broke the camel's back happened the other day. After arriving for a recent appointment, I was asked to sit in the waiting area and would be checked in shortly. Another patient arrived after me and was immediately being checked in. I was confused so went to ask if I could also be checked but was quite rudely asked to wait. I've finally decided to find another doctor. I hope this review helps bring attention to the issues at this office so they can start treating all patients with the care and respect they deserve.

My wife and I have had not one, not two, but three gender test appointments canceled only a few…read morehours before the scheduled time. We even received a confirmation text the morning of the third appointment. We experienced a miscarriage earlier in the year, before getting to the point of knowing gender. We were recently blessed and are now pregnant again. So, while personal emergencies happen, getting canceled three times is unacceptable and incredibly frustrating. This has postponed excitement and joy about finding out the gender of our rainbow baby.

I got a pretty bad case of COVID and then developed a rare condition called Intrahepatic cholestasis of pregnancy (ICP), but Jeannine was there for me every step of the way. She consulted with multiple doctors throughout the rest of my pregnancy and I always felt like I was in the best of hands. During and after the delivery, Jeannine and the rest of the birth team made me feel so supported and encouraged. They were very attentive to all my needs and let me do everything at my own pace. I gave birth to my first daughter in a hospital, but I didn't have the best experience. I wanted something different the next time around. Delivering my second daughter in the birth center was so much better than my hospital birth. I felt encouraged and empowered. Plus, the recovery was much easier. I met Dr. Havemann who was able to review my HSG results and create a game plan for me. It was the first time o felt heard since 21 when I originally started my journey of trying to figure out why my cycles were so irregular and painful. Turns out I had stage 4 endometriosis and damaged tubes by the time I met Dr. Havemann. She referred me to Dr. Valenti to perform the procedure and I feel better now at 36 than I did at 26. We have met several times to discuss next steps and she explains them to me beautifully. I walk away feeling heard and seen and that is huge to me when finding a fertility team. We started my IVF cycle and mid way realized something needed to change. Even if IVF isn't successful for me I finally have my life back after getting my endometriosis removed and my damaged tubes taken care of this past year. The McKinney office is super clean and the staff is friendly. Everyone greets you with a smile from the financial side to the front office employees that check you in. My husband and I feel very taken care of and that we have a team of people who will do the work to figure the root cause and create a solution that we feel comfortable with as a couple. Dr. Havemann gave me my life back and that is something that 10 doctors prior to her weren't able to do! As a women I usually would here from OBGYNs that "I needed to work out more" "lose more weight" or "this could be a form of anxiety" How am I supposed to work out more when I have debilitating menstrual cycles? If you are looking for a positive, caring, clear & communicative IVF experience- I BEG YOU, DO NOT GO TO DALLAS IVF. Please know I could write PAGES about the terrible experiences Dallas IVF put us through, but I'm going to keep this as short and sweet as I can and tell you: PLEASE do your research on a doctors office that is right for you. Since all of these horrible experiences and heartbreaks, my wife and I found another doctor's office and have had the best and most importantly successful experience ever.
