Awful customer service. After ordering online and arriving several minutes after my pick-up time, I was charged an extra dollar for a request that was made for a smoothie. After I paid, I was told then my smoothie could finally be prepared. I was then given a hard time about receiving my sandwich and other smoothie while I waited. This is a nice location at Somerset mall. It is small, but I am happy to see it as an option on the first floor instead of the third with the food court. We came here after a long day shopping for hoco dresses and having no luck. My favorite thing to get at Beyond right now is the pressed lemonade with fruit. Today I got blueberries and strawberries. It was amazing. Although pricey, they give you a really large size that can't be finished in one sitting, I like it to drink for the entire day or share with someone in the family. My daughter likes the mango tango here. The kids typically for the smoothies over other drinks. She enjoyed it. The line today moved fast and the service was friendly and quick. I am not sure if the prices are mall prices and are a bit higher than the free standing ones, but if get food or drink at a mall there is no avoiding it. We would definitely come back here again. This location is on the first floor of Somerset mall. It is actually quite spacious inside. The interior is really nice. The line moves pretty quickly as well. I got one of their cookies, and it was absolutely delicious. I ordered my usual total energy drink and asked that they put it into two smaller cups. I took the drinks upstairs to my sister as she was getting her hair down. Sadly, they forgot to add banana to the drink. It tasted like a very sour and tarty strawberry drink. My sister did call them to let them know. They apologized and told us that they would remake the drink and bring us new ones because we were getting our hair done. I thought this was super awesome customer service and appreciated this. I love their smoothies and this was the only fluke my sister experienced, considering she orders from here all the time. I ordered a 20 ounce fresh Caliente raw juice and a shot of the turmeric and the ginger. It was $14.04. The juice takes a bit time since it's freshly squeezed and it takes a lot of veggies to produce an ounce so to get 20 ounces will take some time. The caliente is spicy and tastes so green and healthy, taste wise, it's okay, very earthy for sure. The ginger and turmeric shot has some major spice and kick to it, all from the ginger. There is a .75 charge to order a lemonade with no ice, outrageous. If you're selling a 32oz lemonade in a 32oz cup, but charge me .75 to remove the 8oz of ice then in all actuality you're only selling 24oz and you should state that. Don't tell me "ice" is an ingredient, because it's just more WATER. But when I ask for you to fill my cup after scooping the ice out, you offer to fill it with water! And talk about fresh! I was excited to learn that they have many locations throughout the metro area including the eastern market. I think my favorite feature of the juicery are the juice cleanse packages. Where you can choose from a 24 hour, 48 hour, or 72 hours juice cleanse to detox your body from all of the built up toxins from processed foods and give yourself a restart. After some light shopping this weekend I decided to grab a smoothie on my way home since I recently had my wisdom teeth removed and wanted something easy and soft to eat. A lot of places are still closed in the mall currently but I'm happy to report this place is open for business. All the chairs and tables are pushed back and there's no dine in option, only takeout/to-go. The place wasn't super busy so I didn't run into an issue staying 6 feet apart from the other 4 or 5 people there with me. I ordered the Total Energy smoothie with extra vitamin C inside of it and my partner who is a cookie fiend got the chocolate chunk cookie. He said it was one of the best cookies he's ever had and for someone like him that's saying something. I'm a little jealous I wasn't able to try it but he said it was super chocolatey and moist and just very yummy! The guy who took my order was very nice and friendly and everyone behind the counter was wearing a mask and appeared to be clean and got my smoothie to me super quickly. I've been here twice before and both those times I just got a smoothie or juice but next time I might try some food from here, everything looks really good. There's also so many locations that I probably won't go to this one specifically but it's a nice healthy alternative option to have when everything else in the mall is either super unhealthy/long wait times or just a little expensive for something on the go. 3.5 stars that I'm rounding up to 4 stars because I'm glad to see this location in the mall. It just depends on what you order. I had to run some errands at Somerset but I was starving and parched. So I grabbed an early dinner there and it was A-OK. First off, the folks behind the counter were SO nice. There was a fella in particular (I didn't catch his name since he didn't help me) that I watched spend a good chunk of time walking through an older couple place their order. He was so patient and kind. I was impressed. My particular clerk wasn't overly friendly but it was a fine experience. My smoothie, the Mango Tango (mango, pineapple, banana, cream of coconut, honey.) was really tasty and was a nice touch of tropical flair during a cold Michigan winter day. For eats I got the Turkey Avocado wrap which was...ok. Mostly because they forgot to add the avocado. Which I didn't realize until I was several bites in. I debated going up and telling them but I as in a hurry and didn't have time to get my sandwich remade. Without the avocado it was just a little boring. Turkey, lettuce, and munster cheese with a little hummus. I'd definitely go for something a bit more interesting in the future. Always happy to support a local business. They've opened quite a few around the Metro Detroit area, so it looks like business is booming. The smoothies/juices aren't cheap by any means. Think of it as a meal replacement?? $7+. The line was quite long, filled with millennials and Gen Z's, more or less the target demographic. It moved quite quickly though. The only thing was the menu was in really small print on the far side of the wall, so you couldn't see what you could order until you were like 2 spots behind the cashiers. I was starving and in need of something semi-healthy, so I went with the recommendation of the associate,the Colombian smoothie. Located by the North side parking structure entrance, the prime spot makes Beyond Juice an extremely convenient stop for shoppers. I love that the mall finally has healthy food options, and there's nothing like a nice, refreshing drink after a long day of shopping. The juices and smoothies are all reasonably priced, and servings are generous as well. There's a ton of customization options for smoothies if you want to add extra protein, seeds etc, and for juices, you can create your own. They currently offer two sizes, the default option (which I assume is 24oz) and a smaller 12oz for 2 dollars less. In addition to drinks, there's also a selection of fresh sandwiches, salads, and wraps for purchase. What I love about this place is that none of the drinks overly sweet, which has been an issue at other smoothie places I've been to in the past. Love that there is a Beyond Juice in the mall!! It helps when all I want is to get a frapp but instead get a smoothie that will satisfy my craving. The Original wrap is my favorite. It has egg whites, avocados, cheddar and tomatoes. So yummy. I love Carlos detox smoothie and add Burn Fat Burn to it for that extra boost. I have tried their juice cleanses too but they seem to have launched new ones which I have yet to try. Ahh yes no wonder I needed a smoothie today. This place has all the greatest ingredients and I'm so happy I ordered THE ANNA'S smoothie loved it, shared it, and it was gone in 30 seconds. We went back and ordered two more smoothies and a chicken lemon rice soup. Now the soup wasn't what I would expect from a chicken lemon soup it was a super thick consistency but I still enjoyed every bite. I would definitely order it again. We ordered two different smoothies because I seriously want to try every one I love the list here. So we ordered the COLOMBIAN CONNECTION which caught my eye the first time because it's like my favorite smoothie I make at home. It has coffee, banana, and froyo to name a few of the ingredients that were my deciding factor in this smoothie. And we also ordered the BLACK BERRY BLAST which was fresh and very summer time tasty. After hearing my sister rave about this place, I reluctantly made my way to the mall to drink some juice. At first I was not convinced that I would want to walk to the mall just to drink some juice in a mall, but my sister insisted that I try it. I was surprised by the selection from the menu and everything looked delicious. The ingredient taste fresh and the serving sizes are huge! I was excited to try this place out & have a healthy beverage option while I was at Somerset. This juice bar utilizes customer-facing devices that require you to swipe your card and select a tip amount upon placing your order. If I recall correctly, it was mandatory to select a tip amount, and the options that I recall were $1, $3, $5 and $10. Now, I am a firm believer in tipping generously for the service that restaurant employees provide. With that said, a tip is given after service is provided, not before. I did not have a problem adding a tip to my total, as I assumed that I would be given good service in this relatively new establishment. (It's been a couple months since I visited, so it was actually very new at the time.) I watched in disbelief as one of the employees placed greens in the juicer without gloves. I looked at another employee who was wearing gloves, and then looked back at the employee, hoping that the employee would get the hint. I should have said something, but I didn't want to create a scene or anything. The employee then handed me my $9 juice in a styrofoam cup. Styrofoam. That was the icing on the cake. This is just another "trendy" juice bar that is perfect for people who want to "check-in" at a healthy food establishment or post pics on Instagram, but not for people who actually want a quality product with quality service.
