Better than Starbucks! 10/10 The staff is friendly and the service is speedy. Inside there are several tables to enjoy your bowl and nothing beats the beachy, surfer vibes. The staff didn't know what they were doing I usually go to playa once a week just not this location usually and they literally put in basically 2 scoops (yes it looked like ice cream scoops) of the açaí and pitaya. When I complained because my bowl wasn't filled all the way they "fixed it" by just slapping some more açaí and pitaya. Just go to another playa location not worth it. I got really bad stomach ache and I usually don't ever from playa when I eat there but from this one I did. Like honestly a bowl doesn't have to be picture perfect I get also all my fruit got covered by the slapped in açaí and pitaya but it's there. I forgot to get a picture of what it looked like before but it looked the equivalent of just under 1/2 eaten. Just go to Rochester or Bloomfield I've never had issues like that before at either of those places even when those places are slammed. read more

Playa bowls is a fun concept. Depending on what you get, options range from meal to dessert. I ordered one of their summer specials which was a mango sorbet topped with blueberry flax granola, sliced banana and strawberries, with Nutella. Definitely leaning on the dessert side. Admittedly, I am a Playa Bowls junkie having grown up on the east coast. What impresses me about playa bowls is their standard of consistency between locations. I have been to many locations across NJ, PA, MI and FL and they do a great job of serving a fresh and delicious bowtimvwey time. My favorite bowl was recently discontinued (the Jetty) due to them replacing the chia base with mango. I do love the mango power bowl so I am not devestated. Another favorite is the acai power bowl. Everything is great here. You can't go wrong! read more

Ok, I'd been hearing about Playa Bowls for a while and was slow to get there.. First off, I don't care that much about fruit. I try to make myself eat it because I know it's good for me, blah blah blah, but if I'm very honest.. I just don't care that much about it. ... So I'm thinking, how good can a smoothie be really? Well, it can be pretty dang good. This place has really good vibes, like will make you want to be on a beach somewhere. Lots of hand painted illustrations and handmade chalkboards. I've tried a few things - one of the normal playa bowls with schtuff on top, and a coconut pineapple smoothie (so sorry I don't know which one) .. and both were mind-blowingly good. Smoothie has full chunks of frozen fruit and just tastes like protein power, açaí bowl is absolutely drowned in honey. Not worth how much you spend. I worked here and it's good but nothing too special. The franchise has their items priced too high to be worth it unless you have a discount or are an employee. All the fruits are very fresh though, definitely a strength of Playa Bowls. read more

Wow, this one fell off, the energy is low. Ppl are now rude. This used to be my favorite playa bowls. Very rude and unaccommodating. She informed me that she cannot make any changes on my coffee drink that I usually get that. I should try something else and that they fired the other manager for changing the coffee drinks and not following company procedures. Well I won't be back. I've spent at least 500-600 each month at this location. How terrible to be treated that way. read more
