The studio is gorgeous but the staff is disorganized and fail to communicate efficiently with parents. The teachers are average with no special or outstanding qualities. Many children in my daughters' 3 year old 1st year tap/ballet class complained they were yelled at often by the instructor. More than anything, though, the owners were so awful and rude to the parents during photo day and dance rehearsal for the recital it was truly one of the most unprofessional and chaotic displays of poor customer service I have ever witnessed and had the misfortune to personally experience. I would recommend any serious dancer or anyone with interest in a school that CARES about the students go to Vicky Simegiatos Performing Arts Center. read more

Can't recommend this place enough. Daughter has been going here for a few years now, she's done amazing at the recitals, its a real confidence builder for her. We've brought her school friends looking for weekend activities as well, and they have a real blast every saturday morning. The moms are always chatting out front watching the girls on the monitor practicing for the recital or singing and dancing to the fun song at the end. The teachers are all engaging and caring, and are very accommodating for kids who are nervous beginners. A great way to get clingy kids to start doing their own thing. read more

My daughter has begun her 9th year of dancing with Beyond Dance. She began as a shy three year old taking ballet and tap and is now an outgoing, passionate 11 year old taking as many classes as her school schedule will allow. She LOVES every minute she spends at the studio and in class. Beyond Dance is an incredibly nurturing, professional and loving environment with dedicated staff. My daughter was accepted into Mark Twain's dance program due in large part to her training at Beyond Dance. She goes into all auditions feeling confident and well prepared and behaves in the professional and friendly manner she was taught. The faculty she has had the great fortune to work with have stunning professional resumes. Her ballet teachers have performed professionally at Lincoln Center, her contemporary teacher has performed all over Europe and in New York based dance companies, her tap teacher studied at the Ailey school and has danced on Broadway, and her hip hop teacher was a finalist on So You Think You Can Dance. The owner of the studio, also a wonderfully accomplished dancer, offered her students a thrilling opportunity this summer by hosting master classes taught by professionals such as Chris Judd, Lauren Froderman, Courtney Galiano, Dana Foglia, The Spellman Sisters and Rhapsody James. I have recommended the studio to many people who are so happy having their children dance at a studio with such positive energy. I feel so fortunate to have found a studio that is a professional dance training facility and not just a competition mill. It is a studio that cares deeply for all of their students and goes the extra mile to insure customer satisfaction. read more

My daughter just completed the summer dance class for beginners with Serena it was an awesome experience. She is great with children and knows how to teach a variety of dance styles. The staff is very warm and welcoming as well. Jennifer who is the Director also made our experience great, she introduced herself individually to each parent and got to know a little about each child. After not having danced since High School, I decided I wanted to get back into it. I chose the school that was closest to me (at the time). My first year at Beyond Dance, I decided I was only going to try out one class and I was NOT doing a recital. A month in, I decided to do the recital. The next year I was taking 2 classes. The year after that, 3 classes. By my fourth year at the studio, it became my home away from home. The teachers, students and parents become a second family here. The studio is beautiful and offers opportunities to take Master Classes (classes with professional/famous choreographers and dancers). Can't say enough good things here! read more
