I may be biased with this establishment but I have been following Alison since she was at Anarkali almost 10 years ago. I swear by threading and think it's the best way to keep my brows in check. I have gone to places near and far for an excellent threader and look no further: Alison opened up Beyond Brows - I have been coming here ever since she opened up a few years ago. She took a hiatus for health reasons but she is back and I do not go to anyone else to take care of my eyebrows. She is consistent with my shape and keeps them clean and looking fabulous. I will admit, if you are a first time customer here, it will not be top knotch exquisite service. This is a threading salon - not a spa. You will be waiting even if you HAVE an appointment, but I suggest calling ahead to see what the wait is like before you come if you are in a rush. If you are lucky enough to get Alison, you will not be disappointed. She has a gift! She is quick, painless and not to mention extremely efficient. She knows what she is doing. I cannot speak on behalf of anyone else as Alison is the only threader I go to here. She has been in this industry for a very long time. If you live in the Pines area and are looking to check out a new place to tame your brows, then look no further to Beyond Brows. It may not be the best service you receive customer service wise, but that is a miss I am willing to take to have the best shaped eyebrows on the block. I can honestly say this was absolutely worth the drive to visit her. I was in desperate help with my brows and she was the key to it. I have been growing my brows out for a while, but I have began to give up on hope thinking there was nothing else left to do. So I gave in one more time to see if something can turn it around and thankfully it did. I called in ahead of time to see if she was available and thankful she had a walk-in policy. Told me the fee ahead of time, which was nice if her. When I got the there, I was greeted with a warm friendly welcome. When it was my turn, she explained my situation to me and what I can do to help it back in the right path. And boy did she do her thing. Thank you again Alison, you are amazing. Super nice woman! Very sweet and works very quickly. Personally didn't love the result. My eyebrows were very thick- thicker than all of the women photoed here. And she made them very thin after stating she would be leaving them thick. I've been going to a place in sunrise for 8 years and wanted to find someone closer to home. Wanted to like this place, but the demand of pre-paying for my manicure before going turned me off. I made an appointment online and instantly started getting spammed thru text about paying a $25 fee for the appointment. For reference a gel mani is listed as $30 on their website. I ignored it. Later that night i got a confirmation that the appointment was confirmed. Showed up at the allotted time and there was a sign on the door saying they would be back an hour later. Its like they left on purpose just to be out when my "confirmed" appt was. Seems very petty. I pay deposits for hair services that are high value, $200-$300. Not for nails, this is what happens when people are too full of themselves, especially when there are nail salons on every corner. 3 of them in this same plaza, go figure. read more
