I had an appointment for 9:30, I was taken to the eye exam room by 9:40ish but the doctor didn't come to see me until 10:15. I was about to go out looking for somebody to make sure they haven't forgotten about me when the doctor saw me and said she's almost coming to me. 2. I gave my insurance details but they wanted me to pay 165$ for the visit. I asked why my insurance wont cover it and the optical department person just said "this is what the doctor quoted for you". And I repeated that I have never had to pay for an eye exam, my insurance has always covered it for the past 5 years. She double checked and removed the charge. I would have paid it if I didn't ask the second time. 3. They didn't have samples for my prescription, and I was running out of my old prescription (again something that never happened in the past 10 years of going to doctors in the US) 4. I asked the optician if I could pay for expedite shipping since I will run out of contacts in 4 days. She said that's not an option. And then after checkout she said she'll call me when they're ready for pick up. I asked if I could change the address to my house to save time, she said yes and charged me 25$. After a few minutes when I asked, she clarified that they would ship the contacts. Knowing that I am trying to expedite, I expected them to say fastest way is to pick up since they ship it to home address from their clinic and not directly through manufacturer. Honestly don't know how to react to this -_- Obviously had to cancel delivery and select option to pick up. 5. I called a few days later to check and they said the manufacturer has a delay and the contacts wont ship for another month!!!! Given I am now using my 1 last daily contact for the past week hoping I will get my new ones any day, I was shocked but it's not the clinic's fault. I asked if I could get the brand changed so I could get some other brand faster. They said they'll check with doctor and call back. Never received a call back. 6. I just noticed that my prescription has the wrong brand to begin with!!!! I have never in my life worn Acuvue moist, I showed the doctor a picture of my current contacts which also says acuvue oasys on them. I was not even aware of the type moist and clearly did not pay attention to the prescription. I have been tryin to get in touch with the clinic since then and no luck In general, this is the worst experience I have ever ever ever had at a clinic, I have gotten no help from them and have had to look out for myself by asking them to double check insurance, prescription, delivery details, etc. If I could go back to the past and called someone else who was accepting new clients I would.

"Dear Dr. Raoof, I have made five attempts to contact Denisse Brito and left messages each time. She returned one call, but unfortunately, I was unavailable, and no further follow-up was made. They proceeded to do a regular exam and dilated my eyes without confirming the appointment purpose or telling me it wouldn't include contacts. Then they scheduled yet another appointment -- supposedly to actually handle the contact lens portion. Fast forward to today: I drove to their Laguna Hills office, checked in, waited ~20 minutes, and then was told the doctor "doesn't have time to see me today." No call, no heads-up, nothing. I took time off work for each of these visits, yet after three appointments, I still do not have my contacts. To make it worse, when I called after leaving, the best they could offer was to reschedule me with the same doctor who canceled on me today -- again, no acknowledgment of all the time wasted or effort to accommodate. This office has major scheduling, communication, and customer care issues.
