Amazing customer service! I made an appointment and came in today for an eye exam. It is my first time, but my wife and daughter have been here in the past. The staff upfront and the optometrist that saw me, her name was Jackelyn (I believe, 95% sure lol). It was not Dr. Huyn today. They all were very welcoming, very kind, and very helpful team. What I enjoyed the most was that the front staff was not trying to pressure me into buying a more expensive type of glasses or to add things to the lenses that on my case, would be unnecessary. I've been coming here for years and the staff are simply the best! They always help me to get the best price possible, they fix my glasses for free when they can be fixed on the spot, and they are just always kind and helpful. Even after I moved I will always come here as long as the staff is there. Years ago I took my mother to LensCrafters and it was always $500-$600 for glasses. Yes so glad I chose Dr Huan for my 10/20/20 eye exam funny I won't forget that date ! The front staff was great Celine and Jessica at booking my exam and getting my insurance info all before my appointment. I didn't have to wait as they don't double book here . They have all Covid precautions here- hand sanitizer and limit the number of appointments and signs posted when you walk in. Once I completed my short paper work Dr Huan took me back for my eye exam . We both had our masks on the entire time , she wore gloves as well and used alcohol wipes to sanitize the machines in front of me before I put my face on the eye test machines in the back . I also had my eyes dilated this time to check for diseases of the eye . Once done I was able to choose a new pair of glasses and Celine assisted me which I appreciated for a second opinion. Target has Ray Ban, Vogue, Coach , and about 3 or 4 other brands inside the store to choose from. If you want more they have an even mire online . I had no problem finding a new pair of Coach for myself . I did get progressive lenses that transition so made sure not to buy too small of a frame this time . They ensure that sanitize each pair of frames that are tried on by each person by keeping enough baskets down for glasses to be put into once tried on . I did ask Celine for flexible frames like I had currently - I didn't realize until I picked up my order that the pair I chose was not flexible . It still is a very nice frame and I have had only 3 hours so I will see if I want to keep or exchange . I think the mask makes it a bit harder trying on glasses and with worrying about touching too many frames and with my eyes dilated I messed up and didn't try enough frames on . Take your time and try on as many as you need and make sure the frames are flexible if you want that kind . If your thinking about going to get your eyes examined before the end of the year - consider Target for these reasons ; Dr Huan is very detailed in exam and friendly All front staff friendly and helpful Target offers 90 day no questions ask exchange or return policy Target offers 5% DISCOUNT if you use your RED CARD Get an extended 1 year warranty on your glasses for $35.00 . I didn't know about this until I got home from picking up my glasses but will add it tomorrow! They except many eye vision insurance plans - with most frames being less then $209 and under you won't be spending $500 here with insurance like at many other places . They said allow 3 weeks for my glasses but were ready in 1 week and 1 day ! That's amazing in these times ! Truly the best optical boutique in town. The doctor was very knowledgeable and genuinely friendly. She not only gave me a new prescription but also made sure my eyes are healthy by giving me a dilation. I've gotten the dilation done with other doctors but the doctors didn't really say much about why. This doctor told me about floaters and other things really making it worth it. I was very surprised at seeing brands like Versace and Armani and was even more surprised at their deals. The sales person was very helpful at helping narrow down my many options. Beyond ridiculous experience - steam is coming out of both my ears! Imagine yourself in this easily solved scenario: Absolutely horrendous office staff! Oh, they smile and act nice, but the moment you need something, they hide behind bureaucracy. My Aetna insurance is such that I pay for the service, mail the receipt and paperwork and Aetna reimburses. I gave the doctor's staff an easy form (see pic) but they/or the doc didn't include their taxpayer ID #, thus my claim was rejected. OK, human error, life happens. I called the office for the taxpayer ID number and they had it readily available, but the only way I could get the number is for me to drive over an hour to have them write the number on the form and hand the form back to me. They fully acknowledged that I am who I said I was but still nope. Talk about being weak and bureaucratic, and quite frankly, lack of standard common sense. (The form also says in the question "you are required under the authority of law to furnish your identifying number"). So, the number, by default isn't a super-secret protection concern. The doctor was great, but a doctor is only as good as the staff that supports her. Thus, have your ducks in a row with this doctor or else stupidly reigns. Beyond angry at this. I'm a regular guy and now have to plan a day off to visit the store/doctor for them to write down a number so I can mail it to the insurance company (I have to mail it, not the store or doctor for Aetna reimbursement). I've been going to the same optometrist all my life, but since I got new vision insurance it no longer covered that optometrist. I decided to try out this Target Optical since I live close by. Frankly, I've always hated going to the optometrist, but wow--Dr. Huyn is so sweet and informative! Whenever she asked me questions about my eyes or vision, she always followed up with why she asked in simple terms. She was quick and efficient with the exam and also explained each test to me. Their equipment is also very high tech compared to my old optometrist, I never even knew newer technology existed! She was also very helpful during my contact lens fitting and made sure I walked away feeling comfortable with what was in my eyes. Jacob was also extremely helpful with explaining my insurance coverage and explaining the prices. Super friendly and patient guy, and he doesn't pressure you to buy anything right away. If you're in a rush and trying to do a walk-in, I don't recommend going during busier times on weekends - it seemed like it was just 2 people working in the optometry at a time, so when they get busy you may have to wait a bit. However they were always so friendly with everyone and made sure they were attended to and their questions were answered. It was super easy to get an appointment with this Target Optical and I'm very happy I did. The Dr. is super nice and very patient. She answered all my questions. They have the latest equipment and Dr. Huyn was very efficient. They have a surprisingly nice selection of eyewear and they helped me pick out my glasses and lenses. First let me begin by saying Dr. Huyn is great and the eye exam itself was great. There were no problems there. Where I ran into issues is with everything else about my glasses buying experience. 1. I had made an appointment for 10:30am and got to target optical at 10:25am, on time. When I got there the receptionist was helping a man before me so I, politely, waited to the side. I happened to overhear that the man was a walk-in. Finally it's my turn to be helped and after I do my paperwork I'm told that I have to wait for the other man to go first! Excuse me?! I made an appointment for a reason and that reason was not to get shafted by someone who simply walked in last minute! My appointment was at 10:30am, I didn't get seen by the doctor until ~11:45am. Instead a walk-in who came around 10:25 was seen ahead of me. 2. After placing an order for new glasses I'm told the wait will be around 10 business days. That's fine. I wait and 15 business days pass and still nothing. Finally I give them a call asking what's up and I get some of the worst phone service from a major corporation that I've had. The guy who picked up sounded like he'd rather be doing anything else than talking to me. Straight up sounded bored out of his mind. I give him my last name (so he can find the order) and let him know that my order is 5 days late and no "oh sorry about that" or anything. Instead he simply goes "oh I'll call the lab and call you tomorrow morning". I go "oh, okay" and he ends the call. That's it, it was very abrupt and bad customer service with no investigation on why my order is significantly longer than expected only a "I'll call you back" with an unspecified time. Tldr:: My eye exam was fine but I definitely recommend that you DON'T order you glasses through target optical. They will likely be late and you will likely get bad service on top of it. read more

So i went with my family to get some new glasses it started with them saying that they couldn't find our information, this was because they misspelled our last name. However my mother somehow had the same last 4 digits in her SSN as someone else with the misspelled name. So I went and filled out redundant paperwork, and got my eyes checked. I went with getting my eyes dilated and was told that I would be back in a while, needless to say that never happened so I got my eyes dilated for no reason. Now once I picked my lenses the guy who did the sales tried to upsell me on add ons. With insurance the price came down to about $450. Needless to say I switched to the cheaper classification and it came down to like $270 (this was after I had to argue about the price making no sense). Then about halfway through my mothers order my eyes were hurting from the pointless dilation and they never gave me any eye protection I ended up having to leave. Once I was about to leave we found the eye doctor coming back from break we asked for some eye protection and they gave it to me. After that I had my mother drive me back, we had 2 cars so my father was able to stay for the purchase. So my mother's order turned into a problem with her transition frames so she cancelled her order. Mine ended up becoming a problem price wise because the sales guy (accidentally) deleted some of the features I wanted to jack up the price. So I cancel led my order and told my father to get the prescriptions back from them. He did and after 3 hours of not being able to see we went to Costco instead and paid a total of about $160 for our glasses. Moral of the story don't buy glasses or get your eyes checked through target. read more

My glasses snapped right on the nose piece. I can't see without them. Target optical took me as a walk-in and I had a 15 minute wait. The ophthalmologist was fantastic. I had picked out a pair of frames and within 45 minutes I was out the door. They quoted me a 2 week turnaround time and I got them within 10 days. I was so impressed with their lab and the superior customer service that when I picked up my glasses I got a second pair. Right now they're doing a promotion 40% off your second pair. I'd been seeing another OD for about 10 years and wasn't too happy with my last visit so I decided to try Dr.Huyn since she was recommended by a family member and I'm sooooo glad that I did. I realized how outdated my previous OD's equipment was and seems like Dr. Huyn's techniques are much more thorough. She was very detailed and patient explaining what she was doing and I also found out I have a slight astigmatism, that had never been identified. She gave me several different trial contact lenses to find out which ones I found most comfortable. My last OD seemed to always stick to Acuvue and has never offered me any other brands to try out, not sure why. Needless to say I found a new OD that the rest of my family will be seeing in the future. Also the optical staff was very patient and helpful in helping me find the right frames to fit my needs especially since I wear contact lenses 95% of the time. The glasses are so cute I will probably wear them during the daytime. Very happy with my new OD and her office staff. In addition I was able to use my Target red card and get an additional 5% discount which is always awesome! read more

Went for eye exam and glasses for my 2 daughters on 2 separate visits along with prescription sunglasses for my wife and myself. Dr. Huyn was thorough and very knowledgeable. Staff was friendly and extremely helpful. They had a good selection of glasses and sunglasses at the store. The pricing was good. We received the glasses and sunglasses in a week and after putting them on, everything seemed so clear and vivid. I had another pair of Ray Bans from another optical with the same prescription but was not as clear as the ones from Dr. Huyn. The older pair also had distortions on the edges where the lens were curved. I thought that was normal until I got the new pair from Dr. Huyn. I will be taking my whole family to Dr. Huyn from now on. Dr. Huyn's office is located in a Target so it is very convenient. I didn't even know that Target had an optical, and stumbled in while shopping. I've been needing to get my eyes checked for some time and was able to make a same day appointment. The process was quick and easy, and they had me in and out in no time. Dr. Huyn was very knowledgeable and friendly and took the time to answer all my questions. I've worn glasses my entire life, and never have been able to wear contact lens in the past as they've always been extremely uncomfortable. After chatting with the doctor, I decided to give it another go, and she was able to recommend contact lenses that work and feel great. I may now be a contact lens convert!! Went in for a eye exam, and found the sales personal to be extremely friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable. They explained my insurance options throughly, furthermore they tripled check the info I provided to insure all info was accurate. After my exam the Doctor recommended for dilation witch I had never done before, but the Doctor explained all possible side effects in detail, so I was very comfortable. Waited 20 mins and then went back to check my dilation. The Doctor explained the exam to me, and made recommendations to correct and help my current symptoms.
