We got a Pepperoni Pizza for the girls and the Meat Lover's Pizza for my Wife(My BFF) and me (we swapped out the prosciutto and added onions). The girls absolutely loved theirs and knocked down 3 to 4 slices each! The crust had great crispness and held up firmly without getting soggy. The pepperoni and sausage brought tremendous flavor, though I preferred the Meat Lover's because the sausage and onions created that extra layer of savory depth. The crust edge was just a tiny bit darker than we normally prefer, but that was minuscule compared to the overall quality. Big thumbs up all around for both the food and the friendly service. Before leaving, we had to grab some treats from the bakery side to go: Cannoli: My Wife (My BFF) ordered this (fried shell filled fresh to order with sheep's milk ricotta, cinnamon, chocolate chips, candied orange, and pistachio). Classic and delicious. Bomboloni: An incredible fried yeasted doughnut filled with honey saffron pastry cream. The dough itself was so soft, pillowy, and fresh. The honey saffron filling is unique, light, and not overly sweet, my Wife (My BFF) wasn't as keen on that specific flavor profile, but I loved it. Cornetto: Essentially a giant, lightly sweetened laminated brioche croissant. Flaky, buttery, and light. We could easily eat these pastries on a regular basis. We got 2 pastries and 2 coffee drinks. I got a lemon spritz espresso soda thing which actually was delicious! My husband got plain iced coffee which was also good. What I didn't appreciate was my drink being served in a soggy, soaking wet/condensing cup. They use paper to go cups. They need to figure that out, it was pretty rough to hold - collapsing and soggy, not a great experience. Our pastries were just okay - got the fig/creme filled big puff and a spinach ricotta pastry. Both were fine, a bit dry, and I've had similar/better things from Tous Le Jous, cafe dear Leon, and even ovenbird. These seemed maybe not so fresh. They do charge a 15% gratuity for all orders so we paid about $4 extra for a soggy cup and only okay pastries. Ultimately we just didn't love the experience and the cost. I'd come back to try the pizza and sandwiches but I will have low expectations.
