i'm sorry, bevmo, if i decided to rent a keg the day before my event. i'm so sorry it pissed you off to the point where you had to give me crappy customer service. don't worry, i still spent that $200 with your store anyways! i ask for the list of kegs available. the lady tosses a binder on the counter. i'm thinking "what is she doing..." i just stand there, and she points at the binder and looks at me like "hello????" oh geez. once again, i'm sorry if i simply asked you to take out a binder and show me a list of available beers. i'm sorry i made your life that much harder. oh wait, you're getting paid for it! get over it lady... i try to return the keg bag a couple days later.. they closed at 7pm. i came at 6:58. okay, bad move by me, but what does a couple extra minutes hurt them? i wait outside the door (it's locked) and it reaches 7pm. the associate let's a group of customers out the door, and i'm standing there like an idiot with the empty keg in my arms. me: "can i return the keg real quick pleaseeeeeee? (i really said it like this)"... him: "nahhh we're done for the night." me: "looks around.. uhhh.. are you serious" him: "yeah man we're done for the night" *door close* i think that should say enough about this situation. i was there to return THEIR product back to them so maybe they could rent out THEIR product again the next day to someone to make money for themselves. but i guess the associate didn't think this way. his precious few minutes would have been wasted by satisfying a customer. so i dragged my heavy ass keg back into my car and drove home. unbelievable. read more

Just called to order a keg and the girl was super rude. Told me she was too busy to take my order. Going to another bevmo! Not going back there again. read more

I wish i could give this place zero stars. the customer service here is the worst i have ever encountered anywhere in my life. every trip here is a horrible experience and i will never go back. 1st experience: i went here to buy a lot of booze for party. i ended up getting about $560 worth. my mother was hungry so i grabbed a $3 bag of chips. when we got to our car we discovered the chips were not in the bag so we went right back inside to the gentlemen who rung us up. he refused to give us a mag of $3 chips right after we just spend almost $600 there. we couldn't believe how rude he was and his refusal to just give us a damn bag of chips. my mother asked to speak to the manager and he went into the security room and said they have us on camera leaving the store with our bags so they don't have to give us squat. we were so angry we vowed to never go back. but we later said we would give it another shot. 2nd experience: me, my mother, and my girlfriend had just finished dinner nearby when my mother said she needed to go the bevmo so get some wine for a jewelry party for my cousins wedding. apparently they have a new rule where if you are not 21 or older you cannot be in the store, if you are with anyone else who happens to be older they are not permitted to go in the store and will be asked to leave regardless of your age or intent. that's a fine rule and all but this is where it went wrong. you see my girlfriend was 20 at the time and no one stopped us at the door to ask. no signs were posted to inform us of the new rule. no emails or phone calls were made to tell us of the new rule. the man we asked to help us find our wine said nothing. only after we had gather all our wine did the manager ask us to leave in a very rude tone. accusing us of buying the pink muscato for my girlfriend because shes underage. and made no apology or regret and said we cannot return until the next day without her. we just went to lucky s across the way to get the wine for her party and we are never going back. we used to spend about $500 a month at bevmo for years but now they have lost us forever. be warned! read more

Perfect for most of your needs. Compared to other Bevmos around San jose, this would be the second best given its selection, amount of space and how knowledgeable and helpful the staff is! In short.. CANDYSHOP FOR GROWN UPS! read more

OVER PRICED and over rated!! anything on sale is "club price" but they don't tell you that . Go to the store you end up paying a lot more .. look other small stores .. it has a better price!!! read more

Love this location for getting in and out. Talk to Bobby for all your alcohol needs cool beard cool guy!!!

Truong always gives me a hard time with attitude and now brings up multiple different policies that I've never heard of during the transaction. I am customer that comes in frequently including my girlfriend who always comes in with me as well. First, my girlfriend politely asks if his register was open, because he just stared at us for an awkwardly long amount of time. Secondly, he told my girlfriend and I that whoever is purchasing needs to provide the ID. And as I was about to provide my ID, he changes "the policy" saying that we both needed to provide our ID's because we both "carried items" to the registers. I was holding multiple items and she carried one case of alcohol to the register. My girlfriend then says that she only has a picture and not the physical. Which is understandable, he couldn't sell to her. He then says, "I can't sell to either of you because you don't have the physical ID" (I had the physical ID and he wouldn't let me purchase the items I brought to the register because my girlfriend didn't have her physical ID). Like I said in the beginning, my girlfriend and I come in here frequently and have purchased alcohol and provided our ID's multiple times and not once has anyone asked to see both ID's, I have even brought up the alcohol before and didn't show my ID during multiple transactions and my girlfriend has paid and was the only one that showed her ID. Worst experience and worst customer service. This isn't the first time he's given me a hard time purchasing alcohol. read more

BevMo is great. I am able to get many of my faves like La Pinta Pomegranate Tequila. Now as for this location...not so great. I ordered a bottle of my beloved La Pinta online and picked it up from the Blossom Hill BevMo. I went straight to the designated pick up area and one of the cashiers saw me, stared me down and never came over to assist. Mind you there were two registers open so it wasn't like he was holding down the check out on his own. After 10 minutes of waiting, I walked over to the cashier and asked for assistance. He muttered something under his breath and had a straight attitude with me. Even the BF made note of the 'tude that the cashier guy had. I love BevMo, but this location, not so much. read more

I'd give them a 0 but can't. The manager apparently told his lackey that a good substitute for the Blavod Black would be the absolute black...it was NOT! If you are going to sell alcohol have real knowledge. Irritating. Waste of money and time. read more

more detail on the crappy service was requested...so here it is... i was told by the cashier that for my particular issue, i would need to go to register 4. i found register 4, but nobody was actually at it, so i went back to the only employee i could find (original cashier) and was told "someone will come." ok...so i wait. yup, a guy finally came along...then said i needed the manager, not him, so he'd go get the manager. again...i wait. and wait...and wait...and wait. after awhile, there was another employee stocking shelves nearby who finally decided to ask me if i needed help. i said yes, i was waiting for the manger. well guess what...he WAS the manager. maybe other guy went for a beer break? no idea. manager finally helped me...and his lack of enthusiasm about having to do so was obvious. read more

I really wish someone would build a BevMo in East San Jose... But until then, I drive across town to this one. I'm like a kid in a candy store and always end up buying more than I meant to when I walked in. There's a couple employees here that are super knowledgeable about craft beers which is a big plus. Also this location is bigger and has more variety then some other BevMo's. 5 stars! read more

The most deserted BevMo I've ever seen. I actually thought it was closed. Only one check stand was open, so it took a bit of time. At least I got the closest parking spot. read more

Candy store for adults.... This store is always stocked with all the major liquor and wine. This is one of the larger stores in the area so you'll find what you are looking for. The 5 cent wine sale is a MUST. This location in particular always has the hard to find bottles in-stock and ready to go. The staff is very helpful and will assist when necessary. I love this store. read more

I go to BevMo as there is a lot of products to choose from and I enjoy trying new wines on the $.05 sales. I purchases a wine I have not tried before and it was not to my liking. It was so bad I did not finish my first glass I poured. I decided for the first time to take advantage of the return option I am always reminded of if I do not like the wine. I did not know I only had 7 days to do a return. The gentleman at the register told me we have a problem as it was pasted the 7 day return policy. I asked if we could make and exception and he said no. I went to the BevMo off Camden where I always get my wine and I spoke to the store manager Jeff. I said I was a little disappointed as I was not aware of the 7 day return policy. He apologized and asked if I had the wine. He then said we will take care of you and he returned the wine. Jeff asked if I would like to talk with their wine guy to see if I needed help choosing a wine and I said yes. I understand businesses have polices for a reason, but there comes a time when exceptions need to be made. BevMo almost lost a customer, but thanks to the manager Jeff at the Camden store they have a happy customer who will travel 4 more miles to their store when the Blossom Hill store is only a mile away from my home. read more

I usually don't write these kind of e-mails, but felt the need to in this case. Let me start by saying I am 32 years of age, and I have been to several different BevMos in the area. Tonight I was in with my husband, and due to leaving the house very quickly, I left my wallet. When we got to the cashwrap, the cashier asked for my husband's ID. While he was showing it, I started helping him unload the cart. Then the cashier asked for my ID, saying that since I was with him, he had to check mine as well. Here is the issue I have, and why I will not be returning. As I said, I have shopped in BevMo for years, and this is THE FIRST TIME both of our ID's have been requested. EVERY OTHER time, only the person who has been paying has had to show it. We have been shopping together before at Safeway, liquor stores, and many other places and all stores have always requested only the person paying. Yet, here I was being told that he could not sell us our alcohol. There was ZERO customer service during this experience. No one offered to hold it for us, no apologizing saying it's a store policy, nothing. Just NO. I looked around the cashwrap, the door, everything, and there are NO SIGNS at all stating that everyone present must present ID. Only the sign that states that CA law prohibits any sales without ID. If this is a policy, BevMo really needs to either a. post signs to notify their consumers, or b.have a person at the front checking all ID's for anyone who enters. Really surprised they turned down $200+ for a policy that I never knew existed. Is this a policy that ALL BevMos must adhere too? And if so, why are there SO many that do not? The straw that broke the camels back was that I had been near the front of the store while we were browsing, and I PHYSICALLY WATCHED the same cashier NOT CHECK 2 individual's ID's. It's a shame, because I do like BevMo.... but I've come to know several liquor stores that sell some great craft beer, and I think they will be getting my business from now on. read more

It's Christmas Eve and I came in for 1 bottle of wine but now I'm in line waiting to pay for 6 bottles. Thanks to the manager, Karen who took the time to help me pick out wine for my grandpa. On a Sunday - store was empty - all but employees. Horrible customer service. How many times do you have to say "Excuse me?" to a turned back? Apparently FOUR before you get any sort of response. Not a good experience. The cashier Sharese (sp) was kind and courteous other then that I will stick to the BevMo on Camden. read more

This is a small BevMo but small usually = better service and it did at this store. People asked me if I needed help even though I was just getting beer. When I was going to checkout they quickly open new lines however a group of old people cut in front of us and I wish the employees would of asked for the next customer. Besides that everyone was really friendly here. read more

It is a nice and easy parking!!!! I loved the fact they sell my Hoegaard! yummy!

Great selection of craft and import beers, even a decent selection of Belgians. Some of the beers are pricey but that's probably beyond their control. I am always a little suspicious about how long some of those have been on the shelf, but I've had pretty good luck. read more

Web pick up is easy. Staff is normally nice. I have one suggestion on "vintage substitution" when you order, click "no" because if they have to substitute, it's a huge pain to pick up and it takes forever. If they don't have something, you can just buy something else faster than them working the system to substitute. That being said, easy location. read more

First review ever goes to Bevmo Blossom Hill for the worst customer service I've ever experienced. I guess I have to give a star. I went in to this location about half an hour ago (around 8:20PM) with my husband and daughter to purchase a bottle of prosecco. It didn't take long until an employee pointed out a display of Dolce Vita Prosecco and clearly stated: "you buy two and get third one for a nickel" as he pointed to the bottles. My husband and I discussed and agreed it was a steal. We grabbed a box of 6 and proceeded to checkout. Cashier grabbed one and I noticed the price was twice as much as what was listed. I took her and showed the stacked boxes with the displayed priced that I mentioned. She showed another employee and murmured it was PRICED INCORRECTLY. They explained the obvious; however, didn't provide at solution nor showed empathy towards making a mistake- talk about owning the experience! The manager, I assume since he popped out of a cubicle/box stand came out and pointed out it was for a different bottle... sure I understand. What is the SOLUTION? Kid "manager" #1 Samson said he could honor price for only one bottle... I would have left long ago except the incompetence from both Samson and Matt if these are their real names was beyond infuriating. 1. scared kid #2 Matt, which I later leaned was second in command as he mentioned was the one that pointed me and my husband to that particular bottle. 2. "branch manager" Samson went to the back as I tried to get my point across to Matt who kept apologizing and directing me to BEVMO customer service who's closed at this time. What a great leader! Goes and hide smh 3. Matt also educated me on BEVMO CORPORATION. According to him, bevmo managers and district managers can not provide last names nor contact information. He stated: "we are a large corporation that is why we have customer service to handle escalations." Also, BEVMOs management team does not have an email/inbox. Long story short: screw you, call the 1800 number. Thank you management team for owning the customer experience and for educating me on BEVMO CORPORATION policies! read more

Bad service at the checkout. The cashier was more interested in telling everyone how many hours he works a day than helping me with my purchases. After I paid he pointed to a stack of boxes and then started helping with the next customer. I have something like 20 items on the counter. I liked BevMo because of the selection even if their prices are higher than Safeway and Costco. I think I will work harder from now on to get what I want elsewhere. I have been shopping at BevMo for 20 years and must have bought thousands of dollars of items. Their services have definitely been going down. Safeway on the other hand have really good service and always ask if I need any help with my groceries. To management: If the customer has a good shopping experience, he will come again. read more

I bought some wine here for gifts, all the same brand/type/etc. turned out to be not as good as the last batch, so I tried to return it 2 days after. Was told NO. I just went into bev mo this morning ---- one of the people in back was nice and helpful but he was not sure where the item that i was looking for was --- so he asked the guy at the check out stand who was doing nothing --- the guy came over and pulled out the most expensive bottle ---- i asked where the others were of this type... he said this is what you're looking for --- i said no --- this is extremely expensive ( very top shelve ) he said they were out of the others and walked away with the other nice helper and me ---- with an attitude--- which he had since the nice guy asked for his assistance !!! this was a short kind of stocky guy --- i think he was hindu/indian, but i'm not sure??? This was my first time at BevMo. I was brought there by the amazing five cent wine sale! I decided to order online to avoid the holiday rush. When I arrived exactly on time I went to the online pick up area and was greeted very pleasantly by John and who work there. Unfortunately one of my bottles of wine was not in stock... so he substituted for a better model at the same cost! He then move me to the front of the line to have my transaction process. After a hick up with the cashier it quickly came over and resolve the issue with great composure and customer service. I will absolutely be back again even without the sale because of the gentleman's customer focus. I greatly appreciate it. This was the experience I was looking for quick and painless!
