Decent selection, but the prices are too high. Up in Orange County, Bevmo will price match their competitors, but this store will not price match at all. I would definitely come here to try a new beer, and possibly some wine, but their prices are high. Especially on their liquor. One example is that I went in and they had a "discount" on Johnny Walker Blue at $180....go across the street to Costco, no membership needed for liquor sales, and you can get a bottle at $125. Lagavulin here is sold @ $80. Costco across the street, $55. My local Hi Times Wines in Newport Beach has much better prices as well. They would definitely give this place a run for it's money. read more

Oh man this place is awesome!! I walked out with a very heavy box of booze for $85. Bleu cheese stuffed olives, Gibson onions, Stoli, giant bottle of Bombay Sapphire, Vermouth, six-pack of Stella, Three Philosophers beer, cheap shiraz. The staff was super helpful-friendly. The girl at the counter even gave me an extra $10 discount because I signed up for their discount card. This is a great place to gift shop for your friends who drink. read more

My last few trips to BevMo convinced me that even though they have a wide variety they also have some very high prices. A $.05 sale on wine I don't drink is not enough to make up for the high prices on beers that I do enjoy. I can get better prices on premium and craft brewed beers at Albertsons, Sprouts and Rite Aid. I also just found a wine I wanted for a gift was selling for $33 at BevMo, but was on sale at Sprouts for $16. I'm now suspicious of all their prices and unless it's a unique or hard to find beverage I won't be looking at BevMo. I don't like giving marginal review, but in this case it's deserved. read more

I have been a wine lover for the past seven years. Serious, almost religious about it. I was raised in a small wine shop named Alternative Wines in Carmel Valley, a little known shop where quality was a way of life. Since Alternative Wines closed I have had a hard time finding a place that sold quality wine. Grocery stores were never an option. I have since found the BevMo in Carmel Mountain and are quite satisfied with their selection. Yes they carry the mass produced wines, but if you go there with an open mind and know what to look for, you can find many diamonds in the rough. The knowledge and selection of this particular BevMo has impressed me. Maui Blanc, which is only sold on the island of Maui is a rich, pineapple wine from the slopes of Haleakala, Maui's mighty volcano. The prices are very fair here and most of the staff are very helpful and interesting to talk to. I highly recommend checking this place out, pull one of the employees aside and get their opinions. Discovery is a rare virtue in the heart of the wine lover. Open your mind, and your pallet and you will find wine you never thought you would. I recommend this place as a place to start. read more

This is definitely the best Bevmo I have ever been to. The staff is very informed on their craft and can make great recommendations. They also have a humidor stocked with some of my favorite cigars on the market. I love all the craft beers. One staff member suggested I buy bird dog whiskey and now I'm hooked. I ordered 6 bottles of wine online to be delivered to my grandfather and dad on Father's Day since I was going to be away on business. I paid $50 just for the delivery fee and never had the wine delivered... not even an attempt... so they took my $50 plus the cost of the wine... didn't deliver it in the time frame they said they would... and when I called to find out why it wasn't delivered the customer service man that I spoke with was rude and lacking any business intelligence. Thanks but no thanks for stealing my money and ruining my Father's Day present... I will never shop with BevMo again! read more

I like BevMo on the whole. Not always the best prices or selection around, but u can usually get wut u need there. The prices on mini kegs r pretty good. The 5 Cent wine sale is AMAZING! Now they allow you to mix and match the wines that are on the sale so you are not forced to purchase 2 bottles of the same type of wine. And if your wondering when they ring you up, the ones that show as the 5 Cent wines are not the cheapest ones. The computer will match up all of the prices and make it the fairest discount possible. 5 cent Wine Sale! Love their sales and their selection of wines and spirits. However, I wish they had more flavored beers. Last year during the winter time I was looking for pumpkin beer from Samuel Adams and the Shipyard brewery (I had those in Boston/Maine and couldn't get enough of it). I thought Bevmo would carry them, but it didn't.... but I found another place that carries those beers. This is just a review of this location. The customer service is great and they certainly have all the beer and liquor most people could ever want. Went in to buy some Russian Osetra Caviar and they had 1 left. Had the clerk grab it for me as they are kept locked. Lady next to me had the clerk get her a Classic (USA) caviar. The clerk said he would hold the caviar for us at the cashiers and I had him confirm in hand the Osetra was mine. Lines were long and the lady got in a different line than me. She checked out first. I got to the end of the line and the guy brings it over to the register and they try to charge it before I got to look at it. I asked to see it, and found out the guy had given me the "Classic" instead. I asked him where mine was and he went back to the Caviar fridge, only to obviously realize none were left and that he had sold it to the other lady, who definitely scored on that one as it was the better caviar. I am not sure if this guy was completely incompetent or deliberately handed it to the lady. I was extremely frustrated and should have just left at that moment. No one offered to correct the mistake. This is and probably will always be my favorite BevMo. They have a vast selection on everything alcoholic(beer,wine, mixers, ext) and everythat goes with it like cheeses, crackers, meats, and snacks. They also have a very large selection on different type of non alcoholic drinks, my favorite being all the root beers. The only beef I have is that since there is so much non alcoholic stuff in there, there shouldn't be the age limit of 21 to enter, but I do see why they have that policy. read more

We love to entertain, and the team here as never failed us with finding the right wine, or ingredients for a fancy cocktail. Everyone is always very helpful and really knows their stuff, and if they don't have exactly the right answer they will introduce you to someone that has the right answer. There is a sizable market for what's known as Adult Soft Drinks. BevMo carries a nice variety, and most are made with cane sugar instead of HFCS. The 2 stars is because, like complaints at other BevMo's, this one can't get special orders right. There is a particular product that they carry in stock but are out of virtually every time I go in. I've ordered it twice in 5 weeks but they just keep f'ing it up, giving me excuses about why they didn't get it. Quit wasting my time & just tell me you don't do special orders. I have decided to buy this from Amazon dot com due to this perennial FUBAR. In addition, the staff is less than customer oriented. A male manager I dealt with, who shall remain nameless due to legal concerns, was neither friendly not rude but lackadaisical and disinterested. In addition, their people don't understand basic marketing. They had some holiday candy samples at the register, which were very good but nobody could find the boxed product. Three people in front of me would have bought the candy but weren't going to wait for someone to find it. 3 sales lost. I asked where the boxed candy was and they directed me to "over there somewhere." So I asked for a different manager and gave her a five minute lesson in basic marketing. Seems like one person put the samples at one register and someone else put the boxed product at a different register. I suggested, how about samples AND boxed product at both registers? "Oh ya, that's a great idea. Thanks." was the response I got. Would have been nice to get a small discount or other consideration for the free advice. So be it! They still get 2 stars for general lack of customer service. I like this chain-just not this location. read more

Every time I come to this location, I can't seem to find a single person to help me. I usually search for interesting sweeter "girly" ciders. I was in there last night and asked if the small section of cider was all they had in the store. The girl shrugged her shoulders and said "yeah, that's it." How about "what were you looking for?" or "Could I help you find something?" They are also ALWAYS out of my husband's fave beer. For the hassle of getting in and out of that parking lot, I would rather just take my chances finding something at the grocery store. read more

This is a pretty standard BevMo!. The store was organized and clean. I was able to find my Hendricks Gin and Four Roses Single Barrel without any issues. I would suggest becoming a ClubBev! member as you will get discounts on purchases. read more

I ordered a half keg for an event. Went to pick it up, waited for nearly an hour for them to tell me that they could not find my order. It turns out the so called "manager" (blue contact wearing guy) tagged the wrong keg. So I ended up having to pay extra to get a full keg, I was really irritated about this because this put me over my budget for my event and also very late. When it was all said and done I didn't even get an apology for their mistake. I will never order a keg for here again and I used to very frequently. read more
