These might appear to be too tiny, but man do they pack a punch! Tasty and strong I might add so definitely a sipping drink in my opinion. I found these fun tiny drinks at Total Wine & More in Poway. I was looking for something new and unique to try. I got these 3 for $10. It was a deal if you picked up three for ten which typically one drink can cost well over $10. During my shopping experience, I encountered some of the staff. Each one was really friendly and helpful. Gave me a few recommendations which I'll have to try in the future. It was my first time at this location so overall I enjoyed my shopping while discovering new drinks to try. read more

I had a great experience with Lisa Redwine at Total Wine. She was friendly, professional, and really took the time to understand what I was looking for. She found exactly what I wanted and made the whole process easy and stress-free. Thanks, Lisa! read more

I've been a loyal customer of Total Wine primarily the Mission Valley location, but my recent visit to the Carmel Valley store left me extremely uncomfortable and disappointed. On my way to San Marcos, I stopped in to pick up a few cigars. While browsing the Scotch section, specifically looking at a Dalmore 15, an employee approached me and greeted me. I politely responded and made it clear more than once that I did not need assistance. I prefer to shop independently, and if I need help, I will ask. Despite this, the employee continued trying to engage, ignoring my clear and respectful responses. At that point, I was already feeling pressured and just wanted to check out and leave. While waiting in line, the same employee approached me again and redirected me to another register, saying he could help me there. I agreed, expecting a straightforward checkout. Instead, the interaction became uncomfortable and frankly bizarre. He asked if I needed a cigar bag. I responded clearly: "Yes." Rather than proceeding normally, he paused, stared at me, and acted as if he did not understand my response. There was an awkward silence where he simply looked at me in a confused and almost performative way. At that moment, I had to say: "I think my English wasn't that bad saying 'yes' after you asked if I need a bag." His response was dismissive: "Oh no, I asked if you need a cigar bag."! This interaction felt unnecessary, patronizing, and inappropriate. What should have been a simple transaction turned into an uncomfortable experience that made me question whether I was being subtly mocked or tested over something as basic as saying "yes." This happened around 3:33 PM on a Saturday. what should have been a quick stop after a long week turned into a frustrating and unwelcome experience. For clarity, the employee's name was John. I expect better from a company like Total Wine. Customers should not feel pressured while browsing, nor should they be made uncomfortable during a basic checkout interaction. This kind of behavior reflects poorly on the store and needs to be addressed seriously. I hope corporate reviews this and takes appropriate action to ensure customers are treated with respect and professionalism. read more

I really love and respect this store because it has a wide selection of different drinks, including my favorites, which I always try to come here to buy. Total Wine is the best place! read more

Total Wine & More - Beer, Wine & Spirits Near Me - San Diego, California

They constantly overcharge compared to the prices listed on the floor. I've bought the same item three times over the past year, and each time I had to show a photo of the shelf price to avoid being charged more. If you're not paying attention, you might end up unknowingly "donating" extra money to Total Wine. It's baffling that they don't cross-check the shelf tag with the scanned price, even after the mistake has been pointed out so many times. So take a photo of every price tag--or be prepared to "tip" them inadvertently on your way out. Also, their ID policy is asinine. If you're with your spouse and they forget their ID, even if you have yours, no alcohol purchasing for you. But if you're with a child? No problem, come right through, the purchase is yours! read more

I so love this store! My husband love's the Robert Mondavi wine! It has taken us years to find this wine. One of the employees found this wine for me. What a gem! We will open this lovely bottle of wine on my husbands Birthday in April. The wine is smooth, crisp, no oak, pair with seafood, poultry, charcuterie, board, " cheeses & fruit such as, apricots, figs, pears, melon, Granny Smith apples, peaches." Enjoy Perfect for a spring & summer. This wine would be great as a White sangria too. It's a beautiful wine by its self! Shhhh The price is a steal! Enjoy! For the Chocolate wine. If you love chocolate, than this is the wine for you! It robust full of notes of chocolate, like you just took a bite of your favorite chocolate candy, smooth, decadent, no need to let it breath! Yes it's that silky smooth.. We so enjoy this wine! I am picking up 3 bottles soon! Yes it's that delicious! The price is so worth it! Aferdesiac . We haven't opened the Irish Cream yet. Waiting for Saint Patrick's Day to enjoy. read more

They have pretty much everything you could possibly be looking for, and if you don't you can probably still request it too.

I come here every few months and each time has been a great experience. I like going in the evenings, which is usually less crowded. The selection is amazing, as well as the staff, who are always so helpful and kind. I always learn something new. Next up, I hope to try one of their events. read more

Total Wine and More has a great, wide variety of alcoholic and non alcoholic items. They even have boozy ice cream now too! Super excited because I have seen ads for it but never wanted to pay the shipping and handling but now it is available right up the street. The store is huge, great lay out and very well lit. We have not been but I believe various vendors do tastings on the weekends. There is also a rather large room in the back where it looks like they hold webinars. The staff is always amazing, very friendly and helpful. read more

Nice Total Wine location in Carmel Valley. Not crowded on a weekday evening. Plenty of parking out front as well. This store feels new. Tall ceilings. Massive. Incredible selection and cleanliness. Good pricing. Service was average - neither great nor poor. Would definitely return when in the area! read more

The nice (young, but CLEARLY legal) African American lady (in a Post Office uniform) in front of me went thru waaaayyy too many minutes of the check out woman looking at her ID, just to buy one bottle of something. When she finally got checked out and went on her way, the check out woman turned around and made some snarky remarks to the older gentleman behind her (I'm assuming a manager-in a white shirt), laughed and turned around and was super polite to me. Not a good look. At all. Do better. read more

This a fairly new place here in Carmel Mountain area and is already populated. They have one of the best varieties in wine, spirits, cigars, mixers and more. For me, specially the collection Bourbon this place have is a jewel. However, for those who have non-drinking partners, make sure you come alone because with all the varieties, you will definitely spend a long time before deciding for one. read more

You guys are extremely helpful. There are people in the store that needed when needed.

Just love this place! Definitely join their app if you go there often. I get $5 off and a free wine gift bag each month with their app coupon and they have other decent coupons on their app. They have a large selection of wine, beer and hard liquor to choose from. Plus the staff is always very friendly and will help you navigate the app if needed. I tend to normally go to Costco for wine and beer for parties but Total Wine is often closer in location and sometimes the prices are actually cheaper than Costco and Bevmo. You won't find as many name brands but usually better deals. They do wine tastings for only 0.01+ donation but u have to go at the times the tasting center is open. If you are getting multiple winery direct (non name brand wines usually) def sign up for their app bc it's usually a deal like 15% off of 3 or more bottles. read more

This place is a mega store of alcohol with just about everything you could want, and it has very reasonable prices. The store offers great special coupons like $25 off a $75 purchase and a second coupon for $10 off with $50 purchase. There are tasting areas in the store and a tasting classroom in the back. Wow! If you wanted wine this is THE place to go. You will find entire sections and aisles of wine by varietals from $5 to $200. The selection choices are like no other place. Service here is very helpful and friendly. Free membership to the store earns you even more savings and coupons. Prices here were comparable to Costco, which is great pricing. read more

Total Wine & More - Mega wine store - Beer, Wine & Spirits Near Me - San Diego, California

We decided to stop in since we received a residential mailer along with a promo coupon of $10 of $50. This place is located right next to Nordys Rack in CMR. There are tons of signage and you're able to see the building from the main road. Tons of parking and there are spaces dedicated for pick up. I didn't know what to expect as a frequent Bevmo fan, but as soon as you walk in you're hit with a massive selection of so many alcohol selections. The amount of alcohol and varieties are massive! There's a wine tasting area (which wasn't open at the time of our visit) available and even expensive bottles that aren't locked up. My husband was ecstatic of their cab selection and I was enamored with all the bubbles. I got a couple bubbly bottles and my husband got a couple of nice cabs. You can seriously spend all day in this store with the amount of items they have. The staff was really friendly and asked if we found everything ok. We are definitely fans of this place and hope they open more locations in SD. Bevmo better watch out!!! read more

A manager? won't honor their price matching policy for total wine customers- that said, after a cashier informed me that they would be happy to price match a local grocery store! read more

Item label font is too small. Difficult to read without glasses or magnifier. Every other time I shop price at check out is not matching price on the floor even on pallets! (They recommend to take pictures of prices before checkout). Local beers are represented but not adequately. Beer prices are too high. No beer on sale at all. Therefore beers are on shelf for years. Do you like to drink old overpriced beer? (Always check the date of production). Variety of spirits is large, but I could not find few items like Frank August small batch bourbon. read more

The store is big, with lots of different stuff which you never find anywhere! But I still love going to costco or BevMo because the prices are very competitive! Their coupons are for some stuff that you will not find anywhere. I love $10 off of $50 from BevMo which is very valuable than buying other unknown stuff. Their rewards system is very bad, once you place an order and cancel it the rewards you have disappear, so the rewards is just a myth. Once you place and order and want to cancel it, it will be impossible to cancel it and will take more 2 to 3 weeks to get it cancelled. I don't buy lots of liquor but I am going to stick onto Costco and BevMo! read more

Best selection at the best prices. (Costco betters TW now and then price-wise, but obviously has far fewer selections from which to choose.) Just ignore the sales-folks (politely) who have agendas... As long as you know what you want and what the going price is...Ya' cain't beat it with a stick. ONE quibble: Foreign beer selection could be better...and... if you want soju/shochu or Asian beer... ...go to H-Mart, Zion or Mitsuwa instead! read more

Brand new location and they're still working out the kinks. The store is big like most of the Total Wines, very well organized, clean, the prices are always great. I could spend hours in here browsing and doing some wine tasting. I love coming here when it's hot outside because they have a walk-in beer cooler. This is usually my first stop because obviously it feels so good. Anyway they have a great craft beer selection with singles and they have a four and six pack section. I'm still waitng for them to get the wine chiller so I can chill my beers. Overall a great spot with great drinks for a good price! read more

I e-mailed about concerns over the singles beer section having outdated beers on 4/5/2024 and 3 1/2 weeks later, no response. This was the second time I had brought the issue to their attention. A manager contacted me the first time (maybe 4-6 months ago), but no resolution ever transpired. Thus, my follow-up to them. It is simply hard to believe that, with all the technology, there is no procedure for removing bad, outdated beer from the shelves...and then there's the lack of response to a customer concern. read more

Watch out Bevmo! Total Wine opened recently in Carmel mountain and has really brought shopping for provisions to a whole new level. Although I was a bit overwhelmed when I first walked in, their enormous selection is very easy to navigate. In the 15-20 minutes I was in here I was offered assistance by five different associates, so if you're having a hard time finding what you're looking for, chances are you won't even need to ask them before they ask you. On top of a phenomenal selection of alcohol, they also have a relatively well-stocked humidor. The cost of alcohol seemed competitive and the cost for cigars seems about average to what you'd find in a local brick and mortar cigar shop. I noticed that they do tasting on the weekend and I'd really like to come up and check that out sometime. This place seems like a well-oiled machine and I'm glad it opened up near my house. read more

Wow, came here because of coupons-no shame. I am not a big drinker but occasionally I like to have a lite vodka water or spiked seltzer. This place is massive and has at least 1000 options. This store is amazing ! Has everything you could possibly think of. Store is organized and easy to shop. It is honestly a beautiful store with the way the layout is set up making it easy to shop! I love the many options of champagne & the fact that they have mini möets that BevMo never has in stock. Prices are also a plus here compared to local competitors. Their whiskey selection was insane. I'm obsessed and will be returning for all future purchases of champagne, craft beer, wine & whiskey. Staff is also extremely friendly as they went out of their way to find me a new Veuve fridge. I love the customer service & how quick they met my needs, considering I had already purchased online and my order was ready within minutes. Worth the drive up north & happy they have a location in Mission Valley. read more
