Scammers. They stole money from me twice, and the man harasses my sister when she goes in alone so I have to walk in for her. Feels Awful.

They are over priced. Go to the place down the street for the same thing and they are $3 less in price

I found these fun tiny drinks at Total Wine & More in Poway. I was looking for something new and unique to try. I got these 3 for $10. It was a deal if you picked up three for ten which typically one drink can cost well over $10. During my shopping experience, I encountered some of the staff. Each one was really friendly and helpful. Gave me a few recommendations which I'll have to try in the future. It was my first time at this location so overall I enjoyed my shopping while discovering new drinks to try.

I've been a loyal customer of Total Wine primarily the Mission Valley location, but my recent visit…read moreto the Carmel Valley store left me extremely uncomfortable and disappointed. On my way to San Marcos, I stopped in to pick up a few cigars. While browsing the Scotch section, specifically looking at a Dalmore 15, an employee approached me and greeted me. I politely responded and made it clear more than once that I did not need assistance. I prefer to shop independently, and if I need help, I will ask. Despite this, the employee continued trying to engage, ignoring my clear and respectful responses. At that point, I was already feeling pressured and just wanted to check out and leave. While waiting in line, the same employee approached me again and redirected me to another register, saying he could help me there. I agreed, expecting a straightforward checkout. Instead, the interaction became uncomfortable and frankly bizarre. He asked if I needed a cigar bag. I responded clearly: "Yes." Rather than proceeding normally, he paused, stared at me, and acted as if he did not understand my response. There was an awkward silence where he simply looked at me in a confused and almost performative way. At that moment, I had to say: "I think my English wasn't that bad saying 'yes' after you asked if I need a bag." His response was dismissive: "Oh no, I asked if you need a cigar bag."! This interaction felt unnecessary, patronizing, and inappropriate. What should have been a simple transaction turned into an uncomfortable experience that made me question whether I was being subtly mocked or tested over something as basic as saying "yes." This happened around 3:33 PM on a Saturday. what should have been a quick stop after a long week turned into a frustrating and unwelcome experience. For clarity, the employee's name was John. I expect better from a company like Total Wine. Customers should not feel pressured while browsing, nor should they be made uncomfortable during a basic checkout interaction. This kind of behavior reflects poorly on the store and needs to be addressed seriously. I hope corporate reviews this and takes appropriate action to ensure customers are treated with respect and professionalism.

I know most of the staff by name and they are all equally polite, friendly and helpful. Parking is shared with several other businesses but is usually not a problem. Not as large as some supermarkets, and not stocked with many national brands, but adequate to our needs if it was the only food store we patronized. Produce is outstanding, both organic and not, cheeses and meats are great, as are specialty items like quiches, sandwiches, soups and salads. There are hot food bars, rotisserie chickens, large urns of fresh soups, breads and other pastries, canned goods and dry, a very nice wine selection and multitudes of frozen goods.

There is a stand, two tiers high, of choice olive oils and vinegars in beautiful stainless steel pots, with spigots, that shine in the reflection of the ceiling lights. Exciting they carry off top tier, yet their prices are more reasonable than the chain supermarkets. I wish I would've bought a canvas shopping bag. I would've shown that bag off with style! The baked goods are priced so well, I literally thought it was mid-marked! Staff is always busy but helpful when approached. If you get a chance to shop here, do it!!

They always have yummy new stuff to try and even have samples which are usually delicious. Great prices on almost everything and I love that there are no food dyes in anything. As a mom of 4 its so helpful that they unload the cart for you and bag everything. The checkout people are always friendly and my kids even love coming for the free lollipops after finding the hidden horse. If you have any questions about the new products they always do their best to help. This is one grocery store I feel like I leave in a better mood than when I came lol! Even though we usually check out with a huge cartful, no one ever makes it feel like its a burden. Love Trader Joe's, and this location is definitely one of the best I've been to!

Always a must to find omiyage to bring home. Didn't see any of the small size popular trader Joe totes or tiny insulated bags. Fortunately I've gotten two different ones from Yelp Elites Iris and Jackie in the past.
