CHECK I.D. AT THE DOOR BEFORE ENTRY!!! If I could give this place 0 stars I would! You don't treat a paying customer with disrespect no matter what. BevMo has a serious issue with I.d.ing their customers. I spent over 25 min looking for new imports to buy when I finally did and it came time to pay I was told to have my i.d. scanned! My girlfriend and cousin were with my at the time as well. He asked for my cousins i.d. he showed it and was also scanned! My girlfriend doesn't have her I.d. yet so bc of this we were unable to purchase. It's not the law and it's not against the law to scan but sometimes without knowing scans can provide very personal information, including social security info! Besides not being able to pay I felt like it was a huge waste of my time walking around for nearly half an hour just to get to the front to be told I can't purchase because one person in my party didn't have their i.d. After arguing with the kid employee and speaking my mind very sternly I spoke to the manager to see why we all had to be carded. She explained it to us and for obvious reasons you can imagine why. I argued that their are parents that let their kids drink and could easily let them run around and point out what they want for their parents to buy for them. You don't check a child's I.d. So it's the perfect cover up. Anyone can do that if they look older than the people their with?? It makes no sense. I'm 21 but if I walked in with my 12 year old brother and let's say hypothetically I let him drink, I could let him pick what he wants and I could buy it for him easy. It's a flawed system. I was buying German import beer and brandy for myself. If it was for a party or for minors you wouldn't be seeing a fat bottle of brandy and German pilsner. You'd see white claws, truly, and cheap vodka or tequila. I'm a connoisseur of imports and this experience made me never want to walk into a BevMo again. Although I did go to another establishment right after being denied, same situation but this time in my hometown of Escondido CA and guess what? I was the only one carded and I bought the same stuff with the same people. Total bullocks! BevMo can't stay consistent. The whole time at the second BevMo I was just waiting for the cashier to ask for my cousins and girlfriends i.d. But he didn't. He onto asked for mine since I was paying and we left no problem. The manager at the first BevMo in Carmel valley said," we are all trained to check everyone's I.d. that walks through this door unless it's a parent and child for obvious reasons." It's all bullshit. Carmel valley BevMo is in a white neighborhood and the other BevMo where I had no problem at all getting the same exact things with the same exact people I had been with is in Escondido California predominately Mexican, black, native and white. I am African American, my girlfriend is latina and my cousin is white. BEVMO CARMEL VALLEY IS DISCRIMINATORY. BEVMO AS A WHOLE CORPORATION NEEDS TO CHECK I.D. AT THE DOOR TO STOP PARENTS OR EVEN OF AGE KIDS TRYING TO BUY FOR MINORS. I can just think of 1,000 different ways to cheat their system but walking in with a friend to case the joint for what they want you to buy is old school, outdated and doesn't work anymore. I don't even have friends that are that stupid they'd tried casing a BevMo for what they want. Theirs liquor stores around, BevMo isn't the only play for Alcohol. BevMo also has an online menu! So even if we were to do something like that I'd have my friend go on the website and look up what they want and I'd go in myself and get it. Thanks for making feel stupid BevMo. Thanks for making it seem like I was trying to buy for underage kids. Yea like I'm dumb enough to buy expensive brandy and imported beer from Germany for a bunch of underage kids. Sure.... read more

I'm a new intstacart shopper, and Kyle helped me complete my order in great time! He is a very friendly guy, and showed me the layout of the store. The store itself is very clean, and well organized. I couldn't have asked for a better BevMo experience. read more

Beverages and More really can be the best place to find all of your liquor needs. I've been going to this chain ever since they first showed up on the West Coast and they generally have pretty decent prices. Most of all though, you can find pretty much any type of liquor or wine. The selection is good. I'm giving this location 3 stars because it is definitely smaller than other ones I've been to and they don't have the free cheese samples. read more

Kyle was super friendly and made the online ordering for pick up easy. I showed up not knowing it was only delivery or pick up. I only wanted to get one item, he showed me how to order online and I was able to pick it up in ten minutes! Painless experience read more

I now feel inspired to party. -1 star for some of the more outrageous prices & misinformation. I like that smaller American companies are stepping up to try to make things like 10x distilled vodka, but with that said I really wanted to find a greater variety of Russian/Poland imports; not a variety of Smirnoff & Absolute. With that said, this is like an alcohol wherehouse which = AWESOME!! read more

Came in this afternoon. Staff here was professional, personable, & knowledgable. Great location. Great selection. I always choose this Bevmo! read more

This store is right off the freeway. It's very convenient. I wanted to come here just to get the mamamango mascoto but they didn't have it. There were other mascotos but I only want that one. The staffs we very friendly and helpful though. read more

These guys have it down during such a crazy time! Thanks so much for an awesome experience & great customer service! You all ROCK!!

Used to love this store before they turned into a grocery store. Since then the selection is not as good, can't find things they used to have, and the prices have gone up. read more

In last week's episode, our philistine hero procured a beer bong assembly from Chris the Artful of the vast and wondrous land of Home Depot. There was, however, one last obstacle to an inebriating social occasion: large quantities of beer. The Carmel Mountain BevMo is conveniently located just off the 15 as a mecca for high volume purchasers of alcohol. Some of the cheapest kegs around, a 5% discount off your next order after you've accumulated $250 in purchases, and the ability to order online before you pick up from the location attract booze hounds to this store. Over a hundred different kegs can be found here with sizes ranging from 5L bubba kegs to 15 gallon 1/2 bbl kegs, and with varieties of beer ranging from Michelob to Young's Double Chocolate Stout. Customer service is great at this store and the employees are very helpful. When our hero bought over a dozen different bottles of craft brews, they packed them neatly in a cardboard box with dividers to keep them from clinking together. They offer help loading and unloading kegs from vehicles as well. This store also had Affligem Abbey Ale Tripel on sale, a splendid Belgian that ranks in our hero's favourites. Karl Strauss and other common kegs were well stocked as well. It is a bit alarming how fast our hero is racking up points towards that 5% discount. PROS: - Wide selection of uncommon beers. - Although they recommend you purchase kegs 4 days in advance, they can show you what kegs they have available on hand for same day purchase. Their refrigerated keg cage is located right behind the cold beer cooler through an "employees only" gate that the staff can take you through. CONS: - Fairly pricey. Definitely no discounts on any of the "regular" beer you'd find on tap at a ball game. read more

I like Bev Mo ... i often forget it's right by my house. Because of Bev Mo, i have discovered that there is other wine in the world besides 2 buck Chuck. Also, they have decent wine tastings on weekends! the end read more

Seriously this is my favorite Bevmo out of the ones I go to the most, even though this one may be about 15+ miles away from my house. Granted I grew up around here and this was the first Bevmo I visited... I'm not sure if this one is bigger than Escondido's location but it seems to have more things in stock which is a big plus when I'm trying to find something. Prices are just like at any other Bevmo. They have those 5cent wine sales, various discounts, as well as wine and beer tastings on some days of the week. Some things are way up there in price range and some are budget-friendly (aka: college student budget). Most excellent. Service is on point as with Escondido so I'm pretty good there. The only thing I wish they had was a larger fridge area for cold beverages. There's not enough cold wines and beers here as compared to Escondido. Parking isn't too hard to get unless you happen to get there around Halloween time because apparently EVERYONE wants to get a costume next door at Party City. They do share the area with popular businesses like Party City and Baskin Robbins, and parking spots are funky. If beer and wine aren't your thing, they have some creative sodas to try (I wouldn't get the ranch dressing soda...omg gross) but Leninade among a few others are my favorite. read more

.05 wine sale. Awwwwlriiiight. Few things are more dazzling to me than someone who knows a lot about wine. I don't know why, it's just friggin' amazing to me. After a lengthy lesson from a staffer I chose two bottles, 1 red, 1 white...a matching pair of each and because Trader Joe's was out of whole pickles, a single pickle. I'm enjoying the wine but that pickle was disgusting. I took one bite and spit it in the sink. It was so nasty that the smell of it in the garbage pail was making me nauseous. I had to take out a half full garbage bag. -2 stars. Blech! read more

I wish I lived near a BevMo. I would spend a lot more time intoxicated, but at a discount. They have so many good craft brews here..and wine...and fancy shmancy alcohol. Why, I bet there's so much you could do with a bottle of walnut liqueur. They even have cheese and a nice non-alcoholic drink selection. read more

If there's an alcohol or a beer you can't find elsewhere, they probably have it here. I wish this chain would expand to Las Vegas because I've always liked this place. Last time I picked up a black cherry vodka for under $10. The time before that I got a six pack of a rare beer. I did always find it funny that there was a Party City next door, though. Kids to the right, adults to the left. read more

I hate coming to these sorta places... Why? Cause I want to buy every drink that I've never seen before and try it out! I have never gone into one without spending at least 35 dollars on drinks read more

I will keep this short and sweet. Great selection, service and they match prices to other stores. Jackson has helped me out on more than one occasion for trying to find a good IPA. A good place to pick up a last minute gift basket around the holidays as well. read more

Prices? Not too shabby Selection? Pretty darn good. What else to you want from a liquor store? You a beer Nerd? The beer selection is fairly impressive, everything you would expect, some things you hope for and a few surprises. It is worth checking out. read more

This isn't BevMo anymore. It used to be fantastic, but now it's half grocery store. There is far less alcohol, and almost zero seasonal beer (in the fall!). I was a huge fan, but I'll be taking my business elsewhere. They rearranged the store and it simply makes no sense, if you've shopped there before. Not sure what happened or what "go puff" is, but I do know it's not for me. Sad to see you go, BevMo. read more

Good selection! But- we asked about renting a tap for a keg we had and were told it was a $50 deposit. When we went up to the register we learned that we actually could not rent one unless we also rented a keg from BevMo because people were not bringing them back. Instead of punishing your shoppers- maybe you should just start carrying these taps and selling them in the stores? They're only worth about as much as the deposit anyway! We had to go to a different business all the way in Miramar to obtain one when BevMo seems like exactly the place we should've been able to. Appreciative that an employee at BevMo told us about this option though! read more

Easy breezy! Needed to order a birthday gift for a friend. Found out the Bevmo delivers and called. Spoke to Matt. 5 minutes later, all set. Love great customer service!! read more

Whoever the rude man is who worked tonight (March 3rd) has the worst customer service. I walked in at 857pm and he yells "you have two minutes until we close." Well I'm in the store so I'm going to find what I need to find. He replies "Well we're not licensed to sell alcohol after 900pm." Fast forward to 902pm, I go to check out at the register and she processes my order as normal. So either he lied to me to get me to rush out of the store or he just violated the law!! Either way, totally rude. It doesn't matter if I'm stepping foot inside your store first thing in the morning or last thing at night, there's no need to be a jerk. I'm a paying customer. Cheers! read more

Wines and liquors and beers, oh my! If my brother and I are tapped out of homebrew and want to grab a couple local craft beers to try out, this is our stop. If you're looking for it, they probably have it. If they don't have it, they can probably order it for you. It's clean, and they have all your drinking-related essentials, as well. Glasses, snacks, wine aerators, etc. They have periodic sales (buy a bottle of wine, get a second for $0.05, that sort of thing), so you can wait for those to spring up before you stock your cellar. read more

This place is dangerous! So much good stuff and so little time. The prices are OK and the selection is great. It's like Costco for beer/wine/liquor read more

5 stars for Alfred!!!! I am getting married next month so we came in to pick up champagne. Unfortunately Bevmo no longer carries the one we wanted! Alfred came to the rescue! He swooped in, contacted the stores in SD to see if they had any left on their shelves. Called me 3 days later and recommended a really good alternative. So we bought 2 cases of it! Customer service A+ read more

BevMo is the place for all of your alcoholic needs! The selection of wine and beers is exquisite. It's difficult to only stay for a few minutes because something new will always catch your eye. read more

Great selection of beers, wines, and other various drinks. They also have a good selection of various waters and snack items to go with a party type setting. Plus they price match and you can get a membership card for discounts on various items. I don't drink alcohol, but if I did I would shop here. I come and get snacks and some of the waters here. Great service and smiles. read more

$5 cent sale! You can find almost anything there. Sales people are helpful and it is close to home. I like it.

Great selection of local craft brews! Especially Ballast Point and Green flash. They have 4 different kinds of Ale Smith 22 bottles too. And I highly recommend the 6 pack reusable tote. On sale now for $.79! read more

Came in looking for a sour beer. Sam was beyond helpful and friendly. He picked out a great sour and was able to give us a personal review. His enthusiasm was awesome and really got me and my boyfriend interested in this new sour we had never tried. read more

Holy Selection! They absolutely have it all here, and the price is right in most cases. Was looking for Pastis for ever, and they are the only ones who had any stock, with several options, beer selection is also hard to top, and they have Bells (beer) well stocked, with all the seasonal brews (also extremely rare to find outside of the midwest). Yes, thank You BevMo! read more

Huge selection of booze!! They got everything you would ever want for a fun night! FYI CVS sometimes has lower prices so BevMo will price match. read more

Had the family over for the Christmas and New year period. Needed alcohol. Obviously. Popped in here and was in awe at the amount of stuff they had available- beers from around the world, all different tequilas and vodkas and also wines. The wines were pricier than those in the supermarket but of course I suspect they were also of higher quality. Given that I am happy with 2$ wine that section was pretty much avoided. Some items are discounted if you are a member of Bevmo- membership is free. A no brainer. There is a selection of novety glasses, they also sell some party foods such as cheeses and smoked meats. Only thing I would be wary of is that if you are buying in bulk you are more likely to get a better deal in a supermarket. read more

This is a great store with super friendly management and staff, not to mention the best bev selection in the area. Yes there's pricey stuff, but also very wallet friendly options as well. In fact the variety is much better than any of the local grocers or nearby Costco. My only complaint is that they close at 9, so you have to be reasonable in your last minute bev hoarding! read more

Love just happening to pop in to here to find out that the $0.05 sale is on. Its like sending a wino into a candy store. Well this store had there wines setup and organized so if I was looking for red or whites They were segregated in a good way that is... They made sure I was able to find everything I needed as well. If the line gets long here they will open up to get you out! read more

Excellent selection at BevMo. This is the one spot where I can definitely find Dr. Brown's black cherry soda -- among other flavors. The service is always fine here. And this tip: be sure to get a BevMo card. Helps keep costs down at checkout. read more

Lots of cool goodies and wine; was hoping for a better wine glass selection, but whateva. The coolest thing I saw was the little mini size bottles of just about every type of alcohol. Like the size you'd get on airline. They look just like the regular size bottles, but Barbie sized. Grey Goose, Makers Mark, just everything. The next time I come here I'm gonna pick up like one of each and make the best stocked mini bar fridge for my guest room EVER! read more

Love coming here for the special brews and specialty alcohol that you can't find at a normal grocery store. They have the most unique items that you can find. Super easy to find, right off of the 15 freeway and carmel mountain road exit. The employees here are super nice and helpful when you are looking for something specific in the store. read more

You have to applaud the variety of beers this place has. I usually end up spending a good half hour in the store because I never know what to pick out. They sell single bottles as well as other quantities, so it has everything a liqueur store can offer . I am glad they also have different varieties of Avery, which usually ends up being my choice. The staff is always welcome to questions and has recommendations if you just ask them. The store policy is that they don't take IDs from other states, which in my mind does not make sense. However, if you talk to the right cashier, that should not be a problem most of the time. I do have to say that it is also a bit on the pricey side. I guess that's the convenience cost you pay for having so many varieties in one place, but still. read more

Largest selection of wine, liquor, and beer that i've seen under one roof. They always have sales here, so you can find good deals. Hopefully, it's that drink you were wanting in the first place.
