I'm shocked by this business' practices. They had a buy one get one for .05 cents sale, but wouldn't honor the price for a product at check out. I found Captain Morgan's Spiced Rum for sale at a buy one get one for .05 cents price. It would have been $20.04 for two bottles at that price. I went to check out, but it rang up for $32 and sone change. I talked to the cashier and she walked back to the display, confirmed the BOGO price as advertised, and called her manager. The manager apologized, made some excuse, then said he would give me a coupon bringing the price to $27 and some change, but he wouldn't honor the actual BOGO price. I'm just shocked. Besides just poor customer service, bait and switch advertising is illegal. read more

I go into BevMo every day the workers have never seen so I assumed they worked in back for go puff, I placed my I.D. On the counter and the worker told her manager that I threw it at her when he walked up and when he arrived he wouldn't give me his name and just walked off, I already paid for my purchase and they attempted to kick me out without a refund or my product. They refused to give me my stuff or a refund so I reached across the counter and took it, then the employee tried to say I assaulted her while on phone with the police which is a false report. I never made a physically aggressive or verbal move towards the worker or anybody for that matter. This is the most disrespectful thing that has ever happened to me in my hometown. read more

I was on the hunt for a particular kind of cherry liquor for a drink I was making and they had it. No problem.

BevMo's management is inconsistent with price matching. Website states price matching but depending on which manager you get they do not price match. Example Meomi Pinot Noir is $13.97 at Total Wine. I showed the price on my phone. BevMos tag price on shelf shows $19.99 but when she scanned it the price was $24.99 Please beware of their pricing. First off price tags on shelf will not always be accurate. Secondly she stated that she couldn't price match the $13.97 but was willing to give it to me for $15.60??? That's not price matching. If your store reads reviews you may want to figure this bullshit out. I told her that I've never been charged $15.60 and managers have always price matched and she stated that she does it correctly and the other managers do not follow rules! This happened today Sunday, September 21st. Not to worry though I'll definitely go back to Total Wine & More. Their pricing always beats your pricing by ALOT! read more

They have wines, beers, tequilas, vodkas, etc. they also have (overly priced) snacks, games, and accessories. Shoutout(s): to the wide selection of alcohol. You could really travel the world where through alcohol LOL. Location review: I love it. It's a treat to have a niche store like this in our area. Service: the service is great. Even the security guard offered to help me find my wines. Everyone is usually super helpful and willing to give you their honest opinion on their alcohol preferences. They make the place feel welcoming. Expectations: I expected to pay a lot for the drinks I wanted, but they had alternatives at a more competitive price. For example, if you want a $60 dollar Chardonnay, they have $8 Chardonnays or $150 Chardonnays. The point is they give you options. Improvements: maybe lower the price on snacks. I was here doing a little shopping, getting a gift for a family member and I noticed a supervisor or manager telling a young lady of color at the register that she couldn't use the bathroom and he walked off to the back and then, as he walked off, the young lady was standing in a puddle of urine so she end up cleaning it up and he never let her go to the bathroom and she ended up leaving. I hope she don't lose her job behind this guy. Please be safe in his beverage and more. He has a anger problem surprised he still working here. I like taking advantage of sales, which fortunately happens often. I like the convenience of their location and the free parking, but I think the best part of this particular BevMo is the staff. This place is total one stop shopping if you need adult beverages and other accompaniments. The staff was super helpful as two of the items I was shopping for were in a locked case, thankfully you just have to hit a button on the case and it will alert staff that you need help so no need to hunt down someone. Staff was also really friendly and helpful since it was my first time here. They had a really great selection of stuff very organized. If you're looking for adult drinks or perhaps other garnishments etc for a party this place is a great option. Also they had Zapps potato chips which was an unexpected bonus find. read more

Awesome Hard Ciders But Also A "DESPERATE" Outlet for $2+ 2-Liter Bottles of Diet Pepsi SITREP Eh. You WIN some and you LOSE some. This place is for alcohol clearly. Great deals on Beers (LOTS of brews, micro-brews, etc.), Wines, Hard Ciders (my main reason for coming here) and assortments of other things. But when it comes to Soda, Chips, Cheeses, munchies-in-general, I really suggest you keep on going down 19th Street and hit the Safeway instead, because the prices will *hit* ya in the face here! Probably the most expensive cheese selection I've seen in Midtown - more than Safeway, Trader Joes, and Grocery Outlet combined. THE SETUP What is outstanding about this place is.......I CAN WALK HERE! Bevmo is a mere 5 blocks from my front door, so if I need something QUICK, it's just a short power walk away! 5 cent wine sale...such a dangerous slogan. I come here for 1 thing...The Buccaneer. By far, my favorite wine on the planet...AND...it's part of the 5 cent wine sale. For $40, I picked up 4 bottles. What a deal. Great location. Lots of parking. Customer service is irrelevant here to me because I head straight for my vino...pay...and leave. My only complaint? Lady at the register crashed my bottles against the counter. No harm done. Bottles are still intact. Whew. read more

I dig BevMo. It falls somewhere between Total Wine, which I consider the mother of all liquor stores, and a local shop with the occasional peculiar brand on the shelves. Overall, the staff has been friendly on every visit. When I last stopped in, an enthusiastic guy was happy to chat about whiskeys with me and gave me a good education on some of the bourbons I was unfamiliar with. The shelves are well stocked and the prices comparable to what you'd find most other places, although I'd say there are better deals at Total Wine and especially Costco. read more

I wanted to bring a few bottles of good wine to celebrate with friends for a reunion event. When it comes to wine, I am completely clueless and also on a budget. Fortunately someone (I forgot the guy's name) from this BevMo helped me out with picking a decent white for appetizer, 2 great reds from Napa and Bordeaux for dinner, and a great bottle of champage to toast at the end. BevMo is the one stop shop for Mixers, Liquor, Beer, Wine and drinking related gifts and paraphernalia. Its strange b/c I always forget to hit up BevMo for beer even though it's down the street from my house. But they have an amazing selection of microbrews and they carry some local ones that are harder to find - all in one place. There are 4 or 5 aisles filled with beers from local Sacramento breweries like Track 7 to West Coast faves like Ballast Point and The Bruery to beers from all over the world. It would be nice to see some more unique beers from Japan (like Hitachino Nest) and Canada (Tofino Brewery) to even some of the smaller breweries in other parts of the US but I'm sure they are harder to get due to distribution. Of course their wine selection is incredible and it's very organized so you can find your favorite varietal pretty quickly - picking out a single bottle might take a bit longer though b/c they do have a HUGE selection but that's a good thing. Prices are comparable to other stores and they have sales often. Easy parking b/c they have a lot which is needed in midtown. read more

I just experienced one of the most Kafkaesque scenarios in my entire life of shopping... I walked half mile to Bevmo to buy replacement cartridges for my Juul. Mind you, as an ATTORNEY, my time literally equals money so I personally and professionally expect prompt and accurate service. Moreover, as an ATTORNEY, if a store advertises a product I reasonably expect it to be available for purchase because that is the basic premise of Contract Law which is also the linchpin for what legal scholars deem "a well ordered society"... Unfortunately, my experience with Bevmo today felt like a kick to the balls. Indeed, it feels like Lady Justice herself got ravaged. Upon arrival to Bevmo, I was informed that I cannot purchase Juul replacement cartridges directly at the store. Instead, I can only order them through a so called "Go Puff" application. Thus, I literally had to download an application to order Juuls from GoPuff to be picked up at the store and then hand delivered to me outside in the parking lot... I went to this BevMo location last night July 2nd at around 8:50pm. As I was signing up for the rewards the cashier Raven checked out the two people that were behind me who had quite a bit of items. Meanwhile, the screen still said "waiting for authorization" after I had already scanned MY card. The people left and I paid for my items. I woke up this morning to TWO charges, one from the people that were behind me and my own. This was extremely unprofessional on Ravens part and I am extremely upset that I was charged for someone else's transaction that was well over $200. read more

Who wouldn't like bevmo? They have a very large selection of wine beer and cheeses! They also have everything that is needed to make a nice alcoholic mixed drink! Something fruity and light perhaps? So, I came in today and there were rows and rows of drinks to go through! Oooh, the selections! There were almost so many that I personally had a hard deciding what I would want. Today was more of a looker loo day though, just to see what they have and kind of take inventory because i really don't drink unless it's a weekend or special occasion. So I will probably be back soon. This place is always an amazing place to wonder around and see what they have. Midtown got super lucky with this store. When I lived in Auburn, the store there had the same awesome GM. He's at this location now, and it definitely shows. Staff here are trained with the same level of knowledge and professionalism. Everyone knows by now that Total has a better business model, but I still prefer this store's proximity, staff, and yes, the selection. I'm hoping Bevmo learns how to keep up with the competitive pricing that Total offers eventually. They do have their 5 cent wine sale every so often. Used to be every two months, but I'm not sure now. That sale does offer some yummy brands if you're choosy and pay attention. Anything above a 90 on the point scale is usually reliable. 95 and above is Love in a Bottle. A few little known tips about this, and most bigger Bevmo locations: Sale/Clearance shelf toward the back of the store is usually stuffed with off season merch for cheap. Many a good quality pub glass for $.99 can be found therein. Check exp dates. Don't see something you want? Ask about special orders. There's a booth by the store entrance. You can mosey over there and ask the person behind it about what you want and reasonable availability. Shirt color usually indicates something. Green is regular staff, Maroon is either someone who is a wine expert or Sommelier, and Black usually means it's the store manager, who should also be at that level. However, if there's a sale on, everyone might be wearing the same obnoxiously colored shirts, so this would be useless info. All in all, GREAT location for midtown residents. Really really really wish they could sell the little Good Times on the Airplane Minis, but nope. Stores outside of Sacramento have them, thankfully. read more

At last - a Bevmo that I don't have to drive 30 minutes to get to! We stopped in last week to get some weekend "supplies" and to see what they'd done with the ol' Beat. It's hilarious to me that I used to spend hours poring over used CDs, records, and tapes, feeling the excitement well up in my chest as I found awesome deals, and now, a decade later, I'm doing the same thing in the same building, but with booze! The layout is nice and they seem to have most of the expected Bevmo products at decent prices. Helpful friendly service, clean sparkling store, and a nice selection of cheeses! I don't know why people are giving this BevMo a bad review. It baffles me. Every single time I've been here I have had a positive experience. And it's been more than a couple visits. You guys have amazing customer service. Especially the Friday day time crew! Yesterday I lost my wallet something I've never done. I lost my cool. It was there. A kind stranger turned it in! The staff was so nice about it. They held it there in the safe for me. Everything was still accounted for! For my wedding we rented some kegs from a local brewery. Through all the stress of planning a wedding we somehow forgot to make sure they came with taps. Day of wedding (approx 3 hours before) we found out they do not! BevMo had them! They saved the wedding! And they were so cheap to rent! Customer service is hard. You guys do a great job. Maybe those who have issues should be a little nicer to people in the service industry. I don't know about you, but soon as I walk in here I'm hungry. You know you ware going to walk out with a drink, but this place really upsells their snacks and makes me want to take a ton home. I love their selection of sodas, it's nothing like the supermarket. The selection is fun and useful. They have cool names and labels and can be quite tasty. I wish they would have more deals on soda, juice, and mixers. I love that this place has it's own parking lot. It's a huge plus when you are trying to cart a lot out and don't want to drop anything. Placed an order using BevMo's handy 'pick up window' choice. Noted we were requesting the order be chilled in the notes. Arrived at the stated time and the order had neither been pulled nor chilled. Manager on duty said that if we wanted to be sure future online orders were prepared for pickup we should call and speak to the manager on duty. He took no responsibility for it not getting pulled or chilled, just shrugged and said "I wasn't on duty then". read more

This is a great little Bevmo in the downtown/midtown area of Sacramento. It's a very new location and the staff are very helpful and cheery. They were more than happy to show me around and help me in finding the bourbon that I was looking for. I would gladly visit this location, simply based on customer service. Pro tip: there are meters surrounding the Bevmo. Don't chance it and try to park without paying. I see parking attendants around here all the time watching the meters and ticketing. read more
