They run out of items and fail to restock in a timely manner. Their prices are higher than other BEVMO's and other liquor outlets.

Just came here moments ago with my two sons 12 and 13, I am typically someone who drinks energy drinks. BevMo was the only store that had a specific energy drink in stock.They are obviously non-alcoholic. The cashier proceeded to ask my two sons for ID's like come on. They are children. The sign clearly stated, "no one under 21 is allowed UNLESS accompanied with a adult or guardian." They should clearly Remove the last part if they won't sell it to an adult, with their kids. The part that really makes my blood boil is how rude she was. Just disrespectful, how she snatches the energy drinks in front of me and says "I can't sell to you, they are minors". She uncalled for put my son on the spot asking for an ID. Just do better. My son felt as if he was the problem. read more

I really don't ever leave reviews but I'm very shocked at what happened . Went in with my cousin and bf (21+) majority of what we had was party supplies and had one case of the "sex on the beach" shots the guy asked for all of our IDs i didn't bring mine bc i wasn't buying anything i just came for the ride. He said he couldn't process the transaction bc i didn't have my ID!! I wasn't even paying ! I've never been anywhere we're they ask everyone for their ID. He brings his manager some guy with long curly hair rude saying yeah we just can't sell it to you. But we saw a guy with two kids purchase a whole case of beer. Bevmo all together is a terrible store. My husband and I went into this store to get water because it was hot and we were very thirsty. We go to the register and I get asked for my ID but I am under 21, my husband is of age but because he came in with me when I'm under age we could not make a purchase. read more

I've been to several BevMos in my lifetime lol & I've never had amazing customer service like this one. So much so that Im writing this in my car after I just left.Nicholas was so polite to every person he came in contact with &was very personable. I asked for a patron bottle at checkout & the gentleman who grabbed it for me was very nice too and very knowledgeable, I overheard him helping customers pick a good tequila. I've been coming to this location forever and always get great customer service. Tonight the ladies in charge seemed in dire need of some refresher training. One register open with four other employees walking around chatting with each other while the line to check out grew. The customers at the register must have been friends with some of them because they were there chatting for more than 10 minutes while another employee came over to join them. Another register finally opened up but she acted like she had better things to do. My turn up and I just had an order to pick up. Had my info ready and was cordial. She brings a closed box to the counter, says there ya go and starts to walk to the other register where they are still chatting. I tell her I want to check the order first before I take it and she says go ahead it's right there, points to the box and walks away. Nice. read more

Not the same. The beer tastings and wine tastings seem to feature what they want to get rid of instead of what is interesting or good like in the past. Stock is good but employees don't seem to have the same level of knowlegde in as in years past. Would rather support Olive Market, Gerrards or Paxton's Cellars and get some customer service. Ahhhhh Beverages & More.. aka BevMo!...how I adore thee. For those of you who don't know of this glorious place, BevMo is - simply put - a liquor store on crack! This one in Redlands is local to me, and is located in Redlands' Citrus Plaza just off the 30/330 juncture near the 10 Freeway. More aptly though, its paradise for those over 21 and who appreciate a large selection of beer, wines and other spirits. And *large* is the key word here. Their selection is incredible. Their beers and wines are arranged by type and geography. Most of their wines also have descriptions of what to expect in the way of taste. Their selection of hard liquors is also spectacular. I'm a Tequila man, myself - and I find their selection of this Blue Agave nectar to be verrrrrry nice. What's also really cool is that even if you don't drink; there's a fine selection of specialty sodas and non-alcoholic drinks as well as gourmet cheeses, crackers and meat snacks. If your planning a party or want to stock your own bar up a bit - go find a BevMo near you and go to town. They even have wine clubs for the vinophile in all of us. read more

If I can rate it lower I would. Went today to try them out for some cigars. I usually go to Total Wine and More, but I wanted to give them a chance to win my business. They told me I couldn't go inside. I had to order what I wanted online and then they would go and pull it for after everyone else's stuff was done first. I will never go back. Can't really count on the staff to know what's going on here. I've called several times to ask about certain drinks only to be told they didn't have it, but then to walk in and find it myself. The manager has always been nice, maybe a little overwhelmed but definitely a good guy, it's the other staff. I like my beer and my whiskey, and some are more rare than others. I get it that inventory and deliveries aren't always exact, but for the love of God just take a second to look on the shelf and then maybe I won't keep "bugging" you. 3 times now this has happened. I've learned to roam the store and only ask for assistance where needed (getting behind the glass). One guy tried to talk to me about whiskey, laugh at me about how terrible my choices were, only to then be laughed at himself by a fellow customer who over heard the convo and myself because it was obvious he was full of it. I don't care if you don't know whiskey, it's sadly a dying drink of choice. But don't bs me on my area and my drinks, just to make yourself seem bigger than you are to us. Too bad we don't have a total wine and more out here. They have better prices, bigger selection, and staff who know wtf is going on. read more

These guys have great service, and a great selection of liquors (especially the novelty stuff like Parfai Amour; Chartreuse, etc...). What knocks them down from 5 stars is that they have INCREDIBLY HIGH PRICES, and their "club" offers a measly 5% off a purchase after you've dropped $200 there. I hate to nit-pick (no I don't), but you can get the same good booze and service at their rival...Out of respect for Bevmo, I won't mention their name. However, if you have cash to blow, and Bevmo is right by you, then you can't do much better than dealing with their intelligent, friendly, helpful crew. I consider BevMo the magical place in between a drug store and a mid-tier specialty liquor wholesaler. They have a decent selection of wines and vodkas in the $20~$100 range, but if you're looking for anything along the lines of a Hibiki 21yr., Louis XIII, Kauffmann, or a Gran Centenario Leyenda Extra Anejo, you'd best look elsewhere. If you're looking for a great selection of wines or a large array of craft/specialty brewery beers to blow the minds of party guests, then there's definitely no other place I'd go to than here. read more

We ordered our alcohol for our daughter's June 28, 2014 wedding. We were given an appointment to taste several different red and white wines as well as champagne. The help we were given in choosing the right amount of alcohol was perfect. We saved a lot of money by making selections from the wine that was on sale for buy pine get one for 5 cents. We had enough wine and beer for the evening, with just a little bit leftover. I liked how the alcohol was chilled, delivered to our venue, and set up. No worries or hassles. read more

I've been to Bevmo many times with my family members who are over the age of 21 to get drinks for THEM, not once have I ever been ID because I was not the one purchasing the drinks. I walked in today with my older brother so he could get drinks for his birthday this weekend and as he was checking out someone by the name of AMANDA Z asked to see my ID. I tried to explain to her that I was just accompanying him (we were going to target afterwards for me) but she refused to sell my brother who is OVER AGE and had his ID any type of alcohol all because I was with him. We were confused and said that he was the one purchasing and that they had let him buy under these circumstances before, but she made it seem like we were lying and she was extremely rude and passive aggressive the whole time. I cannot believe they allow their employees to treat their customers like this. Had she RESPECTFULLY explained that we couldn't check out together it would've been a completely different story. AMANDA Z is definitely someone you want to avoid if you're looking for basic customer service skills (big, frizzy fake red hair). A manager, I believe Brian, helped us get the kegs delivered to the venue and when we dropped them off we forgot the receipt he was able to help us out. The liquor store goes "big box"! I've liked BevMo ever since I stumbled into their Bayshore store in SF several years ago to stock up for a party. They have expanded rapidly while maintaining a very good selection. As for wine they have a very good selection of everyday juice including some not so common varietals that I could previously only get in OC/LA wine stores . Also there are some very good offerings from the bigger producers. They do lack a decent selection of truly high end wines and have relatively few bottles from the many outstanding small producers out there. Their beer selection is quite good but it would be nice if they could get some of the more limited, special releases from the breweries they carry. I'm always able to pick up a beer that fills my need for the moment and they do occasionally get some hard to find beers though this seems to be an increasinly rare occurance. They have a great selection of west coast craft brews and a nice but somewhat limited selection of belgians. Booze selection is similarly good with enough premium bottles to keep most happy. Again, they don't have some of the rarer stuff - single cask special bottlings of scoth for example. Plenty of snacks and a better slection of cheeses than most local grocery stores. Decent cigars are well. Overall, I'm glad they're here and they have a very good selection and plenty of quantity but the quality isn't there when compared to other places in SoCal like High-Time, Wine X, Holiday, and even Hollingshead(beer only). My biggest concern is that their presence will prevent other specialty shops from coming to the area - sort of a wal-mart effect. read more

Terrible customer service! I have gone into BevMo numerous times but every since they have changed their management, the employees are terribly rude and so is the manager. I walked in today with my little cousin who is 16. I was told i had to leave and wouldn't be able to check out. I was told she looked over the age that's why she wasn't ID UNTIL we got to the counter and then i was told they couldn't sell to me. As this was happening two more kids walked in but they we able to walk in without being ID. The girl at the counter already had a bad attitude and yelled at us to move over 5 more feet by the Chardonnay to be more "organized". They said they check everyone ID as much as they can but they had no one at the front door checking. I would think if no one was able to come in over the age of 21 someone would be at the front door the whole time checking everyone's ID not just when they feel like it. The manager was called over already and said those are the new rules. I wish i got both their names, the lady at the counter needs to be retrained and learn how to speak with customers in an appropriate way instead of rolling her eyes while she is calling the manager over. Asked him for help & he literally pointed to wear I can find it (across the store) & said "it's somewhere over there" I then told him I didn't see any so his response was "if you don't see any there probably isn't any" what kind of costumer service was that??? Thankfully the friendly register lady did a double check for the egg nog for us & even though there was not any in stock she did her job by checking. I do enjoy visiting BevMo and feel that this store has wonderful employees who are very knowledgeable in their products, and if by chance they can't help you, they find the exact person who can. Due to the economy I haven't visited BevMO in a while. The last times I was going I felt too cramped in the aisles. The middle aisles seem just a bit too long across and too wide because trying to get your cart in between them or past them always seems to be a challenge. It would help if they would limit the shelves in the middle of the store to offer more room to their customers and the carts. Another complaint I have is the line(s). Usually a line forms down the center of the store because there are two registers going at once. Far too often I have stood in line, behind many others only to watch someone with a full cart loiter along the other side then waltz up to the counter as if they were next. Once when someone called someone else out for this the employee went ahead ringing them up saying she didn't "see" who had been next (even though there was about 10 people in line who did). Another time an employee opened a register and called out for the next person in line (me). As I was approaching, someone walked up with their booze and the employee proceeded to check them out. I explained I had been next and the employee said it would be "quick". Well, "quick" meant the customer then asked questions on ordering a keg and the employee walked away with him. Meanwhile, people in the line I had been in were coasting out. Took me over 20 minutes to FINALLY get checked out with no apology from customer or employee. So, I would hope that BevMo would try to re-organize their checkout lines better. read more

One of my goals as a 22 year old is to have a bar in my future home. So I do purchase liquor from time to time, some to collect and some to enjoy now. I love BevMo! It's seriously THE STORE for alcohol, the Costco of all liquor stores. They have great deals on liquor, beer, wine, mixers, and all related items. If you sign up for a BevMo card, you are able to get great deals in the store (will show in price tag!). To be honest, Costco will have the best deals on any related product, but you seriously won't find a big variety and just as good deals anywhere. One sale I like of theirs is their buy one, get one for 1 cent deal. This usually applies to their wine, which is great! I've heard they do tastings every now and then, I'll have to try it one of these days.. read more

Honestly, I only keep coming back here for Franco. Everyone else here is weird, not personable, and social awkward. When I see Franco it's like a chat with a friend. He helps me find the right cigars to pair with the right brews. Everyone else here just seems like they want to avoid everyone. After hearing advertisements on the radio, I went to check out the store one day when I had some extra time after work. I expected a wider selection than what I found, and also expected better prices. Nothing against the clenliness or service, I just wasn't as impressed as I thought I might be. The next weekend, I was in San Diego visiting a friend, and we went to a BevMo near Ocean Beach. The store had a larger selection of both wine and microbrews, and I was more impressed with that store, and would definitely go back. Used to like this store until they started to insist on scanning my drivers license at checkout. Each time I say no. I don't know what information is being gathered from the scan. Today I showed my ID to the checker (I am over double the drinking age) and she grabbed it and scanned it. I guess they are tired of people saying no, so they just scan away. There's a reason these bozos sell wine for 5 cents a bottle if you buy one at the regular price. It's because they charge double for the bottle you pay for. If you want wine and liquor at discount prices then go to Costco and Sam's Club. Besides it's a pain in the @ss to make any purchases from this store if you don't have cash or a debit card. So if you decide to make a large purchase you better have a stash of cash or a debit card. They refuse to take checks. read more
