Total wine finally open in Redlands. What a perfect spot! This place is the liquor library for those seeking beverages of higher end, quality or not your typical grocery store liquors, beers and wines. Seasonal items and almost everything you can think of in regards to alcohol. They also have some non alcoholic beers, mocktails, sodas, mixers, merch and snacks. Walk in cooler with a few chilled mixers, beers and also a cigar walk in. Classes available with advanced booking. Not as big as the rancho location but has plenty to choose from and not lacking by any means. Their grand opening had a few popular items for sale limit one per person, these of which are typically sold out. Service was informative and present when needing assistance. Definitely get a wagon, you'll need it while you could easily spend a good amount of time looking around at all this place has to offer. read more

Excited that Total Wine opened in Redlands! There's plenty of parking available. We received a coupon in the mail for $40 off if you spend $100. My husband bought a case of Sapparo beer, I picked up the strawberry & espresso Baileys cream, buy two and get $10 off. Plus, I bought a cute single size of Borrasca wine made in Spain for a gift. So Friday Evening around 6:18-6:29pm I walked into a Total Wine at this location. Mind you I've been here before. So as I walk in approach my way to the back because I knew exactly what I was getting, a Total Wine worker name Wrenn aproaches me. He states " you know you have to be 21 to be in here." I then follow up and say "I know". So then he proceeds to ask for my ID as I'm standing in the asile shopping, so I tell him my birthday Feb .. 2002 and tell him I'll show ID when I go to the front. Then he proceeds to make this big commotion with me saying he's not selling me any liquor unless I show him my ID right then and there rudely then proceeds to call Redlands Police Department. So I tell him man I've been here before even your coworker from last week helped me out coincidence the coworker comes from around the corner and he stays quiet. Of course, he may be trying to protect his job, which I understand, but as I gently walked past this gentleman, he whispers under his breath he's truly sorry. I don't know if he was apologizing for his bosses actions or what. But as I grab my liquor and go stand in line like a normal human being as I get to the front of the line Wrenn still states that he's not selling me liquor and I need to leave the store as I'm ready to show my ID to the cashier. Wrenn says the reason he questioned me was because "I look very young" and I responded, "Of course I look very young. I'm a young black man and healthy. What do you expect?" I have a white Costa Rican friend and he looks baby faces me as well and he's never been approached one time while he's shopping by a Total Wine individual asking for his ID in the middle of the aisle. It's almost as I feel like I'm being haressed not OK by Total Wine most definitely need to look into this individual. As I proceeded to go to BevMo down the street a worker at BevMo tells me he's ran it to the same individual that I ran into and had similar problems with this guy. What a coincidence please look into this individual. I am not OK with how I was treated and I hope nobody else is treated the same. And I really only left because I' have a big future and I don't need somebody like Wrenn trying to mess up my future. read more

Went here on Saturday with a friend and was a great shopping experience, nice selection of whiskey and wine, came the next day with my wife and everything was great until we checked out and our cashier Sonia was straight up ignorant and rude asking for my I.D. when I wasn't making the purchase when my wife was buying her wine, which I understand might be the rules so I obeyed but Sonia then asked personal questions if we were related and if my wife was my Mom, what does that have to do with buying alcohol? I feel really sorry for Sonia the next time my wife buys her wine there. read more

My boyfriend and I (both 30) came in to check out the new total Wine location and pick up some mini bottles of Stella Rosa for Mother's Day. We're big wine fans and were honestly impressed by the huge selection--they definitely have a great variety! Unfortunately, the experience was pretty uncomfortable. From the moment we walked in, we felt like we were being watched. Managers and employees kept asking if we needed help--like five times--which quickly started to feel more like suspicion than customer service. We got weird, judgmental vibes and it made us want to hurry up and leave. At checkout, the cashier stared at us and questioned whether we were 21+, even though we clearly provided valid ID. It just felt like we were being treated as if we were doing something wrong, and that made the whole visit feel really off. Bottom line: amazing selection, but the way we were treated left a bad impression. We'll probably just go to Target next time read more

As I was leaving, the worker in front said if I had ID to begin with, um why would I go to a beverage store if I was under age ? Makes no sense. Pls don't follow people around you'll lose customers like that by the way, it's very uncomfortable..and it was my first time going here which is why I was looking around but apparently you can't explore a store or else they think your stealing... so make sure you know what your buying don't even walk around seeing what they have cause they'll follow you or they'll think your stealing. read more

I am a frequent at Rancho and was very excited to hear one was coming to Redlands. This location has very good selections. The downside sadly is the customer service. I had an issue with a missing item in my order (maybe my fault that I didn't check before I drove off). I called a worker at this location and addressed my issue regarding the missing item, and they ensured that everything was resolved and to just pick it up under my name whenever I come back and that they had it ready for me. The day came to pick it up and the workers were confused. I will say they were very nice and attentive. They still got it for me. I went to check out with my other items is was buying. The manager checking me out at the register confronted me and came off very rude , condescending, and were insinuating I was trying to steal from them! I felt soo uncomfortable, and I am not a confrontational person at all. I didn't think of how rude the encounter was until later. This location is still very new. I am not sure to come back until all the tweaks are resolved and just stick to my normal Rancho location. It's unfortunate because I really love this store. With love.. I love this store. I love just walking around and seeing what is on the shelf. It has everything you could want. Gift giving, parties, home enjoyment. Everything is clearly categorized and if you can't find it an employee is always nearby to help you. I spent quite a bit of $$ here. All the employees (I talked with several) were unfailingly polite and friendly. I appreciate the company has made an attempt to educate the employees on the products they are selling. However, asking for an opinion of an employee is a total waste of breath. They have clearly been schooled to follow a script when answering questions. There are pictures posted of employees next to various items indicating "Joe's favorite". I noticed the type of product I was interested in had pictures of one employee posted next to different brands of the same type of product. So, I sought him out. I wanted to know did he like brand A and brand B because I like them. Thus, the chances of me liking the brand on the shelf would be higher if the employee has similar favorites as me. I got a spiel of dialogue about how the bees pollinating the flowers in the area it was made influenced the subtle undertones of the product and you really couldn't make comparisons that way (not an exact quote, just that type of BS)...Dude, I asked if you like it or don't. So, when I pinned him down, he implied the brand I like and usually drink was ghetto. I don't honestly care if it's ghetto if I like the way it tastes so subsequently the bottle of the new brand I had in my cart went back on the shelf. I will not be a victim of upselling. As an experiment I did the same with two other employees and got the same script almost verbatim. And BTW, the Bev Mo bashing signs scattered through the store are nothing but mean spirited and off-putting. If you want to lure away their costumers, be a better store than they are. read more
