Grade A service!!!!! The store manager at this location is top notch, and his team is among the best. Right before my wedding to my beautiful amazing bride, we had trouble finding enough of a specific Champagne for our wedding reception. Finally, I got in touch with them about 1 week before. We were told that they had 10 in stock and should be able to order the remaining amount before the wedding day. As the week came to an end, their shipment still had not arrived. Now here's where it gets great!!!! Hector the Store Manager took it upon himself the day before the wedding to drive all across the IE to the 3 nearest stores (which are as far as Riverside and Rancho Cucamonga) to find 10 more bottles and have them there for pick up the same day. Additionally, everything was kept in cold storage while waiting for me to arrive. There icing on the cake.... there was a major discount applied, so half of the bottles were only 5 cents each. I needed help planning a wedding. After calling multiple stores, I came across BevMo! I called asking if they provided any help in planning and all I knew was that I wanted wine, beer, and some cocktails. I spoke with Hector, he immediately set my fiance and I up for a private tasting, we were able to try some reds, white and even champagne. During the tasting/consultation, we went over all the detail we didnt think about. Ex. Delivery, Champagne toast, cocktails options, mixers, garnishes, kegs, the quantity we needed for our guests. I told Hector that I didnt live nearby and I would have trouble coming in to pay for my order. The team was able to create an invoice with a payment link to my email. It was a huge weight off my shoulders not having to worry about this part of the wedding and everything on my order was delivered on time for my big day. read more

I was put in charge of getting the things needed for our Graduation party. I chose to come to BevMo because I heard they have a warm and welcoming staff. As soon as I walked in the door I was greeted with smiles and a warm welcome. I ask Andres where some items were and gladly stepped away from what he was doing to help me. He gave me several recommendations for things such as what mixer would go well with the spirits I chose. He also helped me choose the beer that I hadn't even thought of getting. I've been to different BevMo locations and I have found this location in Redlands to be superior. One employee in particular, Jenn, is very professional and friendly and really goes out of her way to see that you are finding the product you need. She genuinely cares about her job and the customers she helps. Jenn always has a smile on her face, which is also important with customer oriented work. Had to give it 1 star because I couldn't do no stars Got a keg for my birthday I called the store told them it was nothing but foam they said bring it back I said ok called them back and let them know no one could drive back they support drinking and driving hence telling me to take it back by 11:00 pm when I called back they said call the store manager in the am so I did spoke to Hector he said that there's nothing he can do I'm at fault saying that it has to stay cold I said it did and the he said well it's like you buying milk and bringing it back because it was warm I spent $392.00 that day in there store got $170 back in deposits and nothing for them getting a whole full keg back no refund no exchange nothing which the keg was 169.99 plus tax. BevMo associates and managers are excellent when it comes to service, but Hector and his team really set the bar. Still, it's not only the service that's exceptional - their expertise on various spirits is what sets him apart. When I'm looking to make some big purchases, I'll make the two-hour round-trip drive to the Redlands location, instead of a nearby location, for their informed suggestions, well stocked/maintained store, and excellent service. Although they do have a few more beers than a grocery store does, they don't have nearly as much as they used to! About half the store is now filled with grocery store items and frozen foods. I'd prefer to go to a grocery store for grocery store items, and to BevMo for a wider selection of beer. Not to be mean, but I'd probably drive a little further to a Total Wine and More or just stop into a local liquor store than stop in here. Also, the online inventory doesn't appear to be very accurate. What showed up as 36 available bottles of bourbon, turned out to be out of stock when I went to pick up. This is a BevMo so 'alcohol warehouse' says everything you need to know about this place. This location is on the small side and feels more cluttered than normal so it does not have the variety you might find at a larger BevMo location but it has met my needs on numerous occasions. This was my first time here. There was already a long line at the checkout. Saw a large selection Tequilas and Vodkas. With so many people in the store, I only saw one employee helping another customer. Looks like they're short staffed. Saw Bailey's Colada and Apple Pie liqueur. Sounds yummy! Plus, there was Godiva's white and chocolate liqueur as well. The other half of this store was like a regular store with frozen food and supplies. This is my local Bevmo, and I've had pretty good experiences every time that I stop in. The staff is fairly knowledgeable about products, and make decent suggestions. They can be pricey on certain products depending on what it is, but for the most part, prices are fair and competitive with other liquor stores. I would note that if you're looking for specific products, it's wise to call ahead to see if it's in stock. Also, be prepared to wait in line on any given day. Aside from that, a pretty good spot to stop by for any of your drink needs. read more

Buying for an event...be very careful with what/how much you buy! Better yet, buy somewhere else!! Planning a wedding is intense. Trying to assist my daughter, who was planning her wedding here while living on the east coast, we had several tasks to complete ourselves. One was purchasing the alcohol To make things more difficult is the fact that I don't drink! I know nothing about what we needed, nor how much. We had used their "drink calculator" that's on the website for an idea. When we arrived at the store it was fairly empty. We came in the beginning of Oct (it was a HalloWedding). After picking out some beer, we started looking at wine. Having 0 usable knowledge, other than we should have a red and a white, we asked an associate for help. We found out later that the gentleman who helped us was also the manager...Renee (sp?) He was amazingly helpful, very knowledgeable, and showed us popular options that didn't cost our first born. He also helped us calculate what we should buy; a case of each. We choose to go with his recommendation on white, red, and champagne. Our problem wasn't the purchase, but rather the fallout. Our daughter's Hallowedding was in the mountains, obviously on Halloween, in the evening. I'm guessing since it was a Monday, and many attendees had to drive home then work the next day, there was not as much drinking happening as BevMo's drink calculator thought there would be. We a had ALOT left over. So we stopped back at the store the day we returned from the mountains (Tue the 1st). We wanted to return the unopened alcohol and recoup some of the money we poured out. We were told they only did returns with a receipt. I pulled out the receipt. Then we were told they do not accept returns after 7 days (a fact we were not told when we purchased it, and we were very clear when the wedding was to be held). I failed to read the full receipt, but I'm guessing it's on there (too lazy to go get it from my wallet). We asked to speak to a manager, only to find out there were none in store, but would be in the next day. They took my name and number and stated Renee would give me a call. That was 6 days ago, and yep...no call. I did go to their website, but they only list one number with the hours of 8-5:30, which is when I'm at work and cannot use my phone. I choose not to send an email since I didn't want to risk them calling while I was at work. I do not know in advance what day of the week I will have off, other than Sun, until Sat each week. So I kept hoping the manager would call. It's Mon the 7th, I'm off today. So I try to use the chat feature on the website. Unfortunately my phone kept trying to go to sleep, and there is no sound, so instead of being able to work on other things around my home while waiting for an agent to join, I had to keep staring at my phone screen to keep it awake. I gave up within 10-15 mins...too many other chores to get done. I finally jump on my computer and search for a number to reach an actual person. I call the number and reach a gal who states she will forward my request to customer service for an agent to call me; this was at 9:50am. I call again at 12:50pm to check status as I wanted to take a nap (don't judge, I'd been up since 4a, and it's rainy). Got the gals voicemail, so left a message that I just wanted to check status. She did call me back to say that the customer service department was working hard to assist everyone and would be calling me as soon as they could. Guess you can figure out by this novel of a review that said call never came. I had a living room full of alcohol, and other wedding supplies, for weeks...I thought I would have my space back. Instead I still have a living room full of more than half of the $448 we spent on alcohol, that I won't $@&(ing drink!!! And a company that can't even give me the courtesy of a call even if only to say sorry not sorry you're stuck with so much excess. Just to add their company website says "We are not able to accept returns in the case of overpurchase (bought more than needed for an event, etc) in CA. We invite you to use our Drink Calculator or contact your local store for assistance in estimating needed quantities prior to purchase." ---We did BOTH, and purchased what we were told we would need!!! read more

Terrible customer service. Absolutely the two ladies working this evening clearly didn't give a damn, especially the young checker. I was in there this evening around 5:30 and left right at 6:00, the store was void of customers with the exclusion of one gal checking out as I entered. Went up to the checker and asked to get in the Cognac cabinet, she directed me to go back to the cabinet while she'd call for someone, I asked "can they bring it up?" And she shooed me off not seeming to want much to do with the situation. I went back and hung out long enough to quietly shout out in jest, " hello, anyone here," several times, I made my way around the store to find a lady in a blue shirt that clearly thought it of more importance to continue to stock items and tell me after I kindly asked for help, " I'll be there in a little bit" To my dismay, to a vacant store, I find myself there nearly half an hour before I decide to leave. And as I pass the checker she continues to walk off somewhere away from the cash register and does not make eye contact with me as I'm looking bewildered to the lack of consideration and ZERO customer service or attempt there of! Do not shop Bev Mo in Redlands. First off they had no shopping carts, 3 for the whole store. Second, they wanted my ID to scan. I'm 66 years old, law says they only need to prove I am 21. Law also says you only have to surrender your CDL to a Police Officer or DMV. I had them call Manager and she told me sorry, I have to. No you don't, my ID says I'm 66, that's good enough. This morning at approx. 9:30 am I went into BevMo in Redlands, CA to purchase 'Fee Brothers' Lime Bitters. As usual with BevMo, they did not have these bitters, only very limited other flavors. Fee is one of the most popular brand of bitters and have numerous flavors for mixing with all types of alcohol. As I was leaving, a female management member was using a raised voice and told another employee that she was going to "kill them". I don't know the reason for her loud outburst, but if it was due to store employees doing something she didn't like, she should address it with the individual employees in private. You never broadcast employee problems with anybody but the employee(s) and certainly never in the presence of a customer. But do not fear, TOTAL WINE is coming to Redlands in the space left vacant by BABY BABY next door to Nordstrom Rack and Ross in the Mountain Green center just north of where BevMo is located. Exact date is not known, but the ABC posting was done in March of this year. Don't forget to shop at TOTAL WINE when it opens. read more

Even if I didn't forget my id at home, I would not come to this location because of customer service. my ID wasn't in my wallet when I got to the register, like an idiot, so I told the larger blonde cashier she could help the next person while I looked for it because I felt bad having the guy behind me wait.
