Part of my purchase was 4 six packs of one beer and asked if they could give me the 12pk or case price as they had no 12pks or cases in stock (I normally buy the 12pks at that store). He said, "I can't." I asked, "you can't...or you won't." At that point the following happened: He and another clerk teamed up and tried to school me on beer purchases (I'm 61 yrs old and have bought more cases of beer than they have filled their diapers between the two of them). After I said that I'd just buy my beer somewhere else, the one with the beard began to "educate" me. He said, "that didn't matter...unfortunately, alcohol sales are going up. So many people are self-medicating so it doesn't matter." I guess it's back to the Total Wine and More store in Rancho Cucamonga. They always have what I want and I usually find something new and interesting to try there. These two clowns won't get another penny from me. These two will lose customers for the store and then when they get laid off due to lower volume, they'll find other similar employment with similar pay...rinse and repeat. I went to BevMo more often prior to covid. I enjoyed their wine tasting. The store is convenient to purchase wine and other items. They do have some wines not available at other stores but for those that are common they are more expensive than other stores. I saw they had pick up and delivery as an option so I thought great I did this previously and thought it would be the same. I thought I could order online then pick up the item without going into the store. WRONG! I did order online. This is the second time I did that. The first time I picked up the order at the front door. There was a worker there who gave it to me and I did not need to go into the store at all. This time was different. When I went to pick up I had to walk through the store, past the cash registers to the area where they have cigars. Wait in that area until a worker came. Shoppers passed by within one foot of me as there is a very narrow isle. Then, the fellow handed me a box and I left. In doing that it defeated the purpose of contact-less pickup that other stores have where they bring it to your car or they have it near the front door so you don't need to go through any part of the store. t seems counter-intuitive that you offer pickup and have the customer walk through any part of the store to get their merchandise. Instead you should have the pickup orders near the front door, which is not that difficult to do. And that was done in the past. He also did not give me a receipt. So I will have to go back to the email to check the order, which makes it more of a hassle. I encountered at least 6 people who were not at the required social distance while getting my order. I know for some people this is no big deal, as there were many people shopping in the store and many don't care about the public health regulations and social distancing, that is another issue altogether. But my intent was not to be near others at this time as I am in the high risk group. So I will not do this again. Nope, no more pick up for me and will just buy from my normal delivery service in the future. They also switched the product I wanted to another version of the same brand, which they do state they might do on their website. Hopefully it will be as good. If I was going to go back I would just shop normally as there wasn't that much difference in terms of regular shopping and pick up in terms of social distance. And in buying ones own products I can see what they have in stock and decide if that is what I want. I won't go back until the covid problem is over. read more

BevMo located on Lagonia Ave., in Redlands is my favorite place to stop by & buy more than liquor they also sell bottled sodas that you won't find anywhere else. This store carries a wide range of wines & a wide range of unique beer. They have great customer service so if your not sure what you really want you can have an employee help you out, the employees are always nice & helpful. The store its self is nice & clean & very organized which makes it easy to move through the aisles without hitting anything. They also sell chocolate that can't be easily found anywhere and that's not all. They sell dry salami and cheese. During the holidays you can find some really unique gift packs with chocolates, Salamis, cheese, & liquor gift packs. Worst experience. This was our first time coming to a BevMo and our last. We came to pick up a (NON) alcoholic wine for a friend. We got to the register and the employee by the name Cristine helped us. it was my bf and i and said she needed both ids. My bf forgot his wallet at home so had no ID. We were so confused why we both needed an ID when i was purchasing an (NON) alcoholic wine. She then just stares at us telling us he cant be in the store without an ID and he was like ok I'll go outside and she says no just next time you need an ID. When it comes to wines I would say I fall in the range between being a novice wine drinker and a wine enthusiast. There were those nights in graduate school I gulped down a glass of whatever red wine my roommate recently bought to help me fall asleep. And there were those evenings I drank socially with friends discussing politics and different types of cheese; because that's what you do at wine bars; and that one time I accompanied my friend to a winery where we sampled different wines while discussing their varying flavors. But, when it comes down to it, I couldn't tell you what type of wine I prefer [I like white, but I also like red]; which winery speaks to my soul; or what type of wine would best compliment a particular dish. SO, I decided that this year, I will make more of an effort to learn about wines so when I go out I can actually order a glass of wine I like versus arbitrarily ordering a glass I pray I will like. First stop on my wine mission: BevMo! I figure this is the perfect place to start, and I think I made the right decision. I told one of the employees [not the manger- he wasn't as helpful] that I really enjoy drinking Martini & Rossi Asti sparking wine; and based on this a friend recommend I try a Moscato D'Asti wine. I think he could tell I was a bit confused as to the difference between Moscato and Asti; so he explained what Moscato is (a type of wine usually made in Italy) and what Asti means (sparking wine) then he recommended his favorite Moscato D'Asti wine [which was on sale- score!] gave me an extra $1 off coupon, told me to chill it and then sent me happily on my way. I was really impressed and will be sure to come back to this location to seek out the same employee for more wine tips. This was definitely a five star experience. read more

Customer service is not their strong point. My husband and I have been purchasing wine online for years. My husband places the order and I pick up. The store usually asks for the credit card that was used for the purchase to verify the order. Today they said, in a very unfriendly way, that they needed my husbands ID to verify. In addition, there were no carts I could use to take the case of wine to the car and I was told it was "because the homeless take the carts". I had to maneuver holding a case of wine and opening the car door without dropping the case. The manager did not seem to care about this. If there was another game in town, we'd be there. read more

This place is whatevers due to customer service. I'm giving two stars bc of the 2 of the 8 employees (short cute young lady and a guy that reminded me of howard stern) that i came in contact with were kind. I came out to check out my drinks. The somewhat tall guy with a sideshow bob hairdo (hair color: black) was pretty rude to me. He was on the phone while ringing me up. He didn't even give me my receipt. I only found out after i got home. (I assumed it was in the bag but nope). He was kind to the two ladies after me though. Was it because i was a different race than he was and the two ladies were of the same race as him? Or is it because they were ladies and I'm a guy? I genuinely cannot tell what is more detrimental to this store's business performance: the atrocious customer service, the fact that their employees attempt to steal from the patrons (I'll get into that shortly) or simply that they've decided to stock 80% of the store with trinkets. I placed an online order to pick up a bottle of Ace of Spades and a few other items at this location, in which it was shortly canceled thereafter. I called and spoke to a helpful gentleman who reassured me that the order could be fulfilled if I placed it again. I placed the order once more and arrived at this location yesterday, October 11th 2022, to pick it up. The non-skilled laborer working the front collected my order and brought it to me, in which I noticed that I was missing the item that I primarily came for: the bottle of Ace of Spades (I wish I could say i was surprised that this store attempted to skimp me on my item, but I am not). I notified the woman that my item was missing and to no useful help (shocker) she mentioned that another gentleman would have to help me since she didn't prepare the order. After waiting for what felt like close to an hour, a ghastly, straw-haired woman (or girl? she certainly needed sun, leave-in conditioner and to stop stressing) approached me and asked if i needed help. I explained that I was missing an item from my order and the woman checked my order status and told me it was canceled and I'd need to pay again. Once more, I was forced to explain the situation, in which the woman told me I'd need to pay for the item again since it was initially cancelled. After simplifying things down to the extent that a third-grader could understand, the woman finally understood "Oh it must be two orders" and realized that the second order was paid (who knew it would be this difficult to collect what was already paid for). The woman left and returned with my item where she then sarcastically said, "Here you go!" and rudely walked off mumbling words that were inaudible. As an individual who spent over $500 on that single transaction, displeased does not come even remotely close to how I feel from that experience. Granted that my single transaction likely funded the entire store's payroll for that week, I would have expected far better service. I typically frequent Total Wine but decided to give BevMo a chance once more. Suffice to say that after this experience, I'll never be returning and I'll be sure to express my discontent to all who even consider this as a place of business. read more

Really sorry I can't give BevMo a negative rating. This really has been one of the worst customer service experiences I have ever had. I ordered online Sunday, April 5 and received a message that my order would arrive within 3-5 days. Then I received a message that "due to high volume orders" I would receive my order within 14 days which would be this Sunday. Nothing has changed in my order status of nearly two weeks ago. I like to stop here on the way to a gathering or dinner party because someone's gotta bring the alcohol. I like that they sell already chilled wines in the fridges near the back so I don't bring a warm bottle to a party. At first, the layout of this store may be confusing to navigate, but after coming a couple of times you get the lay of the land. The employees here are very helpful and have given me advice on dry vs semi- and sweet wine, wine pairings, and whether to buy red or white wine. Don't forget to sign up for their club card, which is free, and gives you the discounted price. However, the prices at BevMo are more expensive than say, Walmart, for the same alcohol even with the clubcard discount. They don't just sell wine and other types of alcohol, but also wine accessories, unique items like alcohol-infused whipped cream, and snacks for a party. read more

I've noticed that EVERY TIME I order online this store shows plenty of stock of items yet after my order is confirmed I get an email stating they're out of several items that I ordered.
