Sent the old man over to Bevmo to buy cherry brandy, because I wanted to make Singapore Slings in honor of the movie and he came back with Kirschwasser which is some cherry liqueur. He asked the sales person for cherry brandy and this is what they gave him. It's clear so it couldn't be brandy. Brandy is brown and how did he not know that? So yes both persons were clueless and know I have to go out of my way to fix this problem. read more

I like this Bevmo, the shopping center is clean and looks new. They have a pretty good selection of craft beer. I picked up a Firestone double IPA here the other day. A lot of local California varieties. I can't speak to the wine and spirits but if you like beer, this won't disappoint. read more

We had a rough experience with the BevMo delivery service on the day of our wedding. They were an hour late which caused our cocktail hour to be cut short by 30 minutes. My husband and I were both really upset. The manager went above and beyond to make the situation right after the fact. I would be hesitant to use them again for delivery service of large orders but I am happy with the service recovery. read more

When were invited to a party and they say BYOB, this is where we come. We love coming to this location because the one in Torrance absolutely SUCKS. This location has plenty of parking and their customer service is exceptional, cashiers and the helpers on the floor. They have the best chips and salsa here, go figure. They also carry the miniature size bottles of Moët that I love, that is so very hard to find. You can shop online and pick up in the store, and they also have good sales especially the buy one get one for 5 cents. read more

The salesman was having trouble finding cases of it. He said he would go in the back room, and bring the cases to me in a shopping cart. He came back, and gave me the cart without saying a word. I LOVE THIS BEVMO!!! the only downside i have to it is PARKING! the staff here are UBER helpful from the moment you walk in to the time at checkout. service is really prompt too, one call from the tequila case and next thing you know an associate is next to you. selection is PRIME of course and i find it easy to navigate around this bevmo rather than others for some reason. the variety they have in stock is enough to make any party booze heaven. read more

This complaint is for event ordering... BevMo has this great program, where you can try wine and a wine specialist will help you make the right selection for your wedding.. or so they say. I happened to come across DC, who seemed a little out of it when I first booked my appointment for a tasting.. He was insistent they could only do it Monday - Thursday and during the day.. Guess what people work, as if it's not difficult enough to work and plan a wedding. We agreed upon a date, but luck would have it I had to reschedule and because I travel for work they only days I could do were the weekends. DC being reluctant finally said, not him but the other wine specialist would be there on SUnday and we agreed upon a time when they would not be so busy.. Well we get there and there is no wine specialist at all! It is two young ladies who know less about wine than me. They were very nice and tried to ask what kinds of wine I liked, and called DC to get suggestions.. We began the tastings and all the recommendations were horrible! They both then told us to pick which bottles we wanted to try.. Note: AT NO TIME DID THEY SAY THERE WAS A LIMIT ON THE NUMBER OF BOTTLES!! So the opened the others, but I really wanted a white Sancerre, which when they called DC, found out there is one in our price range, but they were out of it. They assured me, he would call when it came in that week so I could come in and try it. After trying to not so great whites, we decided to not open any others and wait for the Sancerre... That following Thursday I called, and of course DC was at lunch, at 2 in the afternoon.. I asked the customer rep I spoke to, to have him call because I still had not heard back. Well of course message is not passed on correctly, and DC calls me the following week saying some random note to call me about a Sancerre.. I finally talk to him and explain that I was told we could try it.. Right away, it starts well it depends on how many you guys already tried.. I asked what do you mean, as NOTHING was explained to us.. He goes well we have a limit.. and I said well you promised to have a wine specialist.. to which he proceeded to make me feel bad that we had agreed on a Sunday- BUT remember he had agreed. So said would call me back after checking the number of bottles.. I get a call from Eric the assistant manager, who proceeds to say sorry can't open any more bottles. I explain the sitaution tohim, and ask do you really want to lose over 1k in sales, because of 1 bottle. He seemed to be surprised it was 1 bottle and put me on hold.. Comes back and agrees. Says to come on Sunday (which I checked again if that is okay) and they would open it for me.. Why in the world do I have to go through all this effort because the people there are incompetent.. I have finally found my wine go-to store! This BevMo! is very clean and organized and the staff went above and beyond to help me find the wine I was looking for. Unfortunately the wine I had intended to buy was found to be discounted so I asked an employee for the next recommendation and her being a wine specialist, took me into an isle with different choices but precisely the exact type of Malbec I was looking for. I had a great experience there! I was planning a party near the beach, so I came in to get a bunch of beer and some other alcohol and the staff was very friendly and helpful. They helped me pick out different beers and mixers and understood what I was looking to do in regards to hosting an awesome party. Jason was really helpful and even helped me out to my car to load up and get ready for the party. I didn't expect the staff there to be so helpful and considerate so I give them 5 stars definitely! On May 29, at the store on Rosecrans in Manhattan Beach, we purchased a bunch of alcoholic and non-alcoholic items for our wedding on June 3rd. CJ was wonderful in helping us through the phone at first when we called since there was something wrong with the site taking our payment. Since the site was not working properly, CJ personally input all the items we wanted into the system and had us stop by to pay for it. I had forgotten to add some items when I went to the store, but CJ was very friendly and patient with me and helped me figure out what I needed while I was at the store. Also, the shipping was free because it was over a certain amount, and CJ helped coordinate with our day of coordinator/caterer on delivery to be between 1:30pm to 4pm on June 3rd. On the day of our wedding, I had people come up to me right after my ceremony ended after 5pm telling me that no alcohol/mixers were delivered. It didn't come until around 5:30pm because the delivery people (T Force Final Mile) royally messed up and came super late. People came up to me complaining there was no alcohol on my own wedding day! My coordinator was frantic calling BevMo, and Chanel from the store picked up and she helped find out the situation. Chanel was extremely helpful and called the delivery company and was livid that they did not drop off items at the right time. The delivery company did not bring stuff until around 5:30pm so our cocktail hour was a mess because the caterers also had to set up once they got the alcohol. Apparently the delivery company told Chanel from Bevmo that "it wasn't [their] problem" when Chanel called them after our coordinator called her asking what was going on. We also could not open the 2nd bar that we planned to have because we did not have time to separate the liquids. Cocktail hour was wasted and the bar was a mess that we had to add 3 bartenders to the bar to serve people instead of the planned 1 in the first bar and 1 in the 2nd bar. Chanel and CJ personally dealt with the delivery folks messing up and expressed their apologies to us even though it was really the delivery company's fault. I really appreciate both their help and understanding of how this affected our big day. We came back to return all the unused items (more than half of what we bought) and CJ and Chanel were extremely helpful and understanding of the situation. They knew that they could not fix the situation we had, but they tried to compensate for it and do they best they could for us after what we had to experience on what was supposed to be the best day of our lives. I have not experienced such great customer service at a large chain store, so this experience actually turned out better than I thought, and I am very grateful that CJ and Chanel were so personable and friendly about the whole fiasco. read more

I had heard from so many people that I should try this place and was super hesitant. I hate super large stores with gimmicks. I went at Christmas to get some nice wine and tequila for some friends for Christmas. I am SO glad I did! A selection unlike I've ever seen - true to their commercials. What else I really enjoyed were the non-beverage items that they had available for gifts like special chocolate bars, interesting glasses etc...I ended up finding gifts for more people than I had planned on when I entered. And the "five cents for a second bottle" special they have is unsurpassed elsewhere. The staff were really friendly and helpful as well - when I couldn't figure out what to do when it was time to get a Bev Mo Card , the guy behind the register was incredibly patient and nice - he could have given me attitude but he didn't. Also I checked out REALLY quickly despite how busy they were so they know how important it is to add staff on when needed. They have earned a regular customer for life. read more

This complaint is for why does BevMo needs to scan my driver license? I was going to buy $200 worth of beverages and verifying that I'm over 45 is not enough?!?!? They need to scan my license?!? How do I know how secure their data storage is? In time of data breaches, BevMo wants more of my personal info so hackers can get it?!?!? I ordered online for a store pickup. When I arrived at the store 2 hours later to receive my order, They did not even have it ready yet. I had to wait for 15 minutes while on my lunch break for them to find the beers i purchased. After double checking my order one of the items was wrong so they had to find the correct one, which i did for them since it was taking too much of my time. Very dissatisfied. Came to this particular store three times in the last four weeks looking for grapefruit beer The first time just before the Fourth of July they said they had run out the second time on 10 July they said they still haven't gotten a delivery for the third time on 26 July and they said they had gotten some in but only one case and were already sold out again asked if there was any resolutions they said the manager could sometime set up a special on going order but didn't usually do that. It was at that point it seemed to me BevMo is not the type to store that really appreciate or leave my business so I turned in my card and do not ever plan on going there again read more

I have always loved Bev Mo and usually go to the one in Long Beach. Just stopped into the El Segundo store and came face to face with the most arrogant, nasty customer "unfriendly" associate named Aaron who is their wine expert. He totally ruined the visit, challenging my husband when my husband said wine from his home county Greece can be made without sulfites. Mr. No People Skills Aaron said that was impossible and actually started to debate this into a rude response. Aaron needs to go drive a cab in New York. Civilized people spending $100+ on wine don't want to be told they are wrong . I bought the wine anyway because I love Bev Mo and the other associates were nice, but I won't go back there ever and I will be glad to tell the 4000+ people I work with down the street to avoid this store like the plague.
