This place is awesome. The 5 cent wine sale is RAd. What a bargain. I always find myself stocking up during this time. There is a really nice Cab Franc by Mont Grass that's reasonably priced and super complex. They also have a very respectable beer selection which highlights beers from all around the world. I came in here with my friend to buy a bottle of wine for my coworkers birthday. Since we don't drink very often, we asked for help. At first this bigger lady with short hair helped us find a good wine for our coworker. Then we met Anthony. He was so friendly and he thought it was funny that we were not very knowledgable with alcohol despite being 21. We were actually about to pay when he showed us another wine that we ended up really liking as well as this Belgium peach flavored beer. He described them as "orgasmic," so obviously we were sold. I usually only come here for beer as they have a large and diverse selection. Prices are the usual but a lot better than a grocery store. Sometimes they have great sales which makes it worth the extra drive. The only thing lacking is customer service at times. Most of the staff is very nice and helpful but lately I've had many experiences where the staff seemed "out of it". read more

This past Friday I was "wowed" by my experience at this BevMo because of the sales associate ANTHONY! Planning on going to BevMo? Ask for Anthony! I had just came back from Target and it was 99 degrees out. I had to stop into BevMo to get a particular Whiskey for a friend's Birthday. It was the last thing I wanted to do in the heat. It was so hot I didn't trust leaving my Almond Milk I purchased at Target in the car. So I walk into BevMo sweating, hot, and wanting to be on my way home already. I walked in and I was greeted by BevMo's on point air conditioner and a friendly greeting from Anthony. The last thing I wanted to do was search through the store for a particular Whiskey they may or may not have had. Anthony, who was on register, asked if he could help me with anything. I told him I was looking for a particular Whiskey, I showed him a picture of it, and he said yeah we should have it. I asked where I can find it and he said don't worry about it, I'll have someone get it for you. He had another associate bring me the bottle of Whiskey (took not even 2 minutes). In those 2 minutes of waiting Anthony asked how my day was and we made small talk about the hot weather. When the other sales associate brought the Whiskey Anthony rang me up. Anthony truly went above and beyond to ensure I had a perfect experience at BevMo. I was in and out in less than 5 minutes and I saved $10 on the Whiskey. If you want to give your business to a store that values Customer Services go see Anthony at the Burbank BevMo. Corporate, take note. Thanks Vanessa and Jess!!! These two "Bevmologists" have been super friendly and helpful everytime I come in. They always know where to find the obscure alcohol I am looking for, and on the VERY rare occasion they dont have it in stock, they find it for me at another local Bevmo and place it on hold for me! They managed to snag me one of the last Kahlua Mochas of the season for my mom! Always a clean location, and the 5 cent wine-tastings are a blast, consisting of friendly banter and educated knowledge of the wines (and sometimes beers) on display. read more

I purchased a keg from the Burbank location and I attempted to return the keg on 12/30/2011 and they wouldn't refund my deposit. They wanted a copy of my receipt. Other establishments including liquor stores and breweries don't require any receipt. They already have the customer's information stored in their system. BevMo does have your information stored but they require a receipt. I spent 30 minutes round trip driving to BevMo to find out they wouldn't refund me. They mentioned if I can recall the transaction date that they could search for the day they charged for the deposit. I went home and found the ABC paperwork and then went to the Studio City location. They said they wouldn't return the keg. I said I tried returning the keg at the Burbank location and already spent a total of 45 minutes driving around trying to return the keg. I said I have the date the deposit occurred and suggested for them to look up my order based on that date. They seemed hesitant but did what I requested. They eventually deposited my 40 dollars and then mentioned they will require a receipt next time. They lost my business so I rather deal with better establishments like Vendome Liquor or Buzz Wine Beer Shop. At least they are friendly and will sell better selections of handcrafted beers. And, they refund deposits easy because they have the customers information on file. What BevMo should learn is how to have better customer service. I patronize places like Costco and Bed Bath and Beyond because they have excellent customer service and provide refunds without any hassles. BevMo seems more focused on moving items in volume at a discount and doesn't want to provide customer service. If discounts is what someone is looking for I highly recommend Total Wine and More in Northridge which has a bigger and better selection. Mission Liquor in Sherman Oaks, Glendale, and Pasadena have some of the best prices in town as well. If you want a connoisseur at a store helping you find excellent wine, beer, or sprits, then I recommend visiting Vendome in Toluca Lake. Their staff will sell you a product based on your tastes / palette profile. They will educate their customers on the products they sell. They have allot of rare items that no one else sells. They even host wine classes, wine tastings, and beer tastings. And the staff is very cool! read more

What the hell is wrong with the people that work here? There are four checkstands, I've never seen more than two operating at a time, even on New Years Eve. The line will be 7 or 8 people deep but the staff let people wait while they wander around the store looking dopey. I have spent far too many minutes standing in line exchanging WTF glances with fellow alcoholics. And what's the point of asking for your "BevMo club card" number every time? It doesn't get you a discount. I'm happy to reel off some numbers at Ralphs if it gets me 30% off when I buy 6 bottles off wine (best deal in the valley right now) but it's just more bullshit at BevMo. Parking can be annoying but just use the reserved Outback Hatehouse pick up spots to the right of the entrance. The selection is decent, the prices OK but be prepared to spend some time in there staring at the staff wondering what the fuck are they DOING?" read more

Joseph and Sara have been very helpful so far in planning an order for our wedding later this year. I learned that Bevmo had delivery at a LGBT wedding expo last fall. They were friendly at the expo so we decided to give them our business. Sara has been an expert on beer choices and Joseph on wine. He spent time with me looking up ordering options for wine choices that my future mother-in-law requested. They also offered a tasting. Although my event is still several months away, we have decided to place our order now as the customer service is attentive and kind. They promise to deliver on time, chill the beverages that need to be cold, and have the ice arrive as ice. Update to follow in October. read more

Overall, the service at BevMo was fair. The personnel were friendly and courteous. However, I feel that I should have been approached sooner instead of spending 30 minutes trying to decide on a wine selection. In addition, the sales clerk who offered his assistance admitted that he was not knowledgeable about the Pinot Noir variety except for the most popular sellers. I recently bought a bottle of wine at the BevMo in Burbank. I really liked the store selection and thought it reminded me of a "trader joes" environment for beer,wine and spirits store.
