He answered my call and proceeded to try and troubleshoot for about an hour (without even working for us). Such a kind gesture. Following this, Eddie came by to check out our pool and see if he could figure out what was wrong. Turns out our current Pool Guy was treating our pool as chlorine and it had a saltwater system (something I regularly questioned our normal Pool Guy but was routinely dismissed) Eddie and his guys came by a couple of times and completely reset our system. Saving us from having to buy a brand new pool heaters, which we had just bought two years ago. Our pool is now functioning perfectly and looks amazing, and is actually saltwater again. I could not recommend these guys enough! They take pictures and send you updates so you have a photo log of their work. They really are SO worth the call if you are in need to pool service

We have had several companies over the years provide services, but RD Pools stands out. Working with Kristiana was a pleasure. In fact, the repairs he performed did not appear to even be necessary. When I contacted him to let him know the hot tub was still leaking, he offered to return and locate the leak; but wanted to charge me an additional $289/hour to do so. Considering that fixing the leak was the reason I hired him in the first place, I found that price ridiculous. I gave Sam an opportunity to make the situation right; he declined. His defensive response to my concerns only reinforced my impression that he was more interested in the money and defending himself than resolving the problem for his customer. The difference with the new company I hired has been night and day. They were far more professional and actually fixed the leak for a fraction of what Sam quoted me. They also seemed genuinely interested in solving the problem rather than simply running up the bill. I rarely post reviews, but I felt this experience deserved an honest one. Based on my experience, I would not use Sam's services again. Consumer beware.

One of the nonmedical treatments my doctors recommend for my chronic pain now is swimming and…read morehydrotherapy (jacuzzi) I decided to purchase a hot tub, but new ones are on back stock because if the supply chain and high demand and can also run way above my budget ($9,000+ is what I've been quoted from dealers) I should have waited and bought one from a hit tub repair person or a certified pre-owned one from a dealer. Hindsight is 2020. I bought a used hot tub from a guy on Facebook Marketplace. I first went to see it, and it was very clean. He told me it works great, that nothing was wrong with it, and he'd give me all the parts when it picked it up since his home is being renovated and he needed to gather it all. 2 weeks later I went to meet him to pick it up with a great spa moving team (Royalty Spa Movers). After requesting quotes and availability via Yelp, I went with Sam and Coordinated with a date to get the Spa cleaned and set up for use. I was having decomposed granite (DG) installed in my backyard to be the base of The spa upon recommendation from my landscape designer. I've seen a few other sites where folks have used this as a base, but most people use wood, concrete, spa pads, or gravel. So, I was already not feeling 100% about DG with stabilizer as the base. The DG was installed a day late, hadn't cured or hardened (it needed 2 days), and that meant when Sam came for the appointment, I wasn't ready. (He didn't get my message to delay because he was busy) He came back that afternoon and then assessed the hot tub and the flooring. He gave free advice based on his almost 20 years of experience, and let me know what he recommended to ensure my hot tub would be on stable foundation. He recommend installing wood foundation into the ground what would be invisible, which I appreciated. I didn't want more concrete in the backyard or an ugly spa pad. Since Sam couldn't fill the tub with water until he felt the tub was stable, (for my protection!) he ran a diagnostic of the tub for me. The GFCI plug was broken, and needed to be replaced. I hadn't known to look for that. Additionally, the Jets were ALL missing--the pieces I got from the seller were garbage. So, I was feeling pretty ripped off at this point. But knowing I had Sam on my side to salvage this purchase meant everything. He even came back the next day to install the flooring, replace the plug, add a wire net/grate underneath the hot tub to prevent rats from getting underneath and chewing the wires and foam. He really thought of everything. And then he cleaned the tub and added the chemicals. He's coming back soon to add the Jets and hopefully soon I'll get a cover lifter. Let me say that Sam is a Godsend. It was my fault that I wasted his time yesterday. He could have had an attitude and been nasty, but he was understanding, accommodating, and so incredibly knowledgeable and I feel lucky to have found him. He has worked with the manufacturers before going on his own, so let me tell you his knowledge is EXPANSIVE. He has a customer IN ME for life!

DO NOT use this company for your pool or spa!!!…read more We reached out to them for service for an above ground, ozone hot tub. When we initially discussed and agreed on service, it was made clear and agreed by Sam that this pool is not your typical chlorine tub, we have specific chemicals (that we provide!) that are safer alternatives and work for this hot tub. Sam agreed to use these and NOT his chemicals or chlorine & to let me know when we needed more. I trusted him to handle this and care for the spa - fast forward... it's clear he wasn't showing up or was showing up just to dump a bunch of chlorine into the water and then leaving. The water was all chlorine and nothing else. It was gross, the filters were disgusting and needed changing but it was never communicated that we were out of chemicals or that they needed reordering or that we needed new filters. Furthermore, our water pump is AUDIBLY broken. If he knew anything about a spa, he would have heard that and should have flagged it to us that we need to have it looked at. The water was low as well and, with a hose a few feet away, there is no excuse for this either. There's also a broken handle that was never flagged. I think he saw a hot tub that didn't get regular use and just didn't care to properly service it. I don't know what he has been doing but it is NOT maintenance. We now have to pay an additional person to come in and fix it (very costly at this point) and will be looking for anyone else for service. DO NOT GO WITH THIS COMPANY! They will not listen or even do the bare minimum. You will have to micromanage and babysit to make sure that they are taking care of your pool/spa correctly. These guys do not communicate and you're better off servicing everything yourself.
