First off buyer beware. We bought a package of their sale cal king sheets sets that said it had two pillow cases and two king shams. The fitted sheet does not fit. It is huge. The package said it had two king pillow cases and two shams. Instead it had four king shams. When we got them home and opened the package it had four king shams. And a fitted sheet that was gigantic and we have an 18 1/4" mattress. There is no way it would ever fit. When we went to the store. They told us. Sorry. Not returnable. When I explained the discrepancy of the labeling they said that the brand of sheets we purchased had sham edging. (Yes I guess I was born yesterday) plus no one explained that nuance. As for the fitted sheet. They told me it would shrink if I washed it. Then my king shams are gonna be very small if this is true. I'm guessing this is why people must buy extra large cotton shirts cus they need a size small after it's washed?! They told me I was out of luck and $400 No leeway, no store credit No exceptions, basically NO CUSTOMER SERVICE! I'll never be back and I will share this story with anyone who ever asks me my opinion of the store or where they should go to get nice sheets, this won't be a place I'll ever recommend. I spent over $8000 worth of sheets(3 sets), 5 pillows, comforter that cost over $2000, matching shams and pillows and a quilted spread. It was my 75th Birthday gift to myself.. Two of three sheet sets were too large for my pillow top mattress. I tried to return them but I would only get a store credit. Their solution was to send them to their seamstress. I mentioned that my sheets at home had elasticized corners. The Vice President/ sales clerk(?) made the comment that she had never seen that..It's her business for God's sake. That's when I knew I was being manipulated and out right lied to. Their linen products are WAY WAY OVERPRICED. Their return policy is kin to Walmarts, Target, TJ Maxx and Best Buy without a receipt. High-gloss serving pieces; chip & dip sets that look like art; vibrant glass sculptures, guest soap resembling polished gemstones; textured and faux fur pillows and throws, and modern chandeliers combine to create a chic backdrop to their main product, luxury bedding. They also have several pieces of occasional furniture like coffee tables, chairs, end tables, settees and benches. If I was rating this boutique just on the items above, I would give it 5 stars. I loved walking around and discovering "wow" pieces at every turn. You would only need to purchase one item to make a statement in your room of choice. Like the chip and dip piece; on its own, it's a piece of art. While walking through the store, I was carefully watched by the many staff working there that day. No one offered assistance, not one, but they followed me and my every move. It was like being in a spy movie! I've never had that happen before! Did I look like I couldn't afford their items? I can, but that is irrelevant. Did I look like my intent was to steal? Not sure how anyone could manage that. It really was an uncomfortable experience, not welcoming at all. The sheets and bedding are gorgeous and the luxury comes with a big price tag. For me, I just won't shell out $3k for sheets; I don't feel a difference that justifies that price tag. If you are the type of person who does experience the difference and value, do your homework because it's more than just thread count that makes a difference. As a person who sleeps hot, higher thread count is a tighter weave and less breathable so that doesn't work for me. Oh, and if you buy anything, it's store credit only for returns. Great place for comforters and duvet covers. I was searching for a particular comforter decorated with a wide array of birds, and found a couple gorgeous options. I browsed the sheets after, as well as the vast array of home decor. Found a few gorgeous decorative pillows and a side table for the family room. Went in for a couple of comforters/duvet covers, and left with 2 duvet covers, end table, decorative pillows, and a beautiful, large serving bowl for fruit. So i was trying to shop local, and needed sheets; I care about my bedding and usually buy online at downetc. So i wander into Between the sheets... lots of statues and other things to look at. I was greeted by a nice lady who then started showing me sheet sets... which ranged fron $1000 -2000, of course i asked why so much. She couldnt exactly explain it to me... then she looked to the owner or at least her boss a tall thin man for an explanation... and he rolled his eyes at both of us. I felt small and awkward and pretty much ran out of the store. My take away .... buy your expensive sheets online where a sales person is happy to explain thread counts to you!!! Why is this slammed? I come here to buy gifts. I have never purchased bed linens here but enjoy little picture frames, soaps, and some napkin ring holders. Staff friendly for the most part. The Love Affair is Over I've been a lover of this store for many years. It started when my last husband came home with new European sheets from the Between the Sheets store in Newport Beach Fashion Island (they are no longer at that location). I threw a fit over the $3k he spent, but fell in love with the quality and feel and have been a convert to fine linens now, since 1996. I've shopped at various Between the Sheets locations and have always been happy with the sheets/pillows/towels/gifts/etc. that I've purchased over the years. A year or so ago, while browsing the San Diego Store (we were briefly in the country) we purchased a set of sheets that were on sale. Unfortunately the bottom/fitted sheet disintegrated rather quickly. Having moved since to the Palm Springs/Desert area, We visited the Palm Desert store to return the sheet. It took a couple of phone calls, but the sheet was replaced and all was well. However, in September the sheet disintegrated again. My husband and I dutifully wrapped up the defective sheet and dropped it off at the store to be replaced again. While we were there, we bought two more pillows and various gifts, etc to the tune of about $800-ish. We were told that the manager would get back to us about our sheet the following week. - We left out first message/request for a call back that week. - Went back to the store to pick up another pillow they following week and asked for an update - were told that the manager would call us back the next day. - left another message for the manager (is this person ever actually in the store?) - Called and left a message for an update approximately 2 weeks later- no response. - FINALLY, two months later, we called and had to pitch a fit asking for an update on the sheet. Two days later someone called us back (not the manager) and said that the company no longer sells those sheets. Too many came back and that there was nothing they could do. Too bad for us. No store credit, no thank you for your business. Just too bad for us, their customer. We were made to feel like somehow we were wrong to think that the store would replace the sheet that they ALREADY admitted was defective. Does anyone know who their competitor is so that we can shop there from now on? read more

What a location! Located in the beautiful heart of Palm Desert right in the middle of El Paseo! If your looking to impress guests or take your home to the next level with exquisite interior furniture/sheets then this is the place to be. The staff has been absolutely wonderful every time I stop by. They make you feel right at home which is pretty nice being that you're there to decorate your own. I walked in not knowing what I wanted to do with the house but after speaking with an employee we figured out just what each room needed. They where even able to deliver a piece from one of their other stores and get it to me by the weekend for my party! After living in Palm Desert for so long I don't know how I got by without knowing of this place. I highly recommend checking it out regardless of what you're looking for. read more

We purchased an anniversary gift for our Son and Daughter-in-law on November 23. The sale person offered to ship the item for us, added charge. Great!! We even returned with a card to go inside the box with the gift. Seeing it was the weekend she said it would go out on Monday. That was fine also as they "would have" received the gift on time for their anniversary. We alerted our Son of the package. On December 3rd he called, no gift. I called the store on the 4th to find out the status of the package. What they did was send me an email with only a tracking number. The tracking number showed it shipped the day before, December 3rd.........10 days after purchase. You would think with seeing this mistake they would have shipped it overnight..........No, they sent it ground UPS to the east coast. The sales clerk knew if was a gift and it needed to be shipped out right away, Monday. Ten days in their store and they ship it ground!!! Oh, an I would have thought they would have called with the status of the package after my phone call. No, the only thing I received was the tracking number, nothing else. I have a call in to the Manager. I wonder if they will call me back. They get a "0" for customer service. read more

Went into this store to get my Grandmother some nice new sheets. Not knowing anything about thread counts, the sales associate guided me to a few different options within my price range. Today while shopping on El Paseo, I accidentally bumped and broke a martini glass which was precariously positioned near the edge of a counter. The salesman rolled his eyes and went for the broom. When he returned, I apologized, but he did not even look up. My girlfriend meanwhile was preparing to purchase three expensive tablecloths commented about how rude he was when she asked him about the size of them. Anyway, a minute later he returned with a bill for the broken martini glass. I paid him but I will never return!!! And neither will either of my friends, neighbors, family..because this is one tacky establishment. And my friend will look for tablecloths elsewhere. read more

This store does not stand behind it's product. My husband and I bought a $600 set of sheets. They were wonderful until the fitted sheet ripped right down the middle. We took them back and were told there was nothing they could do. They said they tested the material and that we had used some kind of chemical on them. This has been a awful experience. I went to between the sheets to buy some new sheets for my second home in la Quinta. We live in la Jolla full time. I explained to the sales associate that i wanted sheets that could just be washed and not pressed.. He then suggested I buy the linen wash specially made for fine linens. We went over all the details on caring for the sheets. My husband and I buy legna normally or duxiana sheets. So we are aware of how to care for the sheets.. But still wanted to be positively sure on caring for these new sheets that cost 3,000 dollars. Again I made it clear I did not want to have to press them and was assured I would not have to. We went ahead and bought the sheets and the linen wash and took them home. We slept on them and then left home to la jolla. We came back to the desert this past week and washed the sheets and they came out totally rough and had no sheen whatsoever. They are awful. I was completely shocked at how they came out. I then took them in the store right away on the 19th of March and spoke with the mgr Teresa who started by asking what product I used to wash them with and I said the product you told me to buy. And then she said you need to press them. And then insulted me by asking me if I had written the bad reviews on yelp, because I said I had looked it up to see if anyone else had the same issue and they did. Well Teresa I am writing one now. She proceeded to take my sheets and say she will send them to corporate and would get back to me on Friday the 21st of March. I never heard from her. I then wrote her a email and never heard from her again. They now have my sheets and duvet and I'm out 3,000. I would never buy from them again. read more
