The barn is a local landmark and part of Mariemont's history. Purchased by Woman's Art Club of Cincinnati and converted into a venue for local arts and an art gallery. The concert was held upstairs (elevator or stairs accessible) in a barn loft setting - refined rustic. The acoustics were great and plenty of seating options available (as well as bathrooms). Check out their calendar of events and find an excuse to do some exploring yourself!

I came to check out the center to see the local art as I'm always looking for new places to check out art in Cincinnati. The center is in the Mariemont neighborhood, it started as The Woman's Art Club many years ago and has evolved into a neighborhood cultural arts center. This Saturday there were two art shows in the main gallery space, an art critique going on in one room, a kids art class with Cincinnati Art Academy Instructors in another room and upstairs in the recently opened barn event space was the official ArtsWave event an anime, magna art class with art fans of all ages. I met the Director of the center who said they're testing out the new space upstairs, it can be rented out for meetings, events and looking to serve the community more having more space in the center. The cardio machines are all really maintained well and up to date. They have a Peloton bike which is my personal favorite to use. The highlight is their squash courts! They have two squash courts, both with view areas. The 4th floor gym/squash area is really warm, and welcoming and they have a TV with a large table where you can order food or a beer via the dumbwaiter! The food at University Club is PHENOMENAL. Whether you are going for lunch or dinner, there are always a variety of options to satisfy whatever craving you have. My personal favorite dishes are the buffalo shrimp which are a rather large appetizer but difficult to stop once you start eating! And they have a seafood pasta dish that is.... I dont even know how to put it in words... so delicious you will keep eating even when you are full! My lunch go-to is their Uclub salad which is probably my favorite salad in the city. The club's members range from singles, couples/partners, young families, older families, empty nesters to retirees! It's a place for everyone! The Polo Club is something between a neighborhood pool and a country club. It's friendly and welcoming so no snooty attitudes allowed here. The club no longer has staff, it's member driven with volunteer and/or donation efforts throughout the year, in addition to club dues. The MVHPC has so much more to offer than just a pool membership....there are fun things like winter and summer platform tennis leagues, hiking trails, card nights, kids movie nights, pig roasts, derby day party, Christmas dance, karaoke....etc. In 2020, we added pop up parties with live local music on the terrace (BYOB) and it was a huge hit with members. We have been members since 2017 (wish we had joined sooner!)....I don't know what we did before we joined. We love it!
