I pulled into the drive thru about ten minutes after closing without realizing it. As I started to drive away, Keyla actually came out, waved me down, and asked if I would be okay with a cold brew as a last resort. Funny enough, that was exactly what I was planning to order. That kind of awareness, kindness, and willingness to go above and beyond for someone who was about to work the midnight oil says everything about this place. Their Instagram ad had me popping by Better Buzz for a midday pick-me-up. Did it wreck my sleep schedule? Of course. Do I regret it? No! Better buzz has such wonderful service and delicious drinks. I usually go through the drive thru when I come to this plaza. I always need a pick me up drink before hitting the stores. Their coconut matcha is soo good. I just wish the matcha was ceremonial grade but it's okay. I've tried their coffees too but haven't found my go to drink *yet*. My sister had been hunting for a good matcha since she got to phoenix to visit. On her last day we were at tj maxx and we decided to look for a spot close by and better buzz showed up on the map literally across the way from tj maxx so we decided to check it out. We didn't park to go in as the parking lot looked busy and it was hot so we decided on the drive through which was also busy but it was going by pretty quickly. I got the hazelnut divinity and added vanilla cold foam (they have 5 different cold foams) and my sister got the coconut matcha with added cold foam as well. Let me tell you... these drinks were absolutely amazing! My sis yet was so thrilled to finally found a spot to get matcha while she comes to visit me! I found another location in Scottsdale which I did not know existed. Yay! One of my favorite coffee spots. We walked in on a Wednesday morning and were greeted by Kate. I decided to try their new coconut matcha drink with coconut milk. At first I thought did I over do it by using coconut milk on top of coconut? Nope! It was a most delicious drink. My husband had a mocha drink and was very satisfied. We shared the Better Breakfast. The service from all the staff especially Kate was probably the best I have ever experienced from a Better Buzz Coffee anywhere. Their power had gone off and just come back on and you could see that their computer system had just come up. Although I am sure they were frazzled by the power outage, none of them showed it. They were all smiles and happy faces. What a great team! The interior is roomy with plenty of space to work or study and I always enjoy the Better Buzz merchandise and decor. Happy to find this location for the next time I am in Scottsdale. read more

I first heard of this coffee chain last year when I'd pass by the Phoenix location, but I only got to try it recently at this newer Scottsdale location. It's large with ample parking and seating and has a drive-thru, which is convenient. We visited on a Sunday afternoon and it wasn't busy at the time. I ordered their large caramel blended iced coffee and waited at the bar seating for my drink to be made. It was a nice presentation with caramel syrup along the sides and bottom. Coffee flavor was lacking though, tasted more like a milkshake and was very sweet. I got to try their coconut matcha and their turkey pesto sandwich, both of which were okay. I stopped into Better Buzz this morning as part of the Yelp's hot and new. To start the baristas were friendly and welcoming. The shop has a nice seating area inside and outside. We ordered a Coconut Best Drink Ever and a deluxe Açaí bowl off the summer menu. We also got a cold brew and a Better Breakfast sandwich. The coconut drink was tasty. Went again on a Saturday morning at peak busy time 10-11 AM and they have got it together. The line was 10 people long but they moved through everyone efficiently and there was no back up of people waiting at the counter. Very impressed with how they handle the high demand of a Saturday morning now. Keep it up! This Saturday I met the sweetest 80 year old who was sitting at the long table writing "nothing but love notes" to service men (police officers, veterans) they have an instagram page. I find myself here in the morning and the evening, their Better breakfast sandwich is served all day, they close at 8pm, and its one of my favorite things to eat for breakfast or dinner. The warm pretzel bun, the fried egg patty and chopped bacon is the perfect savory meal. I alternate with the avocado toast with fried egg patty. Stopped in to Better Buzz today (Saturday) around 11:30 AM. The decor is really cute. I love the wallpaper. The inside is quite bright and cheery and they have a good number of tables to sit at. They offer outdoor seating as well as a drive-through. There were two people in front of us in line which gave us time to review the menu. They offer teas, coffees, smoothies, bowls and some toasts and sandwiches. They don't list lavender lattes on their menu, but they have lavender tea so they did make me a lavender latte. I also ordered the feta avocado toast. Prices are average for the area. Neither one of us loved our coffees. I don't think it was the lavender, I really think the coffee they use just isn't powerful enough. We were staying to eat our lunch and although they did not ask us if it was to go, they did put them in plastic to go containers instead of plates . We might have just caught them at a bad time, but the napkin container was empty and we did not see anyone cleaning any tables the whole time we were there. Although it is a really nice spot to coffee and visit, I won't be rushing back for the coffee, but maybe I will try a tea next time. read more

This coffee shop was perfect for working virtually responding to emails and messages on Friday morning. Music was a little loud, so taking calls would be a little difficult, but overall the atmosphere was awesome with multiple people working via laptops and few work meetings and meetups happening here. I ordered the honey latte and chocolate croissant, which were both so good. I recommend getting the croissant warmed up. The honey latte was the perfect taste of honey, not too overwhelming. In the San Diego area, Better Buzz is something of an institution, so it was fun to see them expand into Arizona. This new location, housed in a former Boston Market building not far from where I work, was an easy place to try again, since I had only been to a Better Buzz coffeehouse once before, in Coronado, California. The positives are that they have a unique menu with drinks you've probably never had anywhere else, so there's much to choose from. The service seems friendly enough. And the seating area is light and bright with plenty of places to sit, plug in, do some work, etc. They have a good outdoor seating area, too, with some decent space. And they have an app that gives you a free drink after your first purchase and allows you to accumulate points for rewards. The negatives start with the pretty high prices. They are definitely a bit more expensive than other options. I'm not sure if the drinks are quite worth what you are paying, but I withhold judgment on that for now, since I've only had two different drinks there so far. And while the ambience is great, it's probably not the best place if you want a quieter environment. Both times I came in, it was quite noisy, but it was also really busy. I don't think I'd have a problem working here on my laptop, but my wife came here with a friend to have a coffee and chat, and she had a hard time concentrating on the conversation and hearing her more softspoken friend over all the ambient noise. My wife and I have both tried the Best Drink Ever, which is the name of what is essentially their vanilla latte. Our conclusion was that it was good, a bit too sweet, and uses a vanilla powder that isn't our favorite in terms of its taste. That said, I still enjoyed mine. I don't recommend getting it at full sweetness. Most of their sweet drinks are over-the-top sweet (kind of like Dutch Bros and Black Rock in that regard), so you're better off asking for reduced sweetness. Fortunately, they are proactive about this and actually had signs when I was in that pointed out that you can order their drinks at 1/4, 1/3, or 1/2 sweet. The other drink I tried was a cold brew, and it was good. Not the best or the worst I've ever had. Overall, I recommend that you give it a try and determine if Better Buzz is a better coffeehouse for you. :) read more

A generic coffee chain from southern California and San Diego that doesn't differentiate itself except by the bee wallpaper. The interior and seating doesn't feel like the sort of place you want to hang out and I wonder if a wealthy investor had more money than love of great coffee. It is similar to Starbucks, and if you like that you might find Better Buzz Coffee to be a good option. However, there are many better and already established coffee shops so it will be hard to compete. I had the hot latte and while it's okay it's nothing great and I would suggest one of the many local coffee shops or Press Coffee, Cartel, or even Black Rock. read more

Better Buzz has truly great coffee. It is a blend from Ethiopia and two other South American countries beans. The beans are not burned during the roasting phase. I normally order decaf which is processed with the Swiss water method which removes 99% of the caffeine and tastes amazing. I added the marshmallow cold foam to my hot Americano Decaf. Today is the last day for marshmallow foam unfortunately. They have very good parking in front and it is never a problem. Tess greeted me with a huge smile and she was even more friendly from there. This Better Buzz location has a nice vibe with different seating options including high tables, low ones, no tables, a group table, cushion seats, couches and some outdoor seating. They have pastries which are fresh every day. I ordered lemon poppy loaf which she heated up for me. I think this California based business is quite excellent. I had heard great things about this place and they did not disappoint! This new addition to the Scottsdale neighborhood is perfect. Came here to tryout their horchata iced coffee and it was delicious! I am dairy free and having something that is automatically DF was so nice. It was creamy and the shot of espresso was just the right pick me up. I ordered the avocado toast and the islander açaí bowl. The sourdough bread was thick and fluffy. They added sprouts and a lemon wedge which added a nice touch of freshness and acid. The islander bowl was very filling and the granola with the coconut shreds were great! Then for dessert I got the waffle bites and they were heaven! Nice crispy outside and fluffy on the inside. Everyone I spoke to was very nice and attentive. Since the shop had just opened up and the staff still figuring out their flow the tables and floor were a bit dirty with the amount of people that came. But I think this will improve over time. I loveeee me some Better Buzz, this one is right by my work so I can't help but get it all the time. I love the quality of the food items they have, the breakfast is fresh and made to order (I believe), my favorite is the bacon ciabatta egg sandwich- It's nice and crispy, and so delicious. I usually get that breakfast sandwich paired with their Acai bowl with blue spirulina. They put a decent amount of fruit in it and the blue spirulina tastes so good with the acai and they both have a great consistency and it isn't too thick compared to some places, but hits just right, the granola in it is delicious too. It's clean inside and the staff is always friendly. I cant wait to work my way through the menu! read more
