I got the best drink ever & a matcha latte. Bother drinks were pretty sweet, so if you do not like sweet drinks definitely ask for it less sweet. But the best drinks ever ws oretty good, i liked the vanilla flavor the matcha was pretty grainy. But they definitely did light ice (as we asked for) so that was good! Not sure if I would get the matcha here again, but would go back for the coffee

Very nice location! It is walking distance to the ocean! The pastry was really good (we tried their pistachio croissant). The people there were super nice and helpful. The coffee itself is good too. They also have a good variety. In response to the district manager (Jon Angeles) asking for more feedback: Thank you for your response and for valuing customer feedback. I was 100% happy with the service and atmosphere, which is why I gave those categories 5 stars. My 4-star rating for the food and drink was based on a few specific details: The Coffee: While the coffee was good, I felt the bean quality didn't quite match the level of some competitors, such as Blue Bottle. I recognize this is subjective and a matter of personal taste, but I felt there was room for a slight improvement in the roast profile. The Pistachio Croissant: I found the pastry to be less flaky than expected, and I would have loved a bit more pistachio cream filling inside. Overall, I had a great experience and appreciate you reaching out to hear my thoughts!

I'm so happy Laguna Beach is getting some nice coffee shops as opposed to the big S chain! The staff here was so friendly and kind and coffee was solid. I got a seasonal pumpkin latte, which wasn't amazing, but it was definitely good. I'm going to try the basic stuff next time. The chocolate croissant wasn't bad but I'm definitely going to try some other items next time instead. The cafe itself is so cute and spacious. I love the decor and there is plenty of seating inside and outside.

Not sure when this one open, but I was glad to see it. I saw that they had peppermint seasonal drinks, which I was excited to try. I asked about the seasonal drinks, and the cashier wasn't very helpful. Or she didn't have a lot to add about each of the drinks. She told me the white peppermint latte was pretty much the same as the best candy cane drink. Anyway, I ended up with the best candy, cane drink, which she told me it was basically an Americana and I got it last week. The store is decorated very cute. I enjoyed my drink as well.

Belated review: Over two weeks ago, I stopped in on Better Buzz's second day of business and ordered a toasted croissant sandwich with smoked ham and muenster cheese, and an iced pumpkin spice latte. An employee upsold me on an option for the sandwich, the addition of egg, which was said to only be available at the Laguna Beach location. I liked the sandwich and thought going for the upsell was a good choice. I was surprised on my first sip of the iced pumpkin spice latte. I had not been to any Better Buzz Coffee locations before and did not expect the drink to have a sweetness level similar to Dutch Bros. I would not order the drink again. The hubby liked his cold brew so that could be a possible choice for me to pair with a breakfast sandwich in the future. Getting the promo cup and sticker and being greeted cheerfully in a brand spanking new coffeeshop made for a good first impression. We were able to find a table and eat inside, which was nice. 4.8/5 Ordered the Specialty 8 oz Cappuccino ($5.49) and Laguna Beach Best Drink Ever (6.75) with a chocolate chunk cookie. If you want a treat definitely get the cookie. I think next time we'll skip the Laguna beach drink because the lavender taste isn't for us. If that's your thing, it's worth trying. There's a nice view, inside is clean, and seating indoors or on the patio. Very friendly staff too!

This was the first time I tried Better Buzz Coffee and I was really impressed! I had the 3-seed avocado toast (with chia, hemp, and sesame seeds, crushed red pepper and onion, lemon and microgreens) and the Mocha de Mexico. The avocado toast was really good --- lots of avocado with all the ingredients expertly used to create a very tasty, flavorful and filling toast. The Mocha de Mexico was a delicious -- a not too sweet mocha that was well made. The woman who served me behind the counter was wonderful --- friendly, helpful, a real gem. The ambiance of the shop was buzzy and relaxed. It was filled with people inside and outside (on the patio) which I like. It really felt like a community space in the best possible way. The chairs and tables were very comfortable. I'll definitely return.

Wow had no idea the old BJs location would turn into better buzz! Location is awesome. Plenty of chairs inside including lowtops, high tops and chairs for lounging. They also have seats outside to enjoy the ocean view. The mocha was excellent. The Nutella croissant was very tasty with generous portions of Nutella inside but was not flaky. If it was crispy and flaky it would be home run. Great vibe inside with music and very lit. Great menu as well including breakfast and light lunch items.

Better Buzz was definitely buzzing with customers and great customer service. From Anays who greeting us with a warm smile and enthusiasm to try either a cold Matcha Latte Sample or there Laguna Beach Best Drink Ever cold coffee (or both), to the entire staff that said hello with an upbeat attitude approaching the counter. My best friend and I wanted to try something new so we both decided on the Moroccan Spices Iced Coffee (coffee nutmeg, cinnamon and clove)--which we both found very delicious and packed with caffeine to be buzzing all day. Inside Better Buzz Coffee is clean, bright and modern. Having Celiac, to be able to purchase pastries (and have a few to select) that are gluten-free/celiac safe would have made my experience a five star. For just coffee, I will definitely be back.

Better Buzz Coffee is a very popular chain that is beginning to pop up in Orange County after its popularity in San Diego. I had the ones in San Diego a few years ago and remembered liking them, so I was excited to try out their new location in Laguna Beach. However, I was quite disappointed by the experience. The drinks were definitely the best part, but even then they just tasted ok. The food was extremely disappointing, as the 3 Seed Avocado Toast was under seasoned and not toasted. The Chili Crunch Breakfast Wrap was almost cold, and the tortilla was almost like cardboard. The service was good as the server was nice and helped us adjust the Horchata Latte as it didn't taste like anything when we first got it. The inside was nice, as there was plenty of seating. Overall, this Better Buzz location is just ok. I hope they improve their food and drinks.

The latest craze in with buzzing lines out the door is Better Buzz Coffee Roasters. Usually, once I find a place I stick to my regular haunts but today opted to try this new spot. Jury is still out for me! Did not knock my socks off, but not opposed to trying again a different drink. If you want to check it, there's nothing that makes me say "don't come here" but I personally wouldn't go out of my way. It's about an average drink. Couldn't really taste the lavender. It wasn't a bad drink, it was okay! Plenty of seating if it's not full. Music and chatter are really loud on a Saturday morning so not the place you for a quiet cup of coffee. Will check it out again, just not anytime soon since there are other coffee shops around we'd like to try. Cheers!

We are new to Better Buzz in Laguna Beach and wow -- what a welcome! We were invited in by two super friendly baristas handing out free reusable cups on the street, and inside the whole team was just as kind and generous (shout-out to Ian for being so patient with us!). We tried the Pumpkin Spice Latte, Vanilla Bean Latte, Laguna Beach Best Drink Ever with violet syrup, and the Lavender Tea Latte -- all were amazing. Creamy, flavorful, and perfectly balanced so you still taste the coffee or tea. They even gave out pastries to celebrate opening night! The vibe is warm, fun, and feels like a spot we'll be coming back to again and again. Proof that "Life's Better Buzzed!"

Im so disappointed with the customer service we were given when we went in today Saturday Feb 21 @ 7:03 . The lady at the register was so rude and had a nasty attitude ( she had a pixie haircut with blonde hair.) We ordered a banana pudding latte, horchata latte, and a snicker doddle latte and all were bitter and just not great. When my sister went up to the counter to ask for the restroom code the lady said "what do you want now". My sister didn't stoop to her level and still said thank you. We came from the I.E to this location only to be dissatisfied and failed. Please do better.

This place had opened about a week ago today. I went in looking for a coffee spot and this place looked good and popular. They have seating inside and out right in front of laguna beach. you can do homework there or get a quick bite too. they have a full kitchen so everything made hot is made there. the guy who took our order was very sweet and he offered us stickers and a free cup. I got a large blended mocha for $6.99 plus tax. highly recommend and the service and people were very friendly. read more

Protein coffee was kinda chunky, tasted like protein powder gently stirred into cold brew. We got the banana cold foam added to the matcha and it was super sweet, but not terrible. I guess just be specific about your drinks when you're ordering here. Didn't seem super busy Saturday 11am, but I guess we were probably the end of a rush. Only 2 people working too. read more

This new Better Buzz is not only in a great location but also delivers amazing service. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted warmly by the entire team. Since it was my first visit, I felt a little overwhelmed by all the options, but the woman at the register was incredibly helpful in guiding me to the perfect food and drink. Stopped in this morning to try it out. I ordered an iced vanilla bean latte and it was delicious. I also ordered a chili crunch wrap to go. After waiting over 10 mins I asked what was taking so long since I was the only customer in the store. They said it was made fresh so it took a while. Not ideal for a coffee shop in the morning. After 15 mins they called my name and I saw a very plain looking wrap that came with no salsa, chili, or any other sauce. It was dry and very temperature hot. For the price and for being made "fresh" it was not worth the 15 minute wait. I would recommend not ordering and hot items unless you have time to spare. I placed a large coffee order and needed a few cup stickers to prevent spills in my car. After waiting and not seeing help available, I quickly reached for one sticker. A staff member I believe named Stephanie immediately confronted me and scolded me in front of other customers. I completely understand safety policies and would have had no issue being politely redirected. What was disappointing was the public reprimand and tone. It felt unnecessary and unprofessional. Great coffee does not excuse poor customer interaction. I hope this is addressed through better training on how to speak to guests respectfully under pressure. read more

Great location and staff, but not having 1/2 and 1/2 on the condiment bar is beyond inconvenient for both the guest and staff. Covid ended 3 years ago. There is no good reason not to have it on the bar. Do the right thing and put it back. read more

Pains me to leave 2 stars but this place is so hyped and it was the worst coffee I had visiting Laguna, I got a horchata, 0/10 do not get this, the matcha? Only one size and it was just syrup I didn't taste matcha just sugar. Asked for a new drink I had 2oz of the horchata, so I got a honey latte. 1/10 it was bearable but didn't finish it the espresso or iced coffee whatever they use is extremely bitter not enjoyable at all I'll never be back to butter buzz. Pastry was 7/10 pistachio best thing they had. Service was good I'll give them that but they coffee and matcha was sad. Didn't even finish the drink I had remade. Over crowded space ambiance is what you would expect for being on the beach. read more

Great coffee, and service. Tasty pastries. We have family in the area, and were visiting for a wedding. Convenient location right in town, short walk from our hotel, across from the main beach and within eye-sight of the Pacific. My wife got an iced coffee that she loved, while I got a single origin espresso cappuccino. We both very much enjoyed. My wife thought it had a kick to it in terms of caffeine, in a good way. We came back the next morning for the coffee. Expect we'll be back during future visits. Boys and I also had some croissants/pastries that we all enjoyed. High marks for their Everything & Cream Cheese Croissant, Pistachio Croissant and Nutella Croissant. read more

We love taking little trips to Laguna for some strolls across the beachfront and better buzz has become an amazing addition to that routine. The coffee is great, but even the vibes of this location are stellar - beautiful views and a "buzzing" staff usually lead us to stay and sit at the beachfront facing bar for a bit. Shoutout to Taryn, taking our order on the first visit and kindly guiding us through the menu to help us find our new favorite items. We saw this coffee shop from a post by a Filipina actress and got curious -- so we had to try it! We ordered the Iced Best Drink Ever, and honestly, it really is the best drink ever! The café has such a nice vibe, located right by the beachfront in Laguna Beach -- the perfect spot to chill and watch the sunset. The staff were super friendly too.
