I went through the drive-thru at around 1:15-1:20 pm today (10/20/2024), there was about 6 cars ahead of me. I waited in line for what felt like about 15-20 minutes, which is understandable because they were very busy. I got a bit distracted and just followed the truck in front of me completely missing the speaker box to order, by the time I realized, the car behind me was already at the speaker box and I could not back up anymore. I pull forward to the window and apologize and tell the girl, Ashley, I'm sorry I missed the speaker box to order can I order here. She said I have to go all the way around again to place my order because they are on a timer. Mind you, the line is already out to the street at this point. I told her the line is way too long, can I just place my order and park so they can bring me my order. She asked me with an attitude, "well why did you skip ordering at the speaker?" Again I tell her I completely missed it! She proceeds to tell me I have to go around again to place my order. I tell her I'm not going all the way around again to place my order. She then places my order, closes the window and talks to a Hispanic guy with long curly hair, it seems he may be her supervisor, the guy comes to the window and tells me, you will need to go park because there is now orders in front of you and you just "cut in front of a lot of people". I let him know I did not cut in front of anyone, I simply missed the speaker box to order. He proceeds to tell me that I did cut in front of a lot of people and they have cameras. Well, if they have cameras they can look back and clearly see I DID NOT cut in front of anybody. (Check your damn cameras for 10/20/2024 at around 1:15-1:20 pm, White Nissan Sentra). At this point I'm shocked at the lack of customer service these people have and I ask for a refund. I did not mind parking to get my order, the issue was the lack of customer service and the audacity of accusing me of cutting people in line. Anyway, I went to Starbucks and it was like night and day. Needless to say I won't be coming here anymore. read more

Great coffee and love that there is one near east county now. However, I was there on Easter Sunday and as I was leaving the drive thru, one of their patio umbrellas flew out and hit my vehicle causing some damage. I politely spoke to the manager on site that day and they assured me an incident report was submitted to their HR department and that I would hear back within a couple of days. I'm a huge Better Buzz fan and this location is so close to me! We opted to walk-in as opposed to drive thru. I think the place could have been more tidy. The tables had crumbs and overall the floor needed a sweeping. But my chai latte with oat milk was delicious as usual. Service was also good! Why is there always 15 cars in line, 10 people on the store waiting to orders, and like 5-7 Uber eats drivers waiting for orders? Ever think about not accepting so many orders so we are not waiting 10-15 minutes for a single coffee? Maybe hire more staff, or don't accept every Uber order and in doing so give your staff a break from all this. read more

Three out of four visits I've had inconsistently made drinks or paid for a large and got a smaller one. Wait time is very long. The parking spots that are along the drive thru are inconvenient to park in and I would hope the employees don't park in the other spaces that are more accessible to get to because that wouldn't be catering to your guests. Coffee hasn't been the best experiences along with location and wait times but.. I will say, food is bomb. Nice team, good food..but some gaps that need to be addressed with the drive thru experience creating inconsistencies with beverages long wait times as well as terrible parking during busier hours. read more

Sometimes the drinks are good, sometimes they're bad, sometimes they're downright gross. I've been to this location about a dozen times and get the same drink every time (Best Drink Ever). It tastes good or "right" one out of every three times. The biggest issue is inconsistency (and then wait times is a close second). read more

The drive through line is always sooooo long it takes forever. When you order, it feels so inefficient, they ask you tons of questions, and clearly don't have a sense of urgency. If I wasn't trying to get my items fast, I'd go inside. I'd suggest to management to identify ways to streamline the drive through similar to what Starbucks does. I'd come here so much more, if I knew that it would take 30 minutes to get through the drive through because the food and drinks are fantastic! read more

The La Mesa store really needs to find their groove. I think the staff would benefit from some Kaizen training. The few times I've been I was struck with the obvious inefficiency in getting customers their orders. Today I waited 10 min after I got my Americano to get my croissant and it wasn't even warmed up. When I reminded the gal, she said she had to get all the drink orders out first, meaning that 4 people that ordered after me got their espresso drinks before I got my pastry. The lady who ordered after me got her freshly made sandwich from the kitchen before I got my pastry from the glass display; and two mobile orders were completed for people that weren't even there before I got my complete order. I appreciated the manager coming to me later to present me with a gift card for my wait. It made me happy, as their initial response to my feedback was less than satisfactory. They have good food and drinks and a good ambiance. The problem is a customer service issue. With little tweaks to process and staff training they can save customers time and the business money. read more

Better Buzz carries one of my favorite coffee beverages... the hazelnut divinity unfortunately I don't get it often because of the wait time. The wait time at this location goes beyond the norm. You can expect to waiting a minimum of 10 minutes here. But most of the time it's anywhere between 15 to 20 minutes. The drink is what keeps me coming back. I will say it's always very clean. read more

Haven't gone inside since I am a on the go mom. Of 4 so drive through it's always packed but for what it is I believe the wait it's not bad at all . Coffee it's stronger but at the same time good in taste . I do have a favorite cold cinnamon cream coffee and the feta and avocado toast .! First time visiting this location. The guy who took my order stated that if I downloaded the app on my next visit, I would receive a free drink of my choice. Order the caramel vanilla latte extra hot extra sweet. First, let me say my drink was watered down. It tasted like a lot of milk with a splash of coffee. The second thing that occurred is that I did not receive a receipt, and the drink purchase did not load to my app. So there goes the free drink he promised. Glad to see an East County location. Ordered in the drive-thru. A young man took our order in person, nice touch. Polite and professional. I ordered a hot Best Drink Ever, my wife ordered an iced black tea with stevia. The coffee was terrific, as expected from my past visits at the Mira Mesa location. My wife, picky about her iced tea, was surprised at how good the tea was. Just enough sweet to let the tea flavor shine through. We'll definitely be back to try out the good as well. read more
