She didn't ask what type of men's haircut I wanted (online it has 3 different levels at different prices). I'm assuming the default is the $25 "premium" cut, which online still says $24. You don't get a hairwash at first. She sprays you w/a misting spray. The shampoo comes after your haircut is finished followed by a really quick "scalp massage" (don't expect anything great. Just a quick simple 5-10 second lather with some oil or something). I asked her to cut one part of my hair a little more at the end since it was sticking out. She knew exactly what I meant. It looked more like an outdated stripe highlight than the blended, dimensional result I requested. I was nervous about trying a new stylist and communicated that several times during the appointment. Unfortunately, I did not feel there was much focus on understanding my hair goals, tone preferences, or the look I was trying to achieve. Most of the conversation centered around the stylist's personal life rather than consultation about my hair or checking in throughout the process. I returned for a color correction hoping the warmth and harsh contrast would be fixed, but the result even less balanced. The front pieces still appeared orange/warm and the overall color lacked blending and cohesion. What was most disappointing was the lack of follow-up afterward. I emailed the salon owner twice trying to address the situation privately and never received a response. The only communication I received was after posting a negative review and she publicly asking me to call her to address it privately. After already attempting to resolve this directly, that response did not feel genuine or solution-focused. Overall, this was a very disappointing experience, especially considering I now need to pay for corrective color services elsewhere to repair the result.

Kristin is the owner and cut my hair tonight. About a month ago, I went to another salon and asked for a long bob (lob). It was left too long in the back, it was too thick and didn't have any movement. When I described what I didn't like about it, Kristin knew exactly what I meant. I also showed her some pictures and my cut looks spot on. She also had great attention to detail and was very thorough. She would see how the style would move and then make adjustments and cut a bit more. My bangs kept separating, which would have looked stringy. So Kristin ended up making them a bit thicker, which was a good solution. Before, I was always afraid to get my hair cut in fear that it would turn out choppy, uneven, they'd cut too much off, etc.. But now I'm actually looking forward to the next time I need a cut so I can keep my lob looking sleek or even experiment with something different. Kristin is really friendly too and the salon is so cute! *UPDATE! It has now been one month since my haircut and I have received tons of compliments. It's SO easy to style and the layers still fall right into place beautifully.
