I got an administrative call to schedule the installation and to give me notice about potential code updates. This was an easy process, and I like having digital copies of paperwork. I got a call on the day of delivery, as promised, within the window and they were on time. Mark was in charge of taking out the old dishwasher, and his colleague was setting up the new one for installation so this was a very efficient use of time. They were able to swap out the machines quickly. In installing the new dishwasher, they made sure it was leveled and set correctly, ran a test cycle, and took pictures to confirm everything. Sub contracted through Best Buy to instal our side vent dryer. Noticed water and lint escaping so took apart the hose and looked inside the dryer to find the vent was improperly installed. You can see it's not even connected to the other pipe. No vent tape was used and after reading the instructions that came with the kit, turns out it was out in backwards and not secured with the proper screw. The guy was really nice, thoroughly showing us how to use it, and mentioned to avoid the soap pods since those tend to clog the drain when they don't melt completely. They delivered/installed a washer/dryer I ordered from Best Buy. The guys were professional and very nice. After they left, I ran the first load in my new washer and water leaked out, flooding my washer/dryer room. They had left a contact sheet that included an emergency number and told me to call any time. I called the emergency number on three different days and it went straight to voice mail. I repeatedly left messages that were never returned. This was over a holiday weekend but they advertise 24/7 service. On the first Monday after the holiday, I called their main number and also filled out a contact form on their website. Still no response. Now I have no working washer/dryer and was left with a large mess to clean up. I cannot recommend against this company enough. Do not use. read more

1 star is far too many. Please allow me to begin by saying this company, based out of Spencer, came to install a water line for our Best Buy purchase (a refrigerator). Best Yet works as a third party installer for this company. They told us we must pay $100 or they could not complete this job. Of course we did as they said, trusting they were not scammers or dishonest. I will attach a screenshot of this receipt for everyone's reference. Keep in mind we already paid for the installation through Best Buy and shouldn't have paid a penny more. This was validated for us when we ended up calling Best Buy and they were horrified these people tried to milk us for any additional money at all. Well shortly after Best Yet left (horrible company name by the way, but that is aside the point) we looked online to find reviews for this company and to our dismay many customers on BBB website under Best Yet said they too were charged more and didn't understand the extra costs, etc. We also read a REPLY to a customer's review written by VINNY with Best Yet who wrote the most insolent, sarcastic, vile, and unprofessional response we've ever read to a review on a company!! He should be fired. Better yet, Best Yet should be out of business!! This is our genuine opinion. We also read of many scenarios where things weren't up to code, or permits needed to be pulled, or additional materials were needed, etc. this all adds up to more money for Best Yet. All of this prompted us to call Best Buy directly (after feeling as though this was very questionable) and inform them of the additional cost and ensure this was all above board, and was intended on their end. We, in no time, discovered IT WAS NOT! They reversed this charge on Best Buy's end and have passed along this information to their superiors. We want everyone to be aware that it seems Best Yet charges whenever they can and takes advantage of vulnerable customers, as we can see this is not an isolated incident but a pattern. This is how these individuals make a living, preying on the owners of the households they drive to. My advice.... Be cautious and if it sounds shady it probably is! Always question things. I was told that I needed a rigid vent rather than the semi-rigid vent that Best Buy said I needed and I was charged and extra $300.when they arrived ! The installation took no additional time. Review others, just two responding, copying and pasting, even when it doesn't relate to the review! For a "Service" vendor, they would know what customer service, make the customer happy, the customer is maybe sometimes right? They are getting a lot of business from the Big Box stores, so who cares about the customers. Yes they must get a lot of "new" customers (bet few repeats!) and bet most don't don't even know they are getting scammed. Best Buy Out sources to Best Yet. When they call you, they don't even identify themselves as Best Yet. Maybe that's the first red flag? We have had problems with their delivery truck breaking down twice, same week. Neither time did they call the day before to confirm the delivery window, and both times they changed an AM to PM, then called in the PM to cancel. This time the delivery window was made with them (not Best Buy), received the day before call, likely because I complained to Best Buy. Same dispatch Gal, the says the same thing about changing the AM delivery to PM, we don't honor Best Buy's windows, HELLO, the AM window was made with Best Yet. Again, not one time does she state what business she is calling from. Now I get concerned about this company because they mentioned $50 permits with cancelation and reschedule #2. I contact Best Buy, they said we will not be charged not appropriate. In addition, I called our city (after checking on the website), replacement appliance, no permit fee! I then proceed to Google the phone number to find Best Yet is the vendor. Plenty of horror stories. Not just late, no shows, but appear to be scamming people out of money. Permits, parts, codes issues. I promptly canceled our Best Buy order. I will say Best Buy is usually excellent and their Geek Squad does excellent installations. I am going with a local company and using their contracted plumber. Communication with this company is very poor. Customer service, not even there. Why these Big Box companies keep doing business with them is beyond me. Even Best Buy customer service told me they know about them and get lots of complaints. I plan to submit a format complaint with Best Buy. Buying and installing appliances has always been hassle free. Thank you Best Yet for making this one completely miserable! I strongly suggest you consider changing your Business Name, definitely don't deserve it! I would suggest you get some customer service training and start caring about customers. Best Yet Installations was the subcontractor for my Costco Gas dryer installer. They showed up on time and did a competent job installing my dryer and removing my old dryer. Unfortunately my house, like yours (likely), was not up to code and so my "free" install ended up costing $490. If you want a free install, make sure you do every single thing possible to bring your house up to code before they show up, in my case this required adding hammer-arrestors on my washing machine, throwing away the semi-flexible aluminum vent line supplied by Costco / replacing with a solid aluminum vent piece and drilling a few holes in my wall to put up a grate for make-up fresh air in case the door was closed. My main reason for not giving them 4 stars was that I am confident I could have called my trusted local plumber (who is not cheap) and done all of the same work for a fraction of the price had I realized how much they were going to charge for the work they did. With all of that said, the plumbing inspector showed up, popped his head in for 3/10 of a second and went on his merry way. read more

They made us pay $600 for a snorkle, some sheet venting and gas line ON TOP of the payment to install from Best Buy. We had an infant and desperately needed to install the dryer as we had been without it for 2 weeks before delivery/ install. They knew they had us and they charged for it too. Best Yet Installations was the installation partner that Best Buy sent to our home and I could not be happier!! I used to sell appliances when I lived in California so I have truly seen it all with delivery crews. I can attest that Best Yet is top notch. Mark and Hannibal were professional, courteous, and did a fantastic job installing our range. It was so nice to not have to worry about installing the liquid propane kit, hauling the old range away, etc. Mark and Hannibal were also very communicative throughout the entire process, and gave me a phone call to let me know their estimated arrival time. The cherry on top of the whole experience: we DIYed our dishwasher install a few months back (we couldn't find an installer at the time), and we had a large gap at the top of our dishwasher that we hadn't filled in yet. They removed my old dishwasher and installed the new one very quickly. They also updated the power to a GFCI outlet under the sink. After the installation, they plugged in the new dishwasher and determined that the unit was defective. They cleaned up, and coordinated the replacement for me. You're going to want to read this to the end. It's a doozy. I purchased a dishwasher and gas range from Samsung, and purchased installation services for an additional $240. This company was assigned the job. Scheduling went smoothly although I was annoyed that the appliances would sit in my kitchen for an entire week before the installers could come. I thought they should schedule things in a tighter way, day-of or day-after delivery of the appliances. I was out of town and my friend was watching the apartment. The big surprise was getting a call from the installer Matt who explained [1] that the Samsung dishwasher would leave a big gap under my countertop, and an LG would fit better, and he seemed to imply that I should suddenly buy a new dishwasher? And [2] for the gas range I needed a plate and a shutoff valve to bring me up to code and it would be an additional $400-500. I immediately said, "Nope. Not doing that. I would give you $150 for that, as it can't be more than a 30-minute job, right?" He didn't answer that last question. He basically said I'd have to pay their estimate, or they couldn't do the install. I told him go ahead with the dishwasher install, and as long as it is done in a good and workmanlike manner it will be fine. Use some plywood or something to increase the height. As for the gas range install, I would pay $150, and if they wouldn't take that then don't do it. So they left it. Here's the best part. I come home from my trip, I walk into one of my two bathrooms, and there are globs of urine all over the seat, some on the floor, the rugs are damp, and the toilet isn't flushed, like someone peed all over the seat intentionally. I don't have kids or pets, I just got my apartment professionally cleaned the week before, and there was absolutely no one in the place but these installers. It was one of them. BYI came out last week for a wash/dryer install from Best Buy. It did not go very well and it was left with some issues. When I called to see what could be done about it I spoke to Ryan, one of the managers. Ryan immediately stepped up and addressed the issue. After a small scheduling hiccup, Joe was scheduled to come out to the house and fix some issues with the install as well as, for compensation, fix a leaky outside faucet. Joe, and his team, did an AMAZING job. I couldn't be happier. The gas dryer installation looks solid and the new outdoor faucet is just what was needed. All-in-all, very happy. It is important to understand every company makes mistakes. I know I do every day. However, what is less common, is a business which recognizes the mistake, takes responsibility for it, and works to correct it. Due to how BYI responded and how I was treated after I first called, I will happily recommend BYI for anyone who is looking for work around the house. I see a lot of bad press for this company, but I have to say that I received outstanding service from them. Brett, Alex and Matt showed up at the appointed time to install my gas range. Before they did anything, Brett notified me that because it was a gas range I would need to pay a $65 permit charge. I expected to have to pay for that so it was not a big deal, it's the law for one thing to pull a permit for gas hookups. He measured my overhead vent clearance, verified that I had functional smoke and CO monitors nearby and gave me a rundown of the installation process. The ranges were swapped without a hitch, no damage no surprises. The team was polite and well organized, the swap out took less than an hour to complete. As an ex service director, I was impressed. These guys do some backbreaking work and it's really all about good two way communications. I would use them again without hesitation. read more

Update today 2/19/22. Final step in process of replacing defective range. The staff at Best Yet is outstanding. Today Kyle and Zack installed a replacement gas double oven and dishwasher. The code has changed for dishwashers with the electrical GFI and they were aware and prepared. The install was completed in a manner that was efferently and thorough. Vinny and John were also here to help since they diagnosed the issue before (after the range install). These guys were professional, courteous and competent. They deserve more than the 5 stars. I have worked with many installers over the years both personally and professional and haven't seen a group better than this company. Please understand that they are sometimes in difficult circumstances with the sales occurring outside their control. They competed the plumbing and electrical installation incredibly well. John and Vinny stayed to give instructions on the new appliances. They have installed four in the last few weeks. This company really stepped up to help us with a difficult situation with the range. The process of the range began on black Friday and completed today. Delayed Christmas present for the wife, but she couldn't be happier now. 7 Stars from us. I had better luck with this company than many of the other posters on Yelp. Several months ago we bought a new LG gas dryer from Home Depot. On the day of the installation, two gentlemen came out and hooked everything up in about 2 hours time. My previous dryer was probably 30 years old and left over from the previous owners, so some upgrades were needed. They installed a new metal vent and shut off valve. I believe the additional work came to about 300 dollars, but it was well worth it in my opinion. The previous setup was a fire hazard and we were lucky we didn't have any problems. If I need installation on another appliance, I would have no problem using them again if I got to choose who installs it. read more

I highly recommend them for anything from electrical to carpentry to plumbing to AC installation. Chris is an amazing electrician and stands by his work. He installed my AC and a year later there was a little problem with the coolant and he was there the next day, on a Saturday and fixed it. Ray and his crew are the only carpenters i will hire from this day forward. They just did an amazing job on removing all of the old wooden trim around the exterior of my home and replaced it all with Azek. As they did the job Ray would point out other things that needed to be fixed and added them into the job. Most carpenters would have just put a band aide over the problem, hidden it and moved on. Two people Best Yet Installations came to install 3 Best Buy appliances: a microwave, a wall oven, and a stove top. - One of them, installed the microwave and this was the only and most successful part of this transaction. - During installation, I wanted to ask a question and I said "Can I ask you a question?", the response was "I am on the call" with a rude attitude. As an apology later, they said they had a rough day before coming to my place. - During microwave installation, other person asked for my iphone charger and started using my charger for his phone. The entire time (around 3 hours) the other person was trying to install things and he was playing with his phone which was very confusing to me. I was working from home during the installation and once in a while, he was interrupting my work to tell me how much he likes my fast charger. - For the wall oven, they said my existing oven is plugged into the wall and this is rare and the chord of the new oven is not long enough and not compatible to be able install this. I asked them if this is the first time ever they replace an oven with a short cable or with a plug that may require extension and they said yes. - In the meantime, they never even considered to install my stove top and concluded that they will not install it for a reason regarding MA codes but I did not understand. I asked them what is the code they gave very vague inconsistent answers. They said this is what they concluded. Again, they may have a reason, it is just I do not know about it. - For the unsuccessful oven installation first person turned of one of the switches from circuit breaker box. To turn it back on, first person asked the second person (playing with his phone all the time) to turn it back on. Then second person turned to me asked me if I can go turn it back on :). I refused it. He stopped playing with his phone and went to the circuit breaker box. He found the box but (and get ready!) HE DID NOT KNOW WHICH SWITCH TO TURN ON FROM THE CIRCUIT BREAKER and asked my help. I had to help him for this task and I showed him the switch that is off. - When my existing oven came back on, it had a "PF "signal on it which simply means "Power Failure". It happens when electricity goes off and on which simply went away simply by pressing any button on the oven. After 45 minutes and many phone calls to their manager they could not figure this out. At some point, the person watching videos randomly hit a couple of buttons on the oven and the sign went away. Then they left my place! I guess we are happy that at least we have a new microwave! read more

My understanding was that the installation was included with my purchase, however when they arrived they began adding items that I needed to purchase from them to complete the installation. They said if I rejected their assessment that they would leave and I could try to find a local installer or a friend that would do it for me. I had been without a dryer for 6 weeks and was obviously anxious to have this install completed. When I reached out to the original vendor, they said that certain items that needed to be upgraded would require me to pay but they also agreed that the amount that I was charged for certain items was extreme. Terrible service. Bought a dishwasher from Best Buy and they sent this company to "install". They showed up 2 1/2 hours late from the scheduled time slot window with zero call or communication. Then as soon as they came to install they (two technicians) spent a couple minutes (if that) to measure and immediately said they couldn't install our dishwasher. They couldn't wait to get out of the door. Zero workmanship. My husband said he took the measurements himself and it will fit but they refused and told us to purchase a smaller dishwasher. My husband installed the dishwasher the same night himself without any issues. It fit perfectly as explained. From this experience it seemed they wanted to get home early and avoid having to do this job because they were running late. Had the same exact issue the last time I bought appliance last 6 months ago from Best Buy, the two technicians tried to tell me our doubled oven wouldn't fit either and I adamantly asked them to remeasure because we measured ourselves and they magically were able to install my oven after having to question them. Would not recommend this company to anyone, their technicians don't want to work and try to find any easy way out to avoid having to do an installation. Best Yet was the third party installer for a Samsung washer/dryer delivered to my property. When they get there there are "code updates" they say must be done which required an immediate payment of $200 for these updates (sheet vent and two water hammers). My order had included installation with no mention from either Samsung or Best Yet that it could potentially cost more money. Placing this new information at the time of service puts the consumer at a disadvantage because at that point we just want to be able to do laundry again. In this instance, the dryer was defective and we had to order a replacement. Best Yet is supposed to come out again, however this time they said they said need a new work order from Samsung to come out for the replacement otherwise we would be charged again for the installation - all of which we have already paid for. The work that they do perform seems to be serviceable. However, the details surrounding Best Yet's third party agreement with Samsung for exactly what they are supposed to do are opaque at best. Also, they have not been helpful in assisting us in rescheduling the final install through Samsung for which we are still waiting. read more

Beware of Best Yet Installation. I bought a gas dryer from Home Depot. Home Depot subcontracts the installation and removal of appliances to Best Yet Installation. Best Yet Installations sent an electrician to install a gas dryer rather than a plumber. The installer said my gas line was not up to code but he could upgrade my electric box for the tune of 800 - 1000 dollars to accommodate an electric dryer. This would mean I would need to switch my already delivered gas dryer for an electric dryer. This I could not do. Since the electrian said my gas line to the dryer didn't have a cutoff valve, I called my plumber to remedy this. The plumber came and said that I did have a cutoff valve, pointed it out to me. The plumber then installed my gas dryer that took all of 10 minutes. I called Best Yet Installations to come get the old dryer which they refused to do. I paid for the installation of the dryer - and removal at the time of purchase. I called Best Yet Installations and they could not tell me why the sent an electrician rather than a plumber to install the gas dryer. They said they couldn't remove the appliance since they did not install the appliance. Home Depot was informed of this situation and could not get any answers to the from Best Yet. First I feel Best Yet Installations was trying to scam me to upgrade my electric box rather than send a plumber to do the job. Second they said they don't get paid if they didn't do the installation. Home Depot said that they already got paid. I would be very wary of hiring anyone from Best Yet Installations. I would never use Best Yet Installations again. read more

The guys Zack and Kyle installed my new dishwasher bought from Best Buy. The dishwasher didn't close correctly and had a dent so the guys are contacting Best Buy on my behalf for a machine that will work perfectly. I hope the same team will be backmto,install that machine. This is the type of dedication and customer service that we all hope for. It reflects well on Best Yet and on Best Buy.
