I order a chicken wing dinner with rice and crab ragoon. The chicken was hard to bite into. It doesn't look like it on this picture but trust me! The bones were black. The chicken was yellow. I am scared that it is not chicken! Don't go there unless you know something that I don't! My first time and last! read more

When I go to a restaurant, there's a few things I look at as red flags, and gloves is one of them. I love it when employees wear gloves to cook and pack the food, but when the same gloves are used to pack the food and take payments, that is not sanitary. After placing my order, I watched the woman use the same gloves to process payment and package food. In the front there's hot plates with fried rice and other side dishes that are packed and served by the person at the register. The main dishes are prepared in the kitchen and placed on the pass through for packing. Because of the glove incident, I would not go back. read more

Beware!!! Business has started using smaller bowls for the rice and entree. However, obviously did NOT go down on the price. Hoping no one would notice. Will not patronize anymore. Food is delicious though. Two large orange chicken, so you know. read more

Amazing food. Exactly what you want. Good prices too. Most places want you to pay at least $20 to have dinner. Mine came out to $14. Sesame chicken and fried rice was great, no complaints. This is what I'm talking about. read more

Best cheap and good Chinese food in Charlotte. Not always authentic, but fast, good portions, and well-seasoned. If I had one complaint, it's a little greasy at times, but it's always hot and fresh. It's on the list as a not-so-secret great meal. Pork and beef dishes are recommended here, and the fried rice is verrrry nice. read more

Real time review I just ordered my food and now they are on the clock. As I wait I see a lot of to go meal going out. This is our first time getting an order to go here . The lady behind the counter is on the move and doing the work of about three people. They speak real Chinese here so I'm excited this place looks legit lol. She is speaking to the cooks in Chinese and my personal translation I think she is telling them to bust a move lol. There is a small herd of people waiting.I placed my order when I came in the door so I could make my on real time assessment.I've been waiting ten minutes so far. If the food is awesome it will have been worth the wait. I hope she speaks some more Chinese to them cooks because I Was hungry when I walk into the restaurant lol. I just heard one of the cooks yell back in Chinese and once again my translation is "I'm busting a move back here good food takes time " lol Once again this is my translation .I can tell you that the food is reasonable priced. I just heard a Christian song playing inside. That alone I will give them three stars right off the jump. I'm serious not delirious .Twenty minutes and our food has arrived Boom! Lol we ordered chicken and mixed vegetables and that was the meal of the night. Delicious and loaded enough to feed two or three people. Very generous and tasty.we also had the general chicken that was also delicious. I put some of their hot sauce on mine to make it spicy Boom! The food doesn't taste bad. There is no taste. I've tried this place several times because it's the in-laws favorite (bland is their jam), and I will not ever eat here again. Most recently, I ordered scallops in garlic sauce (identified as hot & spicy) and asked them to make it hot & spicy. I got scallops and loads of onions and celery in a brown sauce that did not indicate the presence of garlic or any other seasoning/spice. I can forgive the lack of imaginative vegetables because of supply chain, but seasoning and spices are still available. Do yourself a favor and drive on by.... read more

Great quality, portions, and service! I rarely leave reviews, and seeing 3.5 worried me. We chanced it because they were close and quick, and are so glad we did! This is a 5/5! Our new go to place. read more

Went here for lunch, and although I did not have one of their reasonably priced lunch specials, what I did have was pretty darn good! I had the General Chicken (their version of General Tso that was not spicy at all, but had some tang and a little bit of sweet, which was what I was looking for) w/lo mein noodles (I like that they let you sub instead of rice, a lot of places I have been to will not), a side order of crab rangoons, and hot and sour soup. The chicken was good, the lo mein noodles as well, but the crab rangoons were a little lacking (sorry to say, I have had better). I did not care for the egg roll that came w/my meal, but then I am super picky about my egg rolls. The rest of the members, especially the kiddos, seemed to love them. The standout to me here was the hot and sour soup! I am very picky about my hot & sour and this one was superb! Fantastic ingredients, just enough spicy heat to clear the sinuses and a wonderful array of mushrooms! Honestly, I could have had just the soup and noodles and been happily satiated. As a family of 6 we still had 3 boxes of leftovers to take home in the end, so needless to say, the portions here are pretty huge! The seating area is pretty small and there are more booths than tables, but thankfully there wasn't a lot of people there, so we were able to combine 3 of the 2 seater tables to accommodate our party. read more

Had fried dumplings, Shrimp lo main, cashew chicken. Taste, vegis, meat don't hold a candle to Best Wok at Sardis road. Dumplings were not pan fried. Or if so yesterday and reheated in microwave. Horrible. So sorry we can't find great Chinese food in the Costwold or Monroe road area any more. Gone is the best Shun Lee Palace by Frank T. Or Chens on Monroe or Dim Sum on Central. read more

OK this take out place just earned a new review!! We will be ordering again, to start their crab Rangoons are delicious, wings crispy and fresh in general most of the food we ordered was very good, I was just not too crazy about their shrimp and broccoli, portions pretty fair.Service was polite and their location looked clean, the only reason I am not giving one more star is because they don't deliver, other than that highly recommend it. read more

Went there before and had a decent experience. So, I went back again. Charlotte struggles with good Chinese food and here's another sad argument to my declaration. I wanted the scallion chicken. The texture when first served is crispy and tender morsels. There was not substantial flavor so I requested chili sauce. I only ate half and am trying to finish it for lunch today. CAN'T. Almost every bite has a crackling bite as if sand is mixed in it. There are some foods that you don't expect to have crunches and scallion chicken is one of them. There are other good dishes that I don't recall being crunchy to this extent. But, the lady that took my order was refreshingly extremely nice!!! The place is always immaculately clean, well lit, and airy. Same goes for the ladies' bathroom. I know they make good food but 2/3's scallion chicken was a no that day. read more

Fantastic food. Fantastic service. Very clean. Thankful for small neighborhood places like this one. Never disappoints!!!

Per the menu, ask for "no MSG" before ordering. Food isn't anything great but isn't terrible either. Be careful when sitting in or getting out of the booths as they're not secured to the floor. The employees are very nice and bring your food to your table for you. The fountain drinks are limited in selection (Pepsi products) but they do sell other options in bottles. read more

We love the food and people at Best Wok II! We've been coming here for 25 years snd the food is consistent with large portions.

Very good take out! Quick service. We had a TON of food per meal and enjoyed all the perfectly veggies in the Beef and Broccoli. The fried rice was perfect. The Spring Rolls were a bit difficult to eat. The ingredients inside the wrap were not chopped very finely and would fall out of the wrap with each bite. So that was the only disappointing part. read more

I took the recommendation of the Sesame Beef and Best Wok delivered. I wasn't thrilled by the dumplings but I'll give hem another try fried. The Lo Meir and General Tso's were good with sizable portions. I give this place four stars because it is exactly what I was looking for, a solid local Chinese takeout. The owner was also nice and friendly as can be with my order ready to go in just 10 minutes. read more

It's really good Chinese food with really fast delivery. One of the few places that if you say that you don't want veggies with your entre, they will just give you more of the chicken/beef/pork. The fried rice is hit and miss. When it's good it's really good, and when it misses, it's still alright, just a little bit like food court fried rice. If you want chinese food delivered, buddy up with someone and call in an order. It has to be over $25 before they will send it out, but it's the best quality delivery in the area. read more
