We contacted several automotive glass repair places in the DSM area and no one was willing to repair the chip. Glass Doctor said "Sure bring it on in!" We drove an hour there and they explained that because it was the original windshield in the car, which obviously was an antique, there was always the chance that the glass could shatter while repairing it. We felt confident enough in their abilities to have them go ahead and fix it, which they did with no problems! And the price was very, very reasonable! All of the employees there were very nice, very knowledgeable and very friendly. If we ever need future work done to any of our vehicle windows, we will definitely go to Glass Doctor of Des Moines!

They were totally professional and courteous and worked with my insurance company so that I only had to pay my deductible for the repair. It took a couple of hours to replace my windshield but they were able to calibrate it for me because it had sensors on it which took time to do. Another place said they could replace my windshield but wouldn't be able to do the calibration and that I would have to make a separate trip to Toyota for them to do the calibration. I really appreciated that Kryger could handle everything with the repair. I can't say enough good things about this place and would use their services again should I need a repair with my windshield.

The technician said it was due to another impact not faulty installation. I disagree- I have no recourse. I can't prove it and they can't either- and yet they hold all the cards. The worst part, though, was that they said I had to make a different appointment to get it fixed if it wasn't a warranty claim. I was there- took off work- and because it was a different type of appointment I have to come back? I even offered to pay out of pocket just to get it done, because the crack was in my line of sight. Still, would not fix it then. I took my business elsewhere. Oh- and the lobby smelled. Bad. Like trash and dead mice. Finally- if you want your car warranty to be in effect- it won't be. When they came to replace the glass they realized their estimator had ordered single pane glass and not double pane like my existing windows. They ordered the correct glass but refused to honor their quoted price claiming the estimator no longer worked for them. The owner was very rude and difficult To deal with. I was very unhappy but needed broken windows replaced so we negotiated a price for the work. The workers who came and replaced the glass did a very poor job with the installation. The glazing is sloppy and crooked and they didn't even bother to clean the windows. I do not recommend their services and would never use them again!
