We drove an hour there and they explained that because it was the original windshield in the car, which obviously was an antique, there was always the chance that the glass could shatter while repairing it. We felt confident enough in their abilities to have them go ahead and fix it, which they did with no problems! And the price was very, very reasonable! All of the employees there were very nice, very knowledgeable and very friendly. If we ever need future work done to any of our vehicle windows, we will definitely go to Glass Doctor of Des Moines!

They were totally professional and courteous and worked with my insurance company so that I only had to pay my deductible for the repair. It took a couple of hours to replace my windshield but they were able to calibrate it for me because it had sensors on it which took time to do. Another place said they could replace my windshield but wouldn't be able to do the calibration and that I would have to make a separate trip to Toyota for them to do the calibration. I really appreciated that Kryger could handle everything with the repair. I can't say enough good things about this place and would use their services again should I need a repair with my windshield.

The technician said it was due to another impact not faulty installation. I disagree- I have no recourse. I can't prove it and they can't either- and yet they hold all the cards. The worst part, though, was that they said I had to make a different appointment to get it fixed if it wasn't a warranty claim. I was there- took off work- and because it was a different type of appointment I have to come back? I even offered to pay out of pocket just to get it done, because the crack was in my line of sight. Still, would not fix it then. I took my business elsewhere. Oh- and the lobby smelled. Bad. Like trash and dead mice. Finally- if you want your car warranty to be in effect- it won't be. And they don't tell you that- it takes the manufacturers parts to keep the warranty. With a lease, it's required.

I go into their store at the time my appointment was and told this red headed guy I was there a little early for my appointment and he just looked at me and said there are no appointments today. Then after looking on his computer he said I was on some waitlist to be called and that I don't have an appointment and laughed at me as if I am familiar with their scheduling process. He then asked seemingly annoyed what I'm looking to get tinted on my car and rudely said well we don't have anything for scheduling today and that he'll need to get me scheduled. I was done at that point and told him I'll just call and he laughed at me again. In actuality I will not be calling them back and will be taking my money elsewhere. Do you train your employees to laugh at customers and be rude? Also do you train your employees to not offer options or to not say things like, "oh I'm sorry about the scheduling issue you experienced. Let me get you scheduled right away." This guy in front is a joke and needs to not be interacting with customers.

Although they were unable to do the windshield, due to the difficulty and specialty tools involved, they were able to do all side windows and back window and it looks fantastic, I would highly recommend. My first experience was when the heater in my car cracked my cold windshield, all the way across the bottom and the 2nd was when a weaving driver slipped onto the shoulder and the wheel kicked a large piece of asphalt into my driver side glass. I went onto the Safelite website and followed the easy steps to set an appointment each time and was able to get a next day appointment. Drop off was quick and I was able to pick up at the end of the day (which allowed the seal to dry). I was even told that any points touched were cleaned, so during this time of virus I was assured they took it seriously too. They made a stressful experience worry free for me.
