We made another appointment for Thursday, again 4:30, i came home about 4:20 to find his business card in my door. I called, he said that he had it down for Thursday afternoon and showed up at, if I understood him correctly, noon and when I wasn't home just left, didn't even call, just left. He said that he could still make it tonight possibly around 5:30, to which I agreed, but I felt it was reasonable to say that if he couldn't make it, I wouldn't try rescheduling again. His response was that he doesn't really work on a strict timeline (paraphrasing) and that he knew my time was valuable so he would pass on the job. My job is a relatively small job, I want to add a dog door to our slider, so I get it the it wasn't worth his time, but then say no at the start, don't give me a rough quote and then schedule an appointment just to miss it. Several people I reached out to have already told me they don't do the work I'm requesting, which is fine. I can't judge the quality of work, but the customer service, at least in my case, wasn't good.

I had some very specific requirements. I needed to have a grate on one side to protect it from my dogs jumping on the screen, and I need to be able to latch/unlatch it from either side, and I needed it to slide easily even when people were rough with it. They came to my home, measured, ordered the door with my specs. They rejected the first door because the manufacturer didn't meet all of my specs. They reordered, and once received, Tom and Jesse installed it. During a weekend party the door came off its track (rough treatment). I called and reported the issue, expecting an argument. I didn't get one. Rosa and Esther work the front desk ... great customer service. They reordered the door again, adjusting their specs slightly and a few days later, came back to install the upgraded door, which is now perfect. Everyone at Redlands Door were very professional and did a great job on our replacement of three…read morecloset doors. The price was good and our installer Tim was very careful to do a great job. We wanted solid wood doors that are hung from the top instead of the typical bottom track. Redlands Door was able to find the hardware to accomplish this. They ordered the doors and had them painted to match our current color. Two bedrooms had double mirrored doors and the master had three plain doors. All are non-standard sizes, which made buying them from a Home Depot or Lowes impossible. As mentioned, Tim was very through and made sure everything was installed correctly. He found that there was some additional siding that needed to be added to be sure the doors closed with no gap. It was extra challenging as besides being non-standard, the wall are slightly off square. He also did a great job in cleaning up the area when done. I would not hesitate to recommend Redlands Door as well as call on them again.
