Stayed here for 3 nights. Great location: you're near the I87 ramps, gas stations, supermarkets. There was plenty of parking so we always found a spot near our room. There was a short wait for check in. Diamond status was acknowledged and I was given a choice of 2 beverages: water or soda. The room/bathroom was clean. There were 2 sinks in the room which was a huge plus. However there is only 1 hook in the bathroom and the bathroom is on the smaller size. The beds are also on the smaller size. Breakfast was good, large seating area with lots of tables/chairs. Good variety of food too and there were 2 waffle makers. Breakfast staff was busy refilling the food and cleaning up. They use ceramic plates/bowls and metal utensils here instead of the disposable/plastic cutlery and plates. There is a coffee/espresso machine by the front desk but it only worked 1 of the 3 days we were there. read more

The room itself was very nice! I did enjoy our stay there. however, the lobby was extremely busy and lot of people just milling around. I have no idea why so many folks were in the lobby. In fact, a bunch of people outside too...must have been a large group together - I think it was for a Soccer match among high schools. The reason for the low score was the noise level. When there are sports teams staying, they should all be in the same wing of the hotel. Yes, wing. There are several wings and it did not appear that they were all together. High schooler can be jerks and very loud - we had to call management on them. The breakfast was great - there was even almond milk available for us non-dairy drinkers. read more

Nice location and clean room, but almost no hot water in the shower. Also a request for parking a boat trailer made months in advance was totally ignored. The halls had a strange odor. This place needs a refresh, but the location is very convenient. read more

We recently stayed for a weekend trip, close proximity to shopping areas and downtown Plattsburgh. The hotel has a beautiful entrance and lobby. The male clerk who checked us in was beyond pleasant and helpful. The rooms are nice and clean, they could be brighter but I'll take clean over bright. However, upon entering the bathroom housekeeping overlooked two dirty washcloths left in the shower by previous guests. As I have housekeeping experience myself I just removed with a clean towel and let it go. Breakfast is included with your stay, downfall is you have to be served and it is one girl doing it herself. She is kind and speedy but having to wait in line and not serve yourself is a bit much now that covid restrictions have been lifted. The breakfast area is large and welcoming. The pool "room" and arcade are wonderful. Pool is clean and large. The space is kept neat; plenty of towels and seating. Super family friendly! Plus, pool is open 7am until 11pm. Awesome hours! Fitness center also available which is fantastic! Pet friendly, which is great for the area as many people look for a nice hotel with this amenity. Overall, we would definitely recommend this hotel. When visiting the area, we will stay again. read more

Huge hotel and very nice. We had a suite which was spacious. It was very reasonably priced. It has a full wall with appliances; microwave, refrigerator, toaster and coffee maker with a larger then usually (for a hotel) sink. The kitchen had some dishes, cups and mugs, and silverware. It even came with paper towels. There is a couch and a desk. The bedroom has a king bed, large jetted corner tub (big enough for two), a sink and a separate room for commode and shower. The bed had both hard and soft pillows - a plus. Although it is a great deal, with a few modifications it could be better. I would have loved a blanket in living area while watching TV, there are no updated receptacles for charging electronics and it could use a magnifying mirror on the wall with bathroom sink. The closet is also huge and has a luggage rack but no light. There also were not enough hangers. It's only our first day and haven't yet taken a shower but there are certainly enough towels - both for bathtub and jetted tub. There are two TVs with most good stations but no access to a menu to see what's on and when. It's Dish TV and because I don't have one, not used to 12.3,12.5 .... as an example. All in all people are very nice. Jess at check in was super. They even called me when the waitress remembered I told her we were staying there as I left my charge card at the restaurant. Stayed here 2 separate nights this past week... the first night was less than stellar but the staff did more than I imagined to make the 2nd night much more enjoyable. If you read any of my previous reviews, I hold customer service above any amenities one may offer. The staff here did a magnificent job at service recovery. I learned to speak up if something isn't satisfactory and address it immediately than waiting. I feel like if I addressed my concerns in real time instead of the next day after the fact , all would have been well. Lesson learned. Great location on/off 87, near multiple restaurants, big box stores, gas stations and pharmacies. There is one connected restaurant, 99 Restaurants and a Ground Round a hop, skip and a jump away. Included continental breakfast was appreciated. Clean, indoor pool Safe, convenient parking Comfortable beds, plenty of pillows Clean, organized rooms Thank you to the staff at the Best Western for making my stay enjoyable and I appreciate all that you did. I have to travel to Plattsburgh once a month for work and I believe I'll be making this my hotel of choice for my stays. The hand-written note and chocolate was a very personal and genuine touch. The pictures of the hotel look nice, but really this is just an old hotel that got a few scattered updates. The whole place has a bad smell. Now, our room smelled nasty like dirty feet and carpet. The room was dusty, like they had just changed the bedding but not moved stuff around to clean. There were cobwebs in the ceiling. The bathroom was gross, tub needed to be bleached it was all soap scum/brown so I didn't use it. There was a glob of something dried on the toilet seat, and the exhaust fan didn't work, which was a blessing because it was caked in dust. I intended to complain at check out, but we had to rush out for a wedding in the am. We checked in late (after 8pm) and neither of us had the energy after driving 4 hours to complain the night we got there. It was tolerable for one night but certainly not any more than that. For $50 more I'll stay at a Hilton or Mariott hotel. read more

My boyfriend & I stayed the night here on our way to Canada. We had been driving for a few hours and did not arrive until after midnight; however, Scott was extremely helpful in getting us a room and making sure everything was ready for our arrival. We booked this as a get away with the kids. Booked a balcony room right in the pool area and it was totally worth it. Room was bigger than we thought it would be, all though the bathroom was a little slim. Pool area was clean and really big so everyone had their own space to hang. Right in the shopping area/metro area so if you're looking for quaint and quiet, this is not for you. We had a great time and will be returning soon. Staff was super friendly and helpful! read more

Great place to stopover on the way to Canada. Very convenient, right off the 87. We checked in late, no worries 24/7 manned counter. Also, pets allowed, free WIFI, large flatscreen TV, pool, fitness, complimentary full breakfast. Very clean room and bathroom, recently renovated. Comfy bed and decent pillows. terrible. to say i was disappointed is an understatement. at check-in the guy at the desk was more interested in getting out to smoke something than getting me settled. he was on his way out when i arrived and was exasperated and snappy while doing the paperwork. the room stunk of old and decay with a heavy background of smoke. if you are at all averse to stink this is probably not the place for you. me? never again. read more

This is by far the best hotel in Plattsburgh. The staff is exceptionally friendly. The rooms are above standard in cleanliness and the beds were extremely comfortable. Even though we had next door neighbors, we didn't hear them! And it's right in the middle of Plattsburgh. You can walk to the mall, to neighborhood restaurants, etc. It's a great place for a staycation. The only complaint I have is how hot the pool room is. read more

The room was clean, cool (temperature wise) and quiet. They play music in the hallway after 10 am which was a bit weird.

We always stay at this hotel when visiting our daughter who attends SUNY Plattsburgh. The front desk staff is always friendly and helpful. Thank you Dave. The breakfast buffet has seen improvements since they renovated the hotel. The rooms are clean. We always have our dog with us and wish people would pick up after their dog outside. read more

Have never had a problem with this hotel until this stay. First day went well but the next night our key cards did not work to let us in the building. This was after we had confirmed with two different desk workers and a manager that our keys would not be deactivated (we decided to stay an extra day as we WERE having a good trip). The desk did not believe us that we couldn't get into the hotel. After having to argue to get new key cards we noticed none of the outdoor lighting in our section of the hotel was working. We informed the desk once we finally made it in the room and they once again did not believe us so we took photos. After this we contacted Hotels.com and they said they would look into it. The manager refused to speak to Hotels.com, the person working for them was so nice and tried to help. The next morning the manager again refused to speak to either us nor Hotels.com. When we tried to explain the seriousness of the combination of both our keycards not working as well as no outdoor lights and the desk worker said "What? Are you afraid of the dark?" That is OUTRAGEOUS! Had they have said this to a young woman in a college town I would be enraged. DO NOT STAY HERE! You are not a "guests" to them you are an inconvenience! Staff very very friendly and helpful. Very Clean rooms, decor was ok, kind of dated. No elevator so be prepared to drag your luggage up steps. It seems like I walked and walked and walked down long twisting hallways to get to my room.
